Chapter 38: Oldtown

{A.N. This had been asked, so I thought I'd throw it out there for once. Maybe I'll start writing what year it is at the beginning of each chapter going forward, I don't know. We'll see.}

(General POV)

To get to Oldtown from the Sunset Sea, one first needed to sail up the Whispering Sound, a large bay that lies on the southwestern coast of the Reach.

Even before Will could see the city, he saw the mighty Hightower off into the distance. It was truly a marvelous structure, one that even he could appreciate. Still, he didn't come to such a place to look at tall buildings.

As soon as they docked at the port, everyone disembarked the ship and began to make their way towards a popular inn that nobility often liked to stay at.

Oberyn frequented it often when he came to Oldtown, and it was actually the inn where Obara was conceived, something which the young woman did not seem to like.

She actually made her distaste for the city known to all of them, but Will didn't care one way or another how she felt about it. If she had a problem, she could continue walking back to Dorne, an option which she had refused.

Walking down the cobbled street, Will couldn't help but compare the buildings and everything else of Oldtown to Asteria.

He might have been a little biased, given how he was only looking for faults, but there were many things about the city which were actually really nice.

For one, and this was just the first thing that came to not only Will, but everyone else's minds, the city smelled of flowers, almost like a perfume.

For a city that was only comparable to King's Landing in size and population, there was no comparing the two cities. Where King's Landing was overcrowded and filled with thugs and homeless, Oldtown seemed like it had been fitted for the number of occupants.

There was the odd homeless person that could be seen every so often, but the number was only a fraction of King's Landing. To top it off, the streets were all cobbled, and the buildings were all uniformly built.

The city must have had a proper sewer system as well, given how Will couldn't see any shit by buildings, and piss wasn't running down the street.

'Definitely better than King's Landing...' Will thought, giving the city another once over before he stepped through the doors of the Inn.

It was late afternoon when they arrived in the city, and though the hour was late, the city was just beginning to come alive for the day.

Like Sunspear, the summer days were sweltering and unbearable, but they came alive at night. Lanterns were already being lit and placed along the roads, giving the people some semblance of light.

"Should we go to sleep or go sightseeing?" Aegon asked, already with one foot out the door. It was true they had been travelling all day, but he had never been to Oldtown before and all he wanted to do was explore.

By the look on Jon's face, he too shared his brother's thoughts on the matter, already inching his way towards the door. It was obvious the two of them wanted to go and explore.

Before answering the question, Will looked over to Rhaenys, who still looked kind of sick. She was leaning on Elia for support, and looked like she was going to throw-up again.

"You two go explore, I'm going to try another healing session with Rhaenys before we try getting some sleep. I want to try and visit the Citadel in the morning to see if they can help us figure this out." Will said, tossing a small coin purse full of various coins towards the boys, choosing Rhaenys over exploring.

Besides, he could always explore by himself later, so this wasn't a big deal. Just as the two boys were about to run out of the building, Elia stopped them before looking over at her brother.

"Oberyn, could you please go with them? I don't want them to get into trouble without knowing anything about the city." Without hesitating in the slightest, Oberyn grabbed Drox and Ellaria before they all began walking towards the door.

"Don't worry, my dear sister! I'll take care of them!" The prince of Dorne declared smugly, rather pumped himself to see Oldtown. It had been many years since his last visit after all.

"Are you sure it's a good idea to leave Oberyn in charge? The last time he was here, he insulted 2 noble houses, and killed 6 men with poison. I know it was never proven, but he admitted as such when he told me the story." Drox quickly whispered to Will as he was being dragged for the door, but he got a shoulder shrug in response.

"If he causes problems, just get back to me as quickly as you can. Hopefully we won't have to burn the city to the ground." Will said, and Drox hoped the last part was just a joke, but given who was talking, it could very well have been serious.

As soon as they were gone, Will helped Rhaenys to their room, where he began the healing process, which actually did seem to relieve the young woman of her symptoms, but it isn't permanent.

(Aegon POV)

"Where should we go first?!" Aegon asked the group excitedly. Seeing new places was always thrilling, especially one as big and beautiful as Oldtown.

It wasn't everyday that he got to see the second largest city in all of Westeros. He of course enjoyed being out in the wilderness and riding his horse through the fields, hell he even enjoyed being out on the sea going to his next adventure, but what he really enjoyed was being in a city.

