Theory

"You've already been introduced to one of our first-year teachers, Mr. Kenji. Now let the others introduce themselves. " The headmistress would say and the big bearded man would step forward.

"My name is Satoru Kobayashi and I will be the teacher of the forge course, I hope we can be friends" He said, some students with suitcases looked at him, the blond man took a step forward then.

"Alright it's my turn! My name is Ichiro Saito and I will be the combat teacher in one of the classes, don't expect me to be easy, your children! " He would say in a confident and excited tone, Satoru gave a tired sigh, the girl in a kimono took a step forward.

"No more drama, you freak! Anyway, my name is Naomi Yamazaki and I will be an assistant teacher of the combat course. If you have any problems, especially with this weirdo, you can talk to me! " The girl said in a happy tone as Ichiro glared at her, the lady in a nurse's uniform stepped forward.

"I am Professor Soo-Min and I will be a professor of the nursing course, it will be a pleasure to teach you." She would say with a smile on her face, the headmistress took a few steps forward.

"And I'm Aya Murakami the principal of the school. Now that the introductions have been made, it's time to divide them into classes, all of you have received identification cards, they are in them as your classes. " The headmistress said while gesturing with her hand.

"The students from the A course of combat will go with Professor Saito and the ones from the B course will go with Professor Matsumoto. The rest can go with their respective teachers. The principal said with a smile and one of the students raised her hand, she had short hair and was wearing sunglasses.

"But what if we can't see our courses?" She asked and some students were looking at her.

"Don't worry Miss Daiyu, you are from class B, Professor Matsumoto will guide you, now let's go to the classrooms to start our classes." The teacher said looking at the girl, the teachers came down from the arena and walked to their classrooms, a few minutes passed and everyone arrived in the classrooms. Students from course B entered the room where there were several tables with a large one in front of the blackboard, an ordinary classroom.

"Alright everyone pick your seats please, I'm going to go out for a few minutes to pick up our stuff for today, use this time to get ready and get to know each other." Professor Matsumoto said as he left the room, a few seconds of silence followed him until some whispers turned into noisy conversations. Saran puts her backpack on the table and stares around until she's startled by a tap on her back, she looks back.

" Hello?" She says looking back, behind her was sitting the girl with dark glasses.

"Oh there really is someone there…hi…" She says a little shyly. "Hey, what's your name?"

"My name is Saran, and yours?" Saran asks the girl with a slight smile.

"My name is Daiyu, Lin Daiyu, it's a pleasure to meet you Saran." The girl says in a cute tone, Saran is happy seeing the girl.

"It's my pleasure, I couldn't help but notice, but your name is a little different, right?" Saran said uncomfortably. "Well mine is too, who am I to judge right?" She says this and they both laugh.

"Well, it's because I'm not from here, I'm a transfer student from China." Lin says and Saran's face was covered in surprise.

" From China? Wow, that's great." Saran says with a smile.

"And you? Your name doesn't sound Japanese to me." Lin would say looking forward.

"Well, my name is kind of complicated, it's Mongolian, my father said it was the same name as my grandmother, it's Sarangerel, Sarangerel Rapa." She would say and Lin would put her hand on her chin.

"Hmm now that you say it, I think I've heard about a Mongolian fighter named Sarangerel." Lin would say and Saran's face filled with excitement.

"My father said that my grandmother was very strong, that she was the strongest in the world, I don't really believe it but seeing my father it seems true." Saran says.

"Hm so your father is a fighter, he must be pretty strong, have you ever seen him fighting?" Lin would say looking forward.

"Well, I never saw my dad fighting for real, he just fought me playfully while teaching me how to fight, but my mom said that when my dad fights, it's like a volcano about to explode." Saran says looking at Lin.

"Hm how cool, but I thought it was cute that he put the same name as his mother on you." Lin with a smile. "But tell me what it's like in Mongolia?"

"I don't know, I've never been there." Saran says and Lin gets a surprised face.

" Never was? But isn't your name Mongolian?" Lin would say unconvinced.

"Well my name is and so is my dad, but I was born here, actually I'm from Osaka, we moved recently so I can get into school. My dad said he's taking me to Mongolia one day when I'm going to 'mature'." Saran said looking at Lin.

"Oh I see, but what about your grandmother, what did you think of her name being on her granddaughter?" Lin asked with a sarcastic tone.

"I don't know, she died before I was born. My dad said that naming deceased family members makes them reincarnate in a new body, I don't believe that, but he always says these religious things and stuff." Saran says looking at Lin who smiled again.

"I still think it's cute that you have the same name as your grandmother."

Lin would say looking forward.

"Hey Lin, can I ask you something?" Saran would say curious.

" Clear." Lin would say with a smile.

