Chapter 67: Ambush

I run my hand against Sol's back as he clings to me a little tighter. His breathing grew more regular as his grip on my shirt loosens. I let my hand wander a little lower, slipping under his shirt as he gasps lightly from the notion.

Sol had managed to calm down, but what was I thinking of doing now?

I slip my hand out from his shirt, leaning him back against the couch as I placed the blanket over his body. I wiped away the loose strand of tears that slid down his face before stroking his cheek.

"... What did that perverted wolf do to you?" I lightly brush my thumb across his lips as Sol moans in his sleep.

My frozen heart skips a beat as I pull away. I quickly headed for the window, deciding to gaze out at the moonless sky as I tried to shift my gaze to something other than Sol.

However, I couldn't shake the feeling of his small frame in my arms. Even the way he clung to me made the feelings I had long forgotten resurface.