It wasn't until they had gone back beyond the Wall to the Thenns Mountains that he realized how much he truly enjoyed being in the city, but whatever. It wasn't like it was the end of the world for him.

Plus with Will around, things were usually exciting. Being with him, Aegon and the others got to see history in the making.

Take the Iron Islands for instance. There was no way the world wouldn't be talking about that a few months from now, and Aegon knew it.

"How about we check out a market? I could go for some food." Jon suggested. Oberyn, on the other hand, had his own idea what they should do.

"Do you know what a brothel is?" The prince of Dorne asked with a cheeky grin on his face.

Both of the boys knew full well what a brothel was, and Drox and Ellaria had frequented them often with Oberyn over the last few years, and Aegon had been practically raised by the man for most of his life, hearing most of the stories only hours after they happened.

Given that bit of information, it could be reasoned that the question was directed towards the only one present that Oberyn wasn't sure of who had been to or knew what a brothel was.

"Nope! Nope! We're not doing that! We can go to a brothel anywhere, but it's not everyday that we can go and explore a new city!" Aegon stated, shutting down Oberyn's idea before it could even get a foothold in their minds.

Aegon himself wasn't completely opposed to going to a brothel, but there were a few reasons stopping him from doing so.

For one, he knew how Jon felt on the subject, them having had a brotherly talk a few weeks back after Will had given them his own little talking to on the matter.

It was more like he explained it in a way that it was perfectly fine to have sexual relations with a woman before you were married, but don't go sticking your dick in the first woman that would open her legs for you.

A birds and the bees talk had been only minutes before the whole discussion, and despite the two of them already knowing everything, Will still gave it. He hadn't actually wanted to, but Elia had asked him to make the boys weren't completely ignorant on sex.

Rather than just a simple talk, Will had actually given an lesson about the female body, and how best to please a woman. He went above and beyond as the older brother figure for the two, explaining things he had learned from Rhaenys, and a few things from his past life. Needless to say, the two boys had learned a thing or two.

Jon nodded his head in thanks towards his brother. Thinking back to a few weeks ago, he remembered how hesitant he had been to talk about how he felt on the matter, thinking his brother would make fun of him, but Aegon had been fully supportive of it.

At first Jon had stated how he couldn't bear to bring a bastard into the world to be treated as he had been treated all of his life before meeting Will, but Oberyn had actually been the one to clear up the matter for him.

"Why does them being a bastard have anything to do with how you feel about them?!" The Prince of Dorne had asked, making everyone start thinking about it.

"Will you love and protect them? Will you raise them to know how to defend themselves and to survive in the world? If you can do any of these things, they are not bastards, they are your children!" Oberyn had followed up. It was one of the rare moments where Oberyn had actually impressed Jon, and he had taken the words to heart.

Coming back to the present, Jon still shook his head as he thought about a brothel. He could still have sex when he wanted, but he would wait a few more years until he was a bit more mature, and maybe if he was lucky, get to know whoever it was that he had decided to get with.

He wasn't sure why, but the thought of getting together with some random stranger had always made him feel sick. Whether that was due to the teachings of his father, or just how he felt in general, he didn't know, but it was how he felt and it wasn't going to change anytime soon.

For his part, Aegon also didn't want to sleep with some random woman he didn't know, but judging by some of the stories he had heard growing up, sometimes a man just needed to let loose and have some fun.

Hell, just seeing the difference with Will was proof enough that might be true. The guy was a lot more serious before he had gotten with a woman, and after he started to frequently get with a woman, his sister Aegon reminded himself, he had calmed way the fuck down.

He was still a ruthless monster who could kill thousands and not feel one bit of remorse about it, but he was still more fun to be around than before.

Anyway, the whole getting with a woman right now wasn't pressing for Aegon. It was true he did find women attractive, and he had definitely noticed a few changes about himself in recent years, but it wasn't to the point where he had to go and stick his dick in something to relieve himself.

"Let's go to the market! I'm kind of hungry too, and I don't really want to go ask Will for something." Aegon said, agreeing with Jon on where they should go.

Oberyn looked a little annoyed at not getting his way, but like Aegon said, he could go to a brothel whenever he wanted, and this trip was more for his nephew than anything else.

