Chapter 109: Light Jokes

I would laugh about this but the whole situation feels absurd the more I think about it. I stare at the hand mirror Sol had handed to me and glanced at the bandages wrapped around my head.

The settee shifted a little to the side, indicating Sol was sitting beside me. I loosened the tension in my wrist, letting my hand fall to my lap as the image reflected in the mirror briefly showed a reflection not of myself but of Sol.

"I thought this was impossible to ever happen." I frowned at my reflection in the mirror, realising how a frowning expression didn't suit Sol's face at all.

"It must feel terrible for you as well, right? So—" I trailed off as I noticed how I was busy primping myself, by myself I mean my body.

"Eh?! Oh... Uhh. Perhaps for you. I always wanted to know what it was like being so tall." Sol grinned to himself, but somehow the expression on my face as he smiled made me feel rather uncomfortable.
