Chapter 144: The Background of the Project

Morning arrived as I yawned and peeled my eyelids back, yet the familiar head of ginger was nowhere to be found. I searched below the covers, under the bed and even made my way around the room in search of his fluffy curls yet to no avail. I sighed, acknowledging the dream of waking up beside him after getting into a rather spirited argument being nothing short of a dream as I settled for throwing the blankets over the bed in an attempt to make the bed instead.

I stared outside the window, noting that it wasn't that late in the afternoon and for a record, it was the latest I'd ever slept in. It was a little surprising how Sol had managed to get up that early without my help and how I didn't even hear the alarms he set. And I have to say, he sets a ton of them. By a ton, I meant one within every five minutes of the last one, and since he uses the old model of cell phones, the alarm could overlap which made his alarms a literal cacophony of noises.