"Not to be rude, but do you wear these sunglasses?" Saran asked.

"Hm I thought you'd ask that sometime, I use it because I'm blind." Lin said smiling, she takes off her sunglasses and shows her clear, bright eyes.

" Wow, wait. If you're blind, what are you doing on the combat course?!" Saran asked unreconciledly while Lin laughed.

"Hehe, I'm here to fight, of course." She says laughing lightly.

"But how are you going to fight if you don't see?!" Saran was still unhappy with the answer. "Oh you can see a little right?

"No, I was born completely blind." Lin said and Saran continued to look doubtful.

" But how?" Saran gave up on understanding what was going on.

"Look, I may have been born completely blind, but I can see more than a normal person." Lin would say pointing his finger at Saran. "But that's my little secret, and there are also some things I can't do, like read..."

" WHY ARE YOU HERE?!" A loud scream interrupted the conversation, Saran looks to the back of the room scared, the same girl from before, with white hair was standing screaming at one of the sitting students.

" Why are you here?! Why is a loser like you here?!" She was screaming angrily, the other students looking scared, the boy sitting looking at her with a smug face.

"What's up dear, aren't you happy seeing your class friend?" The boy would say looking at her, he seemed relaxed even with the screams on his side.

" Why are you here Tanaka?! You were always a clown at school, why are you in a place like this?!" She screamed nonstop with fire in her eyes.

"Hey, because I fight right?" He would say relaxed, his tone of voice made the girl angrier.

" Fight?! Fight what?!" She asks crossing her arms.

"Kendo, can't you see my sword?" He said picking up a sheathed katana.

"Hmf let's see this Kendo!" The girl said annoyed.

"Hm, what was it Harumi, do you want to fight me?" He said smug. "I'm not going to make it easy just because you're a girl, got it?"

"When did I say you could call me by my first name you idiot?! Let's see who will make it easy for whom!" She would say sawing her fist. Something strange was happening, as if a white mist was covering the girl's body.

"So will it be like this?" Tanaka said looking at the girl, the same mist covered his body, some students looked worried.

"That's enough, you two." Professor Matsumoto would say opening the door, the girl would sit at one of the tables almost instantly.

"I'm sorry for this idiot's lack of education, I hope you understand that he has mental disorders." The girl would say formally as she straightened her posture.

"I don't care, you guys have a lot of energy, that's good. But I'm going to ask you to save that energy for the fights to come." The teacher said placing a small wooden box next to some books on the table in front of the blackboard, then he placed a huge concrete brick.

"Okay, I'm going to introduce how our classes will be, I hope you pay attention because I'm going to teach the structure of the academy." The teacher says and some students took their notebooks and pens.

"Okay, we will have three types of classes: theoretical classes, practical classes and simulation classes. We will teach the theory of Chi domination techniques and in practice we will test them, the simulations will be short fights between you, we will have few theoretical classes and more simulations and practical classes. Do you understand?" The teacher explained while drawing on the blackboard with a piece of chalk. The white-haired girl raised her hand as soon as the explanation was over.

"Mr Matsumoto, in the simulations will we use weapons or not?" She asked and the teacher answered.

"That's up to you." He says and goes back to writing on the board, Saran raises her hand.

"Teacher, when can we fight?" Saran asked and the teacher gave a slight smile.

"I'll get to this part soon." Matsumoto says finishing writing on the board, he then turns and faces the room. "Okay, I'll ask you to pay close attention now." He would say pointing to the board.

"Now I'm going to explain how the duels will work, you can write it down if you want, okay. There are five ranks in our school: Dragon, Demon, Tiger, Bear and Wolf. These five ranks are differentiated through points, there are 100,000 points in total, each rank has a difference of 20,000 points, you as newbies start in the wolf rank with 10,000 points." Matsumoto explained while pointing to the board, some students took notes while others paid attention.

"You automatically get 1,000 points per victory, but if you want you can bet more points with no limit, remembering that you can only bet the points you have, once you get the points to move up the rank, you need to win two fights in a row without betting points, that way you will pass the rank." The teacher explained.

"High ranked students cannot challenge lower ranked students and lower ranked students can challenge students with only one rank higher than theirs, high ranked students can accept challenges from lower ranked students if the second possibility happens, remember that any kind of fighting outside the arena is strictly prohibited. Duels are scheduled at the 'Duel Center', it's in the cafeteria, you'll know as soon as you come, to schedule a duel you just go there and say your rank and date, the points you're betting on and that's it, the girls at the center will go and find an opponent, then you can fight." The teacher would say and the white-haired girl would raise her hand once more.

"Professor, do we have to report the weapon we are using?" Harumi asked and the teacher looked at her.

