The filtration system

Karl Zeal operated his Soul-eyes to the maximum. Amidst the looming darkness caused by the gushes of the Yin-yang perfect thumb, Zeal felt it might not augur well. But he still had to give it his best. The poison jetted out without stopping; the large log moved irregularly. Zeal held his breath and made his first jump. He climbed on top of the first wood that rammed towards him. Immediately he settled down—five wood came from all his direction. They moved swiftly from different angles. At the same time, the wood he stood on top broke apart, prompting Zeal to appear defenseless. As the woods dragged Zeal under free fall, he must prepare to clash with those unnormal panic-inducing logs. In this instance, Zeal still felt bothered about his situation of not breathing. The air in his lung was quickly depleting due to the rapid and intense movement changes he employed.

Karl Zeal had lost all his aura, and there wasn't much he could do under the uncontrollable rapid free fall. So he focused his Soul-eyes; the intangible orb that orbited him had increased tremendously over the unnoticed period; it had grown to a few one million meter radii. His Soul-eyes scatted across the sphere; they appeared just like rice grains. At this moment, the eyes began to operate with high exceptional skills in concert with Zeal's brain and mind power. Instantly, Zeal calculated the trajectory of the logs. Honestly, he could only pray the trunks wouldn't be bold enough to change positions suddenly. Of course, he understood, such a thing might be unlikely since Soul-eyes captured them during execution. Zeal reeled himself gingerly; he avoided the first hit, but he used a lot of air in the lung for that execution. Just as the other two logs came sharply, Zeal jinked in succession and spurred himself to appear in a supine position. The last wood came directly below his waist; Zeal spooled himself and placed his two hands on the charging wood; he lifted with immediate alacrity.

Executing these tedious movements had extracted all the air Karl Zeal stored away in his lung. His white cheek had become plump and red—he was suffocating. Zeal's overall system operation had become a nudge slower than before; he steadily lost himself. In fact, for only a few hours, Zeal couldn't escape choking and blacking. And almost when things were becoming more difficult for Zeal, the intensity of the wood strike became stronger. Right in this instance, a heavy broad wood came from Zeal's right cardinal points. He tried his best to delay by running aimlessly. Most of the wood rammed at him. Of course, he did his best to defend himself. He tried as much as possible not to inhale the circulated gas. Zeal wasn't going to dare the sordid fiend, Sou Long. He wasn't worried about whether he could survive after inhaling the poisonous gas; he just feared the old thing declaring the test failed. He didn't know what would replace the test next time. So Zeal wanted as much as possible to pass all the tests, even if it was barely. So he held his breath.

Just as the wood whooshed at him, Zeal trotted around like a tramp. He avoided most of the logs while others rammed at him mercilessly like a soulless sinner. He couldn't jump or perform any fancy moves, and he was dying, worst of all. Zeal vomited three mouthfuls of blood, but he felt somewhat different. His lost complexion began to recover, albeit slowly.

Karl Zeal's inner body operation had begun to change without him knowing about it. Sou Long had never told him about the changes. Or his real reason for having him partake in the breath training. Everything was a jumble. But Zeal had no time to observe his body—he was seriously suffering. His body continuously grew light, and his pallid countenance became somewhat rich. This time, Zeal had the opportunity to explore some meager movement to survival, even though they were not worth mentioning.

It was as though the log noticed Zeal's improvement; their killing precise movements became faster and more chaotic. Zeal understood that jumping around would pull death closer to his nostril; he employed his shadow slithering motion. But he moved with the minimum speed in an irregular pattern. Even though Zeal's velocity wasn't much, he still left shadows in his wake. They were like colorful mirages. Zeal began to see his movement flaws now that he moved with countable speed and a simple gait. He adjusted his shadow slithering motion to perfection while evading the whooshing logs. However, the more time that expired, Zeal's body became lighter. At the same time, twelve long lazy hours had passed since Zeal began his training.

But some significant changes had started inside Zeal's inner body; he had grown another trachea and lung. That was not all; he had grown another air vessel. At this moment, he felt both hot and cold simultaneously. He feared he had inhaled the poison, and he was absolutely right. However, it was a minimum amount that wouldn't hurt the likes of Zeal. Instead, the Yin-yang perfect thumb had begun to help Zeal connect his newly formed trachea and lung and his new air vessel. The tiny amount of the poison was consciously helping him birth new organ-system and veins. Also, they continuously strengthened the newborn organ system and veins, making them evolve even stronger. Of course, this extraordinary circumstance and meticulous planning came from Sou Long's supernatural insights and capability. He had made this thing happen. So others trying this stunt would only perish in front of this absolute force. After all, who was Sou Long? He was extraordinary, after all. The organ system that appeared was the 'filtration system.' It was a mixture of the energy and biological system. The entire Organ-system looked like another respiratory system laid behind the original respiratory tract. Of course, even though they look somewhat similar, there was a stark difference. After all, the respiratory system had bodily color, but the Filtration-system kept its energy (elemental) color.

Once Zeal's internal system evolved, his countenance became rich; there was no atom of suffering again. His filtration worked in concert with the respiratory system. They could continuously recycle the air inside Zeal's system without him needing to breathe in the fresh air. Of course, there were still limits. But Zeal could eliminate them with his growth. However, Zeal slammed his newly recovering body on the ground as he utilized his shadow-slithering motions. He stood embarrassed and confused. Stunned, he noticed he couldn't control his body. It was his body, yet it felt different. He tried a few times until he adapted to his new evolved self; what he needed now was impeccable control over his body. First, he learned he didn't need air like before. He also noticed the burning and cold-biting feeling he felt had mysteriously disappeared. Moreover, he noticed he became faster—like Zeal was way faster than when he previously operated shadow slithering motion with lightning. Zeal understood that he could go even quicker with the addition of a lightning boost.

With a refreshed feeling!? Zeal echoed in his heart: 'Sou-eyes, ultimate.' There was a palpable feeling in the air, but Soul-eyes were invisible to all eyes except Sou Long. The spiritual eyes gloriously released a blaring sound (that only Zeal heard) as they glistened with powers. The eyes rapidly moved in a horrific way like they were alive. Or like they had a mind of their own. Zeal began to capture the movement of the erratic logs. In fact, to him, they weren't all that irregular because Soul-eyes showed him various patterns, which helped him make quick and decent judgments. Two logs whooshed toward Zeal from the front and back; their time limits were a few seconds before they would ram him to pieces. However, as they were about to smash Zeal, he leaped up effortlessly. It was as if he padded his feet with a springboard. He jumped in the air and jinked smoothly to another incoming log. Zeal dealt with the not-so-threatening trunks till he exhausted the fourteen hours that Sou Long had set out for him.

After the last seconds, a mysterious power tore down the orb. Karl Zeal sat and crossed his legs. The lad breathed in and out; he wanted to regulate his overall system. He immediately began cultivating a breathing sutra that a mysterious force had somehow unlocked for him; it was among the many sutras in the Divine nine-heaven sutra that Sou Long gave to him.

"Well done for passing the trial." At this moment, Zeal heard Sou Long; the old thing always behaved like some dignified king or scholar when he was actually a sordid fiend. But gradually (through experiences), Zeal had begun to trust this demon of a man. At least, his body and mind had been growing strong. As long as he persevered, he would see the hope at the end of each training. It made Zeal break out a meaningful smile.
