He Understood Her

The three of them headed out to dinner in a private booth of a fancy restaurant and when they were done eating they broke out the small cake, which was more like a top tier on a regular multitier cake than anything.

Molly could hardly focus on what was being said the whole time because she was in such a blissful daze. She was Evan's wife. She had a family again—one that actually loved her and cared about her feelings. That meant more to her than she could put into words.

"So where are you guys going on your honeymoon?" Vanya asked.

That odd comment finally snapped her out of it a little. "Vanya, I told you that weeks ago. Remember?"

Something Molly couldn't place momentarily flashed across her face before she recovered. "Oh, right! I completely forgot. How dumb of me."
