Chapter 8: End of Class

The two kids were blinded by the light from the stun grenade. After 5 seconds, still dizzy, they realize that Araki was nowhere to be found. Rather than attacking them, he retreated.

"Jiro, use your quirk." Denki shouts as Jiro plugs her ears on the wall.

"He's running on the stairs. He may be regrouping with Momo." Jiro said as she tries to recover from the effects of the grenade.

-In the monitoring room-

Just like the ones on the building, the students also saw the flash of lights, except it, didn't blind them and even saw Araki's actions.

"Why didn't he attack them? It was a good chance since he caught them off guard." Kirishima asks out loud.

"Maybe he isn't confident in fighting the two of them. Or he has other plans. Nonetheless, it was still a good chance." Shoto is the one who answered which garnered attention from many.

Araki arrives on the fifth floor and enters the room where the bomb is. Momo is waiting for her with metal bars on her side. Araki immediately helps him secure the room with the barricade disabling them from entering.

"They just reached the second floor. Be ready."

In the next tens of seconds, footsteps can be heard outside the room. It was clear that they had arrived at the floor.

"They barricaded the door and windows with metal. It would be hard to get in. Do we force our way through?" Jiro asks. Denki is also observing and is thinking about how to get in. No matter how hard he kicks the door, it wouldn't even budge.

They tried to push through harder for minutes. They were about to give up when they saw a small movement on the door. Pushing harder, they manage to open the door.

But this caused their defeat as after opening the door and entering, they were attacked from behind.

Jiro collapsed from being tased while the other one was captured and tied on the wall.

Their last 3 remaining minutes pass being tied down which results in the villain's win. They all meet up in the monitoring room to discuss the battle when Denki asks him.

"Hey dude, how did you sneak up on our backs?" "There are two entrances and exits. It's easy to sneak out especially when your enemy is distracted. Also, given that the hallway and room are dark, it is even easier." Araki told him while the other students listen.

"So, for the match, who do you think is the MVP?" All Might asks the students and many raise their hands.

"Sir, Araki. Because him buying enough time making the opponents lose the battle." Kirishima says.

"I would like to agree but, the MVP is both of them. Although what Young Araki did is good, the risk is there and he could have endangered himself. Coincidentally, he has a plan to regroup with his partner, Young Yaoyorozu, who did a great job. If you don't know, she has set up so many traps while you guys were focused on Araki but I told her to remove it. I also told them to wrap the battle as soon as everything that you guys can digest is already shown because it might do more harm on their two classmates." All Might looks at them with his great smile.

"If you guys want to know the reason, the effects of these traps are too much for a training battle and must not be inflicted on the students of your level. No offense to Young Kaminari and Young Kyoka, but the preparation their enemies have shown is too much for a mock battle. Although it would be a good lesson for 'Hideout Mapping' and 'Infiltration & Espionage', it is too much for now." The evaluation come to an end and the students changed to their uniforms and went back to the classroom.

On their way back, the students talk with each other and Araki is talking with Denki, Jiro, and Momo. They were all talking about how they could improve and brainstormed about each other's quirks.

"Why didn't you use it on your body. Although the difference in strength is still low for now, the effect is still there. Also, if you train it strong enough, you might even defeat Hawks in the speed department after a couple of years." They were talking about how the situation could have been different.

Momo is also talking to Jiro as they walk. "You should always check the enemies' position especially when you are about to initiate every step of your plan. Even before entering rooms and hallways."

The two winners give advice to their two enemies in which they listen attentively. "Your quirks are a really good combination you know." The two blush as they remember what Araki said in the match. Jiro punches Araki's shoulder to vent out her frustration in which Momo laughs.

They soon reach the room and saw everyone talking with each other. Araki and the others also joined in with others. The school day passed with no interesting thing happening other than Midoriya coming back in the afternoon.

As Araki walks out of the school, he is called by Denki. "Hey man! Let's go to the mall. I've heard from the other class that there will be a joint activity two days from now." He runs towards him as Jiro and Momo walk behind him.

"What a lame excuse. Even if we do have a joint class, it's not like we need to buy anything for the class. Still, I'm down. Are they going with us?" He replies as he receives an awkward smile from Denki.

Instead of Denki, Jiro answers his question. "Yes. Momo is hesitant at first because this is unplanned, but we called her parents and asked for their permission so we just have to make sure that she can arrive at their home."

The two smiles at him and they took off on their journey.

-On the mall at Shizuoka Prefecture-

After a couple of hours hanging out on the mall, the two men are currently standing and leaning on a metal railing with paper bags in their arms.

"You know, I tried your idea. But it is kind of painful and the muscle cramps I get after the effect disappears feel like hell." Denki shivers as he remembers the days where even a single twitch of muscle is torture.

"It has been years. I'm pretty sure your resistance and your muscle became stronger. Anyways, we look like miserable boyfriends don't you think?", says Araki while the two of them are leaning on metal railings and look at the two women who are currently in the restroom.

"Shut up dude. Hahahaha, it is only a few days and you're already bullying the two of us." "Well, half of it is true though." Denki continues to laugh as Araki walks to the two girls who just came out. " Wait! Which part?" He shouts as he follows his friend.
