Chapter 134: Unfair

A silence hung in the living room as we sat side by side in the dimly lit room. I stole a glance at Sol who sat beside me, the silence relatively unusual in his regard since he was often the one inclined to liven up the conversation.

It could also be said because he couldn't bear the silence, that he often have something turned on in the background. However, it isn't as if the silence was new to us when it came down to it... It's just... right now, I'm rather distracted by my thoughts which kept spiraling in circles while the silence profoundly aids it.

I know I was the one who suggested we sat down together for a talk, yet, I couldn't find the right words to say at that very moment. I probably could have managed to— if it weren't for the misspoken words from earlier. Thinking back to it, I now felt a little embarrassed for even allowing myself to blurt it out.