With that decided, Oberyn guided them to a nearby market where only the best goods were sold to the nobility, or at least those that could afford the ridiculous prices.

For almost 2 hours the small group went from stall to stall, checking out little things here and there. They looked at a weapons and armor shops, but nothing there compared to the Valyrian steel weapons they had.

At a different stall, Aegon did get a new white silk shirt for a good price, at least Oberyn said it was reasonable.

Jon was hesitant to spend so much of Will's money on a shirt, but after Aegon assured him that they could spend as much gold as they could for a week and Will wouldn't be able to tell the difference, he reluctantly bought a light blue silk shirt.

It was the softest bit of clothing he had ever felt in his life. Both boys had actually put their new shirts on so they could walk around in comfort. Really it was more of a move on Aegon's part to make them look like somebodies, and not barbarians from the North.

He knew they had to wear thick clothes in the North to stay warm, but here in the south only the small folk wore furs and hides. Well, some people did. Most of the common folk wore clothes made of regular cloth.

Other than the shirt, Oberyn bought some herbs and salves, Ellaria bought 3 dresses and some jewelry, and Drox bought some new boots and pants. The evening had certainly been fun, but now they were all headed back to the Inn to hopefully get some food before turning in for the night.

It was when they were on their way back to the Inn when they were passing by a wine stall, when a young boy that looked younger than Jon stumbled forward towards the group, spilling a cup of red wine all over Aegon's brand new silk shirt.

There was a brief moment of pause as everyone looked at the red blotch on the white shirt, but it was ruined when the boy who spilled the drink began to laugh. Aegon himself didn't think it was very funny, and based on his expression, he wanted to wring the little cunt's neck.

"You-! You little shit!! Look what you did!!" Aegon growled angrily as he reached out and grabbed the boy by the front of his shirt and lifted him a foot off the ground into the air.

Honestly he could have forgiven the stained shirt because it was just a shirt, and it hadn't been his money that bought it, but the fact the little shit was laughing about it seemed to infuriate Aegon.

Before anyone knew what was happening, a young man appeared, this one very similar in appearance to the boy Aegon was holding.

Based on appearance alone it wasn't hard to tell that they were brothers, only that the newcomer was taller and more broadly built. The older brother, most likely.

The older brother of the boy Aegon was holding was already standing with his sword drawn, ready to attack Aegon, but two spear tips aimed at his throat seemed to hold him in place.

Drox was apparently learning quite a bit from Oberyn, because just looking at the two of them, they had the same stance, same weapon, hell even their expressions were the same.

"You'd do well to drop the sword." Oberyn warned calmly, but given how the tip of his spear began to press into the older boy's neck, it was clear he would die if he didn't comply.

"PRINCE OBERYN!!" A deep voice rang out across the crowded area, silencing everyone near and drawing their attention to the altercation.

Turning his gaze to where the voice had come from, Oberyn saw a familiar figure walking towards him with 6 armored knights at his back, and what appeared to be a little girl no older than 10 standing between them all.

"Ah! Ser Willas! It has been too long!" Oberyn greeted the man he had not seen in many years, not since the tourney where Willas had been crippled in a joust against Oberyn.

Seeing as how the young lord was moving about, Oberyn could safely say that Willas was indeed no longer a cripple.

"It has truly been a long time, Prince Oberyn. Though I wish our meeting was under better circumstances. You seem to be involved in some quarrel with my little brothers." Willas spoke, telling them all just who it was that they were up against.

As if to confirm his words, Oberyn glanced back at the young man he was holding a spear to, and it was only then he noticed the sigil of House Tyrell sewn onto the tunic above the heart.

The golden rose on the field of green was quite popular here in Oldtown, but not many people could wear the sigil like he was seeing.

"It is true. The boy spilled some wine on my squire, and as you can see, things escalated." Oberyn stated, claiming Aegon as his squire instead of servant, as no one in their right mind would have believed Aegon to be a servant based on his attire alone.

Not to mention a servant would never act out the way Aegon was acting, but in the boy's defense, he had been around Will more often than not, and he just couldn't bring himself to bow at everyone around him, especially not when he was out exploring some place new.

