Chapter 96: Irreplaceable

"This isn't it either!" I scribbled over the words I've written on a paper. 

Of course I could have opted for writing on the tablet but there was just something about the good ol' pen and paper... Though most of my pen's ink had dried up.

"There's no need to rush, you know. I had already come up with a plan to support you for roughly 10 years." Darryl nodded his head as he scrolled through some of his mail when I turned to glance over at him.

"Oh... That's not... Wait... 10 years?! Y-you really think I would take that long?!" I gasped as Darryl shut his hologram to look at me.

"It's not that I think you'll take that long, but I'm just providing you with ample time to reach your own definition of success. Plus... It seems we do have a long time more to go." Darryl walks over, peering at the lump of metal on my work desk as I blushed.
