Alpha Of Everfur Howlers

Alpha Brendon's parents were the previous leaders of the pack. I didn't recognize them when I first walked into the room. But, they were so similar to Brendon that I knew it was them.

Yvette, his mother was the main reason Brendon's hair was so curly and long. I could tell because her hair was what he inheritted. Her hair was georgeous even in her old age. Her curls were strong hold. They were wild. "Oh my child~!" She spoke with a french acent. Because, rumor had it she came from france. His parents met when his father went overseas to study. I studied names and languages in college. Her name meant archer. She was as strong as her name came to be.

Then there was his father, Diego. "I heard there's been some trouble going on in the pack since I retired to help your sister look for her mate." His father had a hispanic mother which is where his name came from. I only know these things because Romona was a shameful gossip. She liked to justify it by 'getting to know your alpha's background'.

When we walked into Alpha Brendon's office there were a few hard faces to make out. My father, mother, Alpha Fang, Nena, Diego, and Yvette. There was a girl that looked like the Ramirez family. I knew then it had to be Brendon's sister, Artemis. But there was also a stronger scent in the room coming from a girl that stood by Artemis. I could tell from their scent they had marked eachother as mates. Shit, is that an alpha female? I tensed up instantly. That was a hard slap to my face! I never thought females were allowed to inherit their father's pack! Wolf laws must be changing...

His parents rushed their son when he stepped through the door. I was almost jealous as he hugged his sister last and picked her up- spinning her. It felt fast as they smoothered each other in small talk to get caught up.

"Is this your luna?" His father finally asked as all eyes landed on me. I could see it in his sister's eyes. The sadness. Like she suddenly thought about- Aaliyah. I think they were friends.

Brendon grabbed my hand as he dragged me foward and I stood in front of them. "This is Vivienne Blair, the luna of my pack," he told them.

"I'm sorry for you loss dear," Yvette whispered to me as she stepped up to me and grabbed my hand. She brought it to my stomach and pressed there. I felt slight tingles. The small pain I was feeling there disappeared as she whispered a prayer to the moon goddess. "Bless this child," Yvette whispered. She was a healer~! I widened my eyes as I watched warmth travel into my body where she touched me. Diego smiled as he grabbed his wife's shoulders and brought her a few steps back from me. Brendon had been watching intensly. His look lcy. It scared me. I blushed as I looked from him to his sister and her mate. I gave Fang and raised eyebrow look for help to move things along.

I pratically jumped at the look Fang had. Brendon wasn't the only one giving icy looks. Fang was looking at me with rage. But the rage wasn't for me. He was breathing hard like he was trying to calm down. But as soon as his eye met mine he broke his cold stature to clear his throat and help the room.

"This is Alpha Rosemary Mabel Rivera from our east bordering neighboring pack. The alpha of Everfur Howlers." Fang had introduced her causually. I noticed she was alone from her packmates. Were there more here with her? Perhaps being shown around the pack house while we had our meeting? She must have left her beta in charge to come here.

"Just call me Mabel," Alpha Mabel said to us as she gave a friendly smile towards Brendon and stepped up towards us. "I understand you're Alpha Brendon? and this is your Luna Vivienne?" She asked as she reached out and extended a friendly hand shake. "Alpha Fang asked me here because there is some trouble you're having with the neighboring vampire coven? My pack has also been suffering from the coven Lamia. Alpha Fang extended an invitation here so we can discuss a war plan."

"It's true," Brendon said as we shook her hand.

"Lamia isn't a woman to be triffled with. She's serious about uprooting our pack. I don't know all of her intentions, but-"

Alpha Mabel put her hand up and gave a look like she understood.

"My warriors have been spying on her. She plans to kill each alpha in the area as well as our strong warriors. The omegas will be sold off in her auction houses as pets, blood, sex, or work slaves to her people. I was planning on moving my pack safely away but then I met your sister, Artemis."

The two exchanged loving looks.

"She made me realize I can't move her away from her old pack. At least not without a fight. We will join you," Alpha Mabel spoke so strongly- I was impressed.

"We need to strike immediantly," I spoke up quickly. The longer we wait, the less likely my brothers will be alive when we get there.

"We will," Brendon promised me and gave me a look. He didn't want me to rush without a plan. I knew his look was right. We couldn't go so easily into the den of vampires. But, we still have something so powerful I need to tell them about. The wolf's bite is poisonous to vampires. This is valuable information, Brendon needs to know.

"How much longer until the full moon?" I asked as I remembered how close it had been last time I looked. What if I'm too late and they're already feeling the curse of rogue?

"Relax," my father said quickly and put his hands up. "You don't need to worry about that right now. There is still some time to get your brothers back before the full moon," he assured me.

"There's less than seventy two hours," Nena whispered as she rubbed her elbow.

"Then we better get started on strategies," Brendon said as he looked at Fang. "I need you to head to our west border and to pack Blacktail Growlers. They're a little agressive but I want you to see if they've been having trouble with Lamia. If so, ask them to join us. You only have fifteen hours to get there and back to me with an answer."

Alpha Fang looked at Brendon with a stressed expression but he looked at me and sighed. "F-fine," he said in agreement before heading to the door. "I will be back before you know it," he assured us before leaving with the door shut.

Brendon turned towards me and kissed me on the cheek. He leaned in and whispered, "I have to brief my parents, sister, and Mabel on the situation happening in this pack. It might be boring." I nodded as I understood what he wanted. Looks like I will have to spend some time away from him but with the safety of another person's eyes. Father probably wants to head back to the boarders and mom probably needs some shut eye from the looks of her bags under her eyes. Sister time it is. I can't believe he wants to throw me out like this... Maybe I can use this oportunity to get my things moved to the pack house or- see about Donovan.

"Nena, I might need your help. Do you have time for a sister?" I asked her. She smiled brightly as she nodded.

"Yeah, sure sis. Whatever I can do to help~" She walked up to me and locked elbows. I kissed Brendon goodbye before walking out of the office with her by my side. When we were out of sight from that door and out of ear shot I was positive I could tell her my plan.

"I want to go see Donovan, do you know where they're keeping him?" I asked her. She nodded as she took me down another hall.

"Yeah, they threw him in a holding cell when they suspected him for pack treason."

"I think it's time we let him go," I told her. "He's innocent."