"You have a squire? You never informed me about this in your last letter." Willas spoke up, taking a better look at Aegon, who was still holding onto Willas' little brother, only he wasn't raised into the air any longer.

As he stared at Aegon, Willas looked to the other people present, and it was when he got to the young man who was also holding the spear to his brother's throat that he saw the familiar appearance of someone he had not expected to see.

For as long as he lived, Willas would never forget the day William Castian came to Highgarden, for he had seen things that baffled the mind, and had regained the use of his leg, and it was also where he recognized the young man before him from.

'Drox' He thought, remembering the name of Castian's companion. With the addition of the information that Dorne was allied with Castian, and that the Martells themselves were closer than anyone to the elusive magician, it was understandable why Drox would be travelling with the Prince of Dorne.

"The boy has shown great talents, and I thought it would be better to have him as a squire than a cupbearer. It was a recent thing." Oberyn stated lazily, not bothering to come up with anything concrete on the spot.

This whole excuse was something he had created in the spur of the moment. He knew full well how ridiculous the story sounded, but Willas wasn't going to question him about a squire, and it's not like anyone could prove him wrong. Plus they were pretty close, so Oberyn was kind of banking on the fact that Willas would just drop it.

With things calmed down, both Oberyn and Drox removed their weapons from Garlan's throat, then everyone looked at Aegon and Loras.

"You owe me a new silk shirt!" Aegon told Loras, who still looked out of it.

"Why is he acting like that?" Willas asked Garlan, who actually laughed at the question.

"You got me drunk when I was his age." Was all Garlan said on the matter, making Willas shake his head.

"We'll talk about this later." He told his brother, then instructed the guards with him to escort Loras and the little girl, which was actually his little sister Margery, back to their great-uncle's home.

Moryn Tyrell was their father's uncle, and the current Lord Commander of the city watch of Oldtown, so it was only natural that they would be staying with him instead of some Inn.

As soon as Loras and Margery were gone, Willas turned his attention to Aegon before saying, "I apologize for my brother. As you've seen, he clearly wasn't in his right mind. Please allow me to make it up to you by getting you a new shirt."

The man was so kind and respectful Aegon was a little taken aback, but he wasn't about to hold a grudge over a shirt, and he could see how it happened after finding out how intoxicated Loras actually was.

'Note to self, don't get so drunk I become an idiot!' Aegon thought, hopefully learning a lesson from this. He was older than Loras by a few years, and even now he had only been able to drink a cup of wine with dinner so he had never actually been drunk yet.

Will told him it was best to wait until he was at least 16 name days old before he actually started drinking wine, and that if he overdid it then he would turn out like Robert Baratheon.

The rumors about the fat drunk that was the king were not pleasant, and Aegon had vowed right then and there to never become like Robert Baratheon.

With the offer made, Aegon accepted before the group set off to buy a new shirt. This one however was more of a light shade of red than the white one that had been stained, and it was quite a bit fancier too. Willas had not spared any expense on it, much to Aegon's appreciation.

"My grandmother would like to talk with you." Willas told Oberyn after they had purchased the new shirt for Aegon.

"Really? The last time I saw her, she said she was going to have me drawn and quartered if I ever stepped foot in Highgarden." Oberyn said, thinking back to his last encounter with the Queen of Thorns.

Chuckling at the statement, Willas spoke, "Words said in anger at the time of my injury, I assure you. Please don't think she was serious. She actually did say she wanted to meet with you, only she had hoped it would still be a few years from now."

Olenna wasn't one for making amends with someone she didn't like, and despite the bad blood being fixed between their two houses, she still really didn't like Oberyn.

She had actually told Willas that she did want to meet Oberyn, only rather than anytime soon, she wanted to speak with him on his deathbed right before he died. He of course wasn't going to tell Oberyn that, but they were close enough that he could joke about his nicer version of it.

"When was she wanting to meet?" Oberyn asked, not against meeting Olenna, though he too didn't sound all that excited about it.

"How about mid-day tomorrow? We could have lunch." Willas suggested good naturedly, to which Oberyn agreed.

Willas even invited Ellaria, and Oberyn's children along, though Aegon, Drox, and Jon were all thinking he would come to regret inviting Oberyn's eldest children.

The Sand Snakes weren't known to be courteous or respectful by any means, and were well known to cause more problems than they should.

