The Reveal

AN: I may have named the magic association Sanctum before, but I edited that chapter. In that chapter, all it says now is magical organization. The naming will be here.

_______________

After a few months had passed, everything within the floating islands had eased and prepared itself. The preparation is its grand revelation to the world.

Avant Heim, the name of the collective islands, is what Kara named it. The World Trees' appearance influenced Kara's decision in the end.

Some residents raised issues regarding opening its doors to humans since they were victims of human atrocities, after all. But it was all assured by Kara.

Kara assured them that no one could enter Avant Heim with malicious intentions; even spies would not be allowed. Only those who have the purpose of studying and touring the place can enter.

How will Kara assure this? She will ensure this by constructing teleportation platforms around the world. And those platforms will read and sense their intention, simple as that.

Anyway, as of this moment, Kara is at a press conference with Aerys. With Kara's show of power from dealing with Kamish, people already knew to respect Kara—even if she's officially young.

However, since Kara changed her appearance, barely anyone recognized her. Some even speculated that she was Kara's older sister.

Not wanting to waste any more time away from reading books, she tapped the many mics in front of her, garnering the attention of the press.

*Tap*

*Tap*

"Let's get this show on the road. We all have lives to return to, except for the paparazzi; they suck the life out of people," Kara joked, which wasn't taken lightly by those under said profession, but the others giggled.

It wasn't a secret that they looked the paparazzi upon a poor light; it's just their profession's nature. To be the best paparazzi, who know how much stalking you have to do.

Anyway, Kara went direct to the topic, as usual. "I have finished creating the magical organization that I have said previously. By the way, I am Kara White. I only altered my appearance."

There wasn't much excitement within her tone; it was lackluster even for such news. First things first, the organization came true. Second, her appearance got altered.

And unlike the usual messy press, the ones present weren't rowdy. They must've already learned their lesson since Kara totally ignores them when they turn barbaric.

Normal celebrities would ordinarily buckle under the pressure of the press, but if you're a Hunter, such things are simple.

Anyway, Kara pointed to one reporter that raised their hand like an honor student, truly weird. "From BOB News, do you have an image of the organization that you have created? And what is its purpose?"

Kara ponders but instantly decides that she will reveal it later. "The organization is wherever I am. As for its purpose, its purpose is everything related to magic, hunters, and knowledge.

"Any A-Rank Hunter and above are allowed to enter my organization's premises. Before any of you complain, it's purely because that's the minimum requirement to become versatile in mana.

"Meaning, we only want the cream of the top. If you find me arrogant for saying that, well, I have the strength to back it.

"So, what do we offer? We offer translated knowledge from the books found in dungeons. Information within the books shows how to utilize skills and such, anyway that's for you to find out. Those books will be in a library. (Separate from the World Tree library, of course)

"We also sell quality armors, weapons, enchantments, and potions, leagues above what anyone on Earth can offer. However, we only accept two kinds of currency. Gold and mana crystals, we won't trade in useless paper currency.

"Well, that's the overview of things, any other questions?" Kara's words had to be analyzed, trying to find out if there were any hidden meanings, they thought.

After a few brief minutes, a female press member asked, "As you have stated earlier, you would provide translated knowledge. Will the knowledge for recreating your potions be available?"

What the person asked was a genuinely good question. After all, if someone holds the knowledge of it too, Kara's monopoly will disappear.

Resolutely, Kara nodded without hesitation. "That is indeed true. However, we won't take responsibility for any individual's experiments. So, if people start dying left and right because of the consumption of a potion not created by us, well, good luck to you."

Kara's words stunned many, even those watching at home. Why? Simple. No one is so blatant as to state that they do not care for the lives of those affected. Many want to scream it out but do not dare to do so.

And right now, probably hundreds of comments are already flooding the internet about how uncaring Kara is. However, they are sorely mistaken if they think words will hurt her.

But, without missing a beat, she nodded towards another reporter. "How much better are the items sold in your organization compared to the items created by master blacksmiths and the sort?"

'Master blacksmith, my ass, we have dwarves!'

"If an E-Rank Hunter were to wear them, they could go against and survive against a C-Rank Hunter's blows. Is that enough to tell you how great they are; I'll even swear on my name if need be."

"U-Uh, not needed! Thank you for answering!" the person stuttered, busy writing away his thoughts.

The next to rise and give a question was an independent journalist, "Thank you for picking me! C-Can you tell us why you won't be utilizing the existing currency like dollars, yen, and many others?"

"That's a simple question to answer. What is the value of the paper currency? Isn't it essentially nothing? The only thing backing the US Dollar is oil. It's only the everyday people who added value to it while others kept printing it, inflating it to the sky.

"So, my organization will naturally trade in something real. Hence, gold and mana crystals. And if you are troubled carrying such things around, we sell storage rings that specifically store mana crystals and gold only."

Well, the people and the banking industry mainly scoffed at her words. To them, to go against the established paper currency is a fool's errand.

Anyway, even if Kara fails, she does not care. Kara always has the option to close her doors, as simple as that.

After that, some minor questions went Kara's way. She even looked towards Aerys, wondering why no one asked her questions.

However, when she analyzed it closer, Kara found that she surrounded herself with an illusion barrier, making it seem like Kara was the only one present at the venue!

'For Artosh's sake! This Dragon has the nerve to go invisible!' Kara thought, all the while sending glares at Aerys.

Being bored, Kara decided to quickly end the press conference since everything was getting too repetitive. "*Ahem* Anyway, I want to speed things up. The name of my organization would be Sanctum, while the name of the place will be Avant Heim."

People hearing this were confused, but at the moment, they were only watching Kara cast a spell on her palms.

After that short display, a massive shadow loomed everything. Curious what clouds could make such a thing, they all looked up. Though, the image they saw next will get burned into their souls for the rest of their lives.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Avant Heim. Oi! Mr. Cameramen, pan up and show Avant Heim to the world!" Kara said and immediately used a skill like Ruler's authority to tilt the cameras up!

Soon, the world saw the base of Sanctum. What caught their eyes was the flying aircraft around it, but what took the cake was the World Tree.

Yes, Kara may have stolen some aircraft carriers and converted them into magic aircraft carriers. However, now, they are not recognizable anymore!

Which, of course, included every jet inside that got converted too. After all, Kara didn't want the military on her ass, even if she could swat them away.

"Anyway, I will create teleportation platforms around the world for those who want to come. However, be warned. Only those with proper intentions can use them, or else, their fate will be gruesome."

Kara made it so that those who want to enter with malicious intentions will get burned and healed constantly on the teleportation platform. And the good-intentioned ones will be on their merry way.

After Kara's statement, she left along with Aerys. Though, she's starting to want to turn him/her/it back to an owl, like the good old days.
