Isn't That Really Dangerous?

When the first phone call asking for him came, Jasper quickly rejected it and turned his phone on silent and checked to see that April was still asleep. The movie had been over for a while but she was dead to the world.

He texted his underling who called him and told him to either handle whatever it was himself or get help over text. And that the next person who called him was going to get punched in the gut.

They must have spread the word because for the next three hours everything people wanted from him came in over text. They all must have guessed he was busy but none of them would know what with. Michael was the only one who knew about April and, thus far, it seemed like he had kept his mouth shut about her.

Good. They didn't deserve to know about her.

Jasper needed to keep her safe. That meant keeping her out of his world. She had a vague idea of what he got up to but she did not need any details. She was too afraid of him already.