'I'll have to decline on going.' Aegon thought, already thinking up an excuse to get out of going with Oberyn tomorrow. Not that he was invited, but a squire usually went with the knight they were serving under, not that he was actually a squire to begin with.

Still, he was smart enough to realize that Oberyn had created the cover in the spur of the moment, and knew to keep his mouth shut for the time being.

Aegon didn't know it yet, but Jon was thinking something similar, and had already decided to invite Daenerys out for a walk tomorrow so he would have a convenient excuse to not go if he was invited.

Unlike the two brothers, Drox was actually hoping to tag along to the meeting, mostly so he could watch the drama unfold.

Travelling around with Will had caused him to experience more chaos and excitement than any normal person should experience, and lately he found that it was quite a bit harder to find that rush of excitement.

With the meeting with Oberyn and Olenna on the table, it promised to be dramatic, and Drox couldn't wait to see what happened.

---------

(Willas Tyrell POV)

After setting up the lunch for the following day with Oberyn, the two groups said their farewells and departed back to their respective residents for the evening.

It was only after they had been walking for a few minutes that Willas breathed a bit easier than he had before, having done his best to fix what could have been a very bad situation.

Thinking just how bad the situation actually was, Willas abruptly halted in the middle of the street, turned quickly to Garlan who also stopped beside him, then cuffed his younger brother upside the head.

"What were you thinking?!" Willas shouted angrily in a whisper so as not to cause a scene, startling Garlan, who actually didn't quite understand why his brother suddenly hit him.

"About what?!" Garlan cried out, more in confusion than anything else.

"Taking Loras to a tavern to get him drunk! When I did it to you, we were at home to avoid anyone seeing you do anything foolish that might embarrass our family! You didn't even think about what could have happened with your actions tonight!" Willas informed him, visibly making Garlan's facial expression turn awkward.

It was true, he hadn't actually thought about what might actually happen other than the fact that it would be hilarious to see Loras drunk.

"My apologies brother." Garlan said slowly after a moment of silence. Seeing how Garlan was acting apologetic, the anger left Willas and he let out a long drawn out sigh before he turned and continued walking through the streets.

Silence reigned supreme for a good minute as the two brothers walked along the road with two guards trailing at their back, no one uttering a word. The silence ended however when a low chuckle was heard from Willas, which soon turned into full blown laughter.

When he finally managed to catch his breath he spoke, "How do you think Loras is going to feel in the morning?"

The question seemed to pause Garlan's train of thought, before he realized what his brother was doing and he too began to laugh.

"Given how he almost finished off a full bottle by himself, I don't don't imagine he'll ever drink again!" Garlan stated, causing Willas to laugh even harder than before.

The whole way back home they laughed and joked about their own experiences with wine, and how their younger brother was going to regret ever touching the stuff.

'That's more like it.' Willas thought as saw how Garlan was smiling and laughing. Before, when he had seen the downcast look on Garlan's face, it hurt him.

He loved his brother and the rest of his family more than anyone would ever know, and he would do his best to make sure they smiled as much as they could.

Even when they were children, Garlan was a rather plump boy, and knowing the cruelty of most nobles, Willas, shrewdly dubbed him the Gallant to save him from the indignity that befell an uncle, nicknamed Garth the Gross.

Garlan never knew why Willas had dubbed him as such, but it was a wonderful name, which Garlan did eventually grow into. Willas would always do everything in his power to help his family, even if he had to go up against William Castian.

Willas didn't know the exact details about everything, but if someone Castian trusted enough to guard his back was here protecting Oberyn, it was best not let things escalate.

Having had enough excitement for one night, Willas went straight to his room to relax for the night, but when he opened the door, he realized he wouldn't be going to sleep anytime soon.

"Hello, grandmother. Sister." Willas greeted two of the three most important women in his life. It would have been all three if his mother was here, but given his grandmother's obvious dislike for her, it was understandable why she wasn't present.

Knowing how Margery would most likely have told his grandmother everything she had seen tonight before she was taken home, Willas didn't bother asking why they were in his room. He was smarter than that.

"What happened at the tavern?" Olenna asked, not bothering with any pleasantries, which wasn't completely out of character for the old woman, though it was odd when she did it to him.

