No Other Option

Sadie did her best to try and push the thoughts and feelings that conversation brought on aside for the next week and carry on as usual. She hung out with the kids and took them out to do things nearly every day and continued to only see her husband in snatches.

This was her new normal. Which would shift again once school started in the fall.

She was looking forward to it and worried about it at the same time. She was used to being overworked but she had never had to deal with homework while kids were vying for her attention before. She didn't want to let them down.

They would have homework too but it wouldn't take nearly as long for them to do since they would have so much less and it would be easier. She had purposely scheduled all of her classes for the morning so she could try and get as much of her work done as possible while they were still at school to avoid this problem but it wouldn't always be possible.
