Plans for Potions

A couple of years have passed, and now Kara has become eight years of age; her family is currently having breakfast.

"Laura, do you mind waking Kara up? I always fail when doing it," Thomas asked his wife, yes, wife. The two have gotten married over the years.

Thomas had to ask his wife to wake Kara up since he always falls for Kara's pleading eyes for extra minutes of sleep.

Technically, Kara doesn't feel tired; she just loves the feeling of sleep.

She can instantly sleep with the help of spells, meaning she doesn't suffer from tossing around in bed for hours on end.

Laura nodded; she knew Thomas spoils their daughters and is his weak spot.

Thomas also couldn't ask Aela since Kara would cuddle with Aela, and they both would end up asleep.

When Laura entered Kara's room, she found her daughter with a massive book on her face.

If she looked closely, she'd be able to see glistening drool threatening to fall from the slits of her mouth.

"Kara, time to wake up~," Laura said as she tapped the sleeping beauty up.

"Mmm, 5-minutes more," Kara negotiated, but sadly she was up against her Mama, not the Papa.

"Non-negotiable, little missy. How will your sister look up to you?" Laura used the little sister card, effective?

"Fine...but can you carry me down?" Effective, indeed.

Laura said nothing more but picked Kara up with a smile; she likes it whenever Kara acts her age.

Kara may mentally be older, but she wants to experience everything that she did not experience before. A family.

Meaning Kara embraced the role of a child whenever it was an advantage. Simply put, she lives in the present to the fullest.

During the hearty breakfast, Kara had just remembered stumbling upon a book from the thousands. It focused on potions.

Most of its content showed how to create potions, but the ingredients used are from different worlds.

However, there were few options where the blood of monsters was the main ingredient.

The process needs correct usage in runes to clean the monster's blood, inject it with magical energy, and finally add pure water.

There's a catch; the catch was for the monster to have magical properties within its blood.

Orc's tendency to rage. A Berserk Potion.

Hydra's ability to regenerate. A Healing Potion.

Animals with tough skin. A Defensive buff Potion.

A Mana Potion needs the infusion of Magical energy into pure water for long periods.

So on, so forth.

And this is what Kara was planning to do, "Papa, do you think you can get me a monster that has regenerative powers?"

Laura and Thomas's interest were piqued "Why would you need one for? I think a cat is safer."

Aela, who was quietly eating her hash and eggs, perked up, "Cat! Are we going to get a cat, Baba?"

"Papa, don't jump to conclusions! I was planning to make potions with monster blood. I'm 100% sure that it will be a success, maybe," Kara explained with an innocent smile.

"Aela, we will not get a cat; normal cats are a hassle. Wait for me, and I will get you a better one~!" Kara said with a massive toothy smile and thumbs upped at Aela.

"Really!? Sister, I love you so much!" Aela, who heard her big sister's words, bolted towards Kara and gave a tight hug.

Laura, at the moment, is glaring at Thomas for even bringing up the word 'cat'. Thomas could only look away innocently.

"Dear, you have been only reading books so far. What made you decide to create something? And a potion too." Laura asked with curiosity.

It is common knowledge that potions are a myth, a hoax; they became a lie with all the scams that happened when people awakened.

Thus, a healer gets sought after in every guild or a raiding party that does not form guilds.

"Mama, those magical books that I read are useful. They teach the creation of spells, the biology of monsters, and the potion that I have said now.

And in the book I read showed how a Healing Potion gets created with the blood of monsters that have extreme properties." Kara explained.

Thomas, who has been attentively listening, was quite astonished. 'If people found out that those books contained actual knowledge, they would go wild.'

But there was a sudden pause when he thought about it more, "Kara, isn't the language of those books different?"

It was also one of the main reasons why Hunters viewed those books as unhelpful. They were in a variety of unique languages.

"Oh, that? I used an [Auto-Translation Spell] onto my eyes, wonderfully convenient!" Kara said while casually eating as she swayed her legs.

Not all books get treated as useless. There were only tens of books that contained a human language, and even that was mainly old English.

Yet again, they were stunned at how versatile their daughter's powers were.

"Don't worry, Kara. I will contact the auction houses to keep watch of what you need." Thomas said and received a kiss on the cheeks from Kara.

Moments like these are what he is thankful for, reasons to look forward to, and watch how they grow.

Kara wanted a live monster but remembered she can revive its physical body. Emphasis on PHYSICAL, the soul, not included...maybe in the DLC.

If one had good eyes, they could spot Kara flying with her angel-like wings with Aela.

Kara wanted to fulfill her promise to Aela; she didn't want to renege on her words.

Once the duo landed on a forest clearing, Kara went to work by manipulating her mana into thin lines and eventually formed a magic circle with various symbols.

After double-checking that everything was correct, Kara began pumping more mana into it to activate.

*Woosh~!*

Soon, a door-sized dungeon gate appeared, but it had a golden color, following Kara's mana color.

*Thud*

*Thud*

What walked out of the gate was a white tiger with black stripes.

Adorning on its head were two curved horns, wings that had the power to take it anywhere, legs that represented power, and a tail that resembled that of a dragon with feathers.

Before Aela could run and hug it to death, Kara spoke.

"Do you understand the contract that has summoned you?" Kara sternly asked while releasing her magical pressure on the beast.

The beast nodded; the contract was him serving Aela as his Master and would protect her with his life.

The exchange was mana stones for food and to be well treated.

It was a deal that heavily lines towards the summoner, but this isn't the case in most historical cases.

In the books, at least.

In most cases, the contract is in equal standing, but the caster must be of equal strength as the summoned beast.

When the caster does not prove their strength, the summoned beast would usually reject the contract and unsummoned themselves.

However, there are rare cases when the summon is too strong and goes on a rampage to be set free within the world; those are usually dragons.

"Aela, you can name your pet now," Kara said and gestured for Aela to get closer.

Aela didn't hold back and immediately charged at the beast, "*Giggle* You're so fluffy! Big Sis, I'll call him Fluffy!"

When the Tiger beast heard its name, there was a powerful sign of being stunned mentally.

And as she named the beast, Fluffy. A golden light shone upon the two, probably showing the established bond.

Kara couldn't help but pity the poor tiger; the mighty beast has fallen into the ranks of fluff.

'I'll summon my summoned beast next time. I'd probably have to fight it to show that I'm worthy of being its Master.' Kara thought.

Kara had plans to tame Kamish, but the said plan would be such a political hassle that it's best not to.

The simple fact you could tame an S-Rank Boss Monster, people will start raining responsibilities on you.

And there's another thing; humans are afraid of what they can't control.

Humans are made that way.

In the original, Thomas Andre and Christopher Reed were holding the balance amongst each other in the U.S.A.

But with my appearance, my family immediately barrels straight up to the top of the power and political ladder.

And my future guild location will be where Kamish would wreak havoc, cheap land to buy.

"Oh well, let's sell my potions first~"