"Nothing serious, grandmother. Garlan just thought it would be funny to get Loras drunk, and they caused a small scene. Nothing I couldn't handle." Willas assured her, but inside he was wondering why she was so serious.

"And what of William Castian's involvement?" Olenna asked, causing Willas' eyes to widen before they moved to look at Margery.

Seeing her look away from him, he knew she had obviously recognized the young man, even after all of these years and reported it to their grandmother.

Sighing for what felt like the thousandth time tonight, Willas answered, "Castian wasn't there, it was just his friend, Drox. He's Oberyn's bodyguard. He stepped in when Garlan drew his sword against- …" His words got stuck in his throat as something clicked in his mind.

'That's not right...' Willas thought, suddenly freezing up. He had been close by when the incident happened, and his attention had been drawn when the first boy grabbed hold of Loras, so he had seen Garlan's and Oberyn's confrontation.

Both Oberyn and Drox stepped in when the boy holding Loras was threatened, which would mean he was the one being protected.

It could have just been Willas overthinking it, and that Oberyn was just overprotective of his squire, but he didn't actually believe that the boy was actually Oberyn's squire in the first place.

"What is it?" Olenna asked softer than before, curious as to why Willas suddenly stopped talking.

She could see he had stumbled onto something and was in deep thought, which made her more proud than the boy could ever know. It proved she was right about him, and that he actually had a brain, but she was curious what he realized.

Margery was also looking intently at Willas, as she hadn't seen anything out of the ordinary other than the young man who she had seen a few years ago.

Like her brother, the memory of that day had been ingrained in her mind, and she would never forget it for as long as she lived, so it wasn't that hard to recognize him.

"The squire- the boy." Willas corrected himself. "They were protecting the boy." He answered softly, still trying to piece things together.

He didn't want to reveal that Oberyn's squire wasn't actually a squire, but he knew that his grandmother would need to know so she could prevent anything bad from happening.

Even when the altercation first occurred, Willas was already thinking about the reactions of his family, and he knew his father wouldn't stand for his own son being treated like that.

It was actually one of the reasons he invited them to lunch the following day, as he hoped he could prevent anything too serious from happening, but there was really only one person who could truly stop the Warden of the South from doing anything he didn't want to, and that was his grandmother.

"Castian's friend only stepped in when the boy was being threatened... and he certainly didn't act like a squire." Willas added, before he began to explain everything that had happened tonight down to the smallest detail that he could remember.

When he was finished, Olenna began to think everything over, and she too could see that there was more here than meets the eye.

"It was good that you invited them to lunch, even if that damned prince will be there. Don't worry about your father, you leave him to me. I'll talk with him before he does anything foolish. Both of you be sure to pay close attention to every detail tomorrow. The most subtle action could be the most important move on the board." Olenna said, referencing her favorite pastime game which had been a gift from the very man she was interested in at the moment.

Olenna soon left the room to retire for the night, but Margery decided to hang back to speak with her brother further.

"You're not upset with me, right brother?" She asked meekly with big watery eyes.

Had Willas not known any better, he would have thought the little girl before him was a sad, defenseless little girl, but he knew the truth.

"I'm not, so would you please stop that." He said as he leaned his head back and began to massage his temples.

At his words, the sad expression disappeared, replaced by a genuine smile. This was his real sister, not the ditzy or scared little girl that most people believed her to be.

She was so much smarter than anyone knew, and her acting lessons were on par with professional performers. Better than most even.

"I really am sorry for going behind your back, brother, but I just had to tell grandmother as soon as I realized who he was." Margery said far more chipper than before as she began to set up a wooden chess board that Willas had made in Highgarden years ago.

He had it made so he could bring it with him when they travelled, while still keeping the fancier marble one he also had made based on his grandmother's board could stay back in his room in Highgarden.

"I know. You did very well. Just please think about me before you tell anyone anything." Willas said, not holding anything that happened tonight against his sister.

It wasn't until almost an hour later when they finished their game that he hugged his sister goodnight before she left the room. The game had done wonders to clear his head and calmed him down greatly.

Now that he was finally alone, Willas cleaned himself up before crawling into bed, falling asleep almost immediately.