"No, well, just if you want to, but no one wants to lose the element of surprise, am I right?" He would say in a sarcastic tone, Professor Matsumoto took a deep breath. "I wouldn't want to say this, but the school makes me anyway. If you find two boys together, a fat boy wearing a chonmage and a skinny one smoking a cigarette, avoid them anyway." He would say and the students looked at each other with expressions of doubt.

"Wait, is smoking allowed at school?" Tanaka asked unrepentantly.

"It's not, but he does it anyway and we can't kick him out, so going back to the explanation. Our course lasts for three years and your grades will be based on your performance in practical classes and duels, so make an effort, but calmly." He would say and open a huge smile. "Now enough explanations about school, let's talk about chi!" The teacher would say and the students' faces filled with enthusiasm.

Matsumoto went back to writing on the blackboard drawing several circles and words, he finished and turned around again.

"I'm going to explain some basic chi fundamentals, some of you already know what I'm going to say but it's good to remember. Very well, let's start from the beginning." The teacher would say and something happened, the same white mist that covered Tanaka's body and Harumi appeared around him, it seemed stronger emitting a little light. "As you can see, this is a Chi mantle, when it's being used neutrally it turns white, but any stimulus can change." He would say and the white mist turned blue, a light blue the same color as the sky,

"My chi is blue, Chi is divided into five basic colors, these colors are related to elements and feelings, much of the explanation about chi has philosophical factors so make an effort to understand." He explained and some students looked on in awe, Lin raised his hand. " Yes?"

"Professor, one question, is it possible to fight using only basic chi?" She asked and the teacher smiled.

"It was a good question Miss Daiyu, yes, it is possible to fight using only white chi, but it is something that requires a lot of mental and emotional mastery, there are some artifacts that help control the chi but the real mastery of basic chi in a fight it's something only true masters can do." The professor would say and the blue mist began to move, it got stronger and agitated, resembling a flame without heat.

"Going back to colors, chi is divided into five colors: blue, red, yellow, green and purple. Each color represents an element and feeling, with blue representing trust and water, red representing fire and anger, yellow representing lightning and happiness, green representing nature and empathy, and finally purple representing earth and sadness. ." The teacher explained and Harumi raised his hand.

" Yes?" he asked.

"Teacher, you forgot a color." She says and the teacher looks at her.

"Did I forget?" He says in doubt.

"You forgot the black chi." Harumi says and some students look at her.

"Black Chi?" Saran asked.

"Ah, the black chi...okay, I don't see any reason to hide this information, it might even save their lives someday." The teacher took a deep breath. "Black chi as its name says has the color black, is a type of chi linked to shadows and fear, users of this type of chi are evil people, crazy people who look for murder and death, if they find a person who has a black chi, avoid anyway!"

"Could you give an example, like Jiang-Li?" Daiyu would say raising his hand.

"Jiang-Li?" Saran asked.

"Don't you know Jiang-Li?!" Harumi shouted indignantly. "What do you mean you don't know? The rose of death, the assassin of masters, the most dangerous woman in asia, how come you don't know?!"

"Hey, no screaming please. You, what's your name?" The teacher said pointing to Saran.

"S-Saran, sir." She would say a little embarrassed.

"Saran, don't worry, there's a reason you don't know Jiang-Li, it's because a lot of fighters try to forget about her. 40 years ago she was the biggest and most dangerous black chi user in Asia, probably in history, she was a Buddhist nun in the Shaolin temple in China, but for some reason she went crazy and murdered all the monks in the monastery, so she went on a journey of massacre across Asia, more than 200 people are said to have died at her hands, few have survived and even fewer have survived unharmed, then said she disappeared somewhere in northern China." The teacher would say in a despondent tone.

"And do you know where she is now?" Saran asked.

"She died, 20 years ago she entered the Gang quan bisai tournament somehow without anyone noticing. In the semifinals she revealed her identity fighting one of my friends who was on the team, if he was a little weaker he would have died, it wasn't an easy fight but he managed to survive without any permanent damage, shortly after she was chased by some masters who managed to kill her, one of those masters was professor San-Te, one of the founders of this school we are in now, he fought with her in the finals representing china but was defeated, when they went after her San-Te gave his life to that they could kill her." The teacher said looking at his palm. "I was fifteen in the tournament, if my friend hadn't slapped me on the head and ran to the arena, I would have probably died."

"But luckily this friend of mine recovered from the fight, and today he's one of the strongest guys I know, unfortunately he doesn't fight for Japan anymore but he's still active, he was the winner of the last Gang quan bisai tournament in Seoul." Matsumoto would say excited.

"Professor, what is the name of this friend of yours?" Daiyu asked, the teacher opened a smile.

"His name you ask? It's Naidan, Naidan Rapa."