He had been so tired and concerned about everything that happened tonight, that he hadn't even once noticed the dark eagle perched on the ledge just outside the window, that had been there since he first walked into the room.

It was only when his head hit his pillow that the light in the bird's eyes disappeared before it flew off.

----------

(Drox POV)

As soon as the young Lord of the Reach had gone to sleep, Drox canceled his magic from Ace and returned back to his body.

After the whole situation near the wine stall, the group had quickly returned to the Inn without further incident, but rather than call it a night like the others, Drox used his Warging magic to see if there was any trouble for them.

It was basically his job anyway. Ever since Will, Rhaenys, Aegon, and Daenerys had gone on the trip to Valyria and he had found the spies in Sunspear, he had become a sort of spymaster for the Martells.

He was like their eye in the sky, or shadow in the darkness when he moved around with Shade. Ever since he became the spymaster he had never let anyone get close to them, and in his free time he liked to go and observe those he deemed a possible threat.

The Tyrells were without question a threat to Dorne, but with Will here, they were a minor nuisance. When he flew out it had only taken a few minutes to find the two young Tyrell Lords, and a few more minutes to get into a position where he could listen to them.

By the time he got to them they were laughing about something, but he had no idea what they thought was so funny.

When they got to their estate, Drox had to fly around to more than a few windows before he finally found the oldest Tyrell again, and he wasn't alone.

Will had told him in the past that the old woman was the not-so-secret ruler of the Reach, so seeing her with his target had really gotten his attention.

Perching on the ledge of the window, Drox listened closely to their conversations. He was a little surprised that the little girl had remembered him from when he went to Highgarden with Will, but then again that was probably their first and only time seeing Will do something earth shattering.

Drox had been so used to it by that point that it was almost nothing to him. Hell, he had fought undead at that point in his life and watched scores of Dothraki become pincushions.

The castle opening up was nothing compared to the water demon that still gave him nightmares. Needless to say, not much could really shock him these days. Especially not since he literally just watched Will reshape the Iron Islands in no time at all.

Thinking about the Tyrells, Drox knew the two younger ones looked familiar when they first encountered them, but he hadn't remembered where he had seen them before.

He knew he should start memorizing the appearances of some of the powerful and influential individuals he encountered, but up until a few years ago it had never mattered.

The only reason he hadn't already was because, compared to Will or his own group everyone else just seemed trivial.

Oberyn was one of the most powerful Nobles in the world, Aegon and Rhaenys were Targaryen royalty that everyone thought were dead, Daenerys was royalty that everyone thought was across the Narrow Sea, and Jon was royalty that no one but his father knew existed.

Then there was Elia. She was basically the mother to all of the Targaryens, had Dorne at her beck and call, and had the most powerful man in the world as a son-in-law. Drox pitied the poor fool who tried to mess with her.

Honestly, the stuff Drox knew already would shock most of the world, which was why very few things excited him these days. Well, that was a lie. Ellaria and Oberyn knew just how to excite him.

As he listened to them talk, Drox realized they had figured out that Aegon was more than he seemed, and from their words, knew that they would be keeping an eye on him.

'They're probably going to have some spies watch over us now.' He thought, realizing that he would need to be on guard a bit more while they were here.

Not that he would ever say it aloud, but he actually enjoyed spying around in the shadows like this, so he was kind of happy in a way that more people would come to look at them.

He was only excited and confident because he knew he had the strongest backing. Anyone else and they might be screwed. Who would have thought that a little boy from the slums in Pentos would become such a powerful man, and that wasn't even mentioning his own magic.

Anyway, as soon as he got back in his own body, Drox just lay there in his bed staring up at the ceiling. He wanted to go straight to Will and tell him about everything, but he knew he was too busy with Rhaenys.

The girl hadn't been sleeping too well the last couple of days, and despite Will's efforts, she hadn't been getting better. No, it was best to wait until morning before informing Will about it.

Besides, there was no immediate threat from the Tyrells, so it was fine.

He was about to go to find Oberyn and tell him about what he learned, when the door suddenly opened and a naked Ellaria walked into the room, followed by the very man he had been thinking about, and he too was naked.

If it was just them then he would have told them about the Tyrells, but trailing Oberyn were 3 very attractive, and naked women.

'It can wait until morning!' He thought as he quickly began to take off his clothes.
