A cloud of dust rose from the outskirts of Sokovia, and the city began to slowly rise, revealing the effectiveness of Ultron's anti-gravitational machine.
From down below, this plateau looked like a huge meteor, which was about to descend upon the world. Just like the current power coursing through Ultron's new body, it was magnificent.
"The day has finally come." Ultron grinned creepily, commanding all the other robots to disperse throughout the plateau. Thousands of civilians were panicking on the top of it, struggling to keep their faces clear of fear.
Ultron didn't understand the reason behind their worry. They were going to die if they were on this satellite, or even if they were on the other side of the world. Humanity's complete eradication was inevitable.
"They have finally arrived." Ultron noticed a crimson figure flying above the city, followed by Thor and Captain America. "They pose no threat to me. Though I wonder, when will that alien appear?"

Having killed an ordeal of robots one by one, Steve descended a shield onto the forehead of one figure, leaving a huge dent on its carcass. He then hurled his shield, successfully destroying a few more.
"I will help you. Don't move." Steve noticed a family of three hiding behind the collapsed building. He punched through the nearest wall, creating a small hole to the inside. Using his shield, he amplified it.
"Fast!" Steve urged the family, as they took off rapidly. The building came down almost immediately. "Go this way! There's a shelter there!"
In addition to searching for survivors, Steve destroyed hundreds of robots on the way. The absence of Hulk and Natasha had a major impact on the team's performance, but they didn't give up.
The fate of humanity rested on their shoulders.
"Jump! I will catch you!" Steve saw a figure of a man standing in the upper part of the building. Some clothing covered the individual's lower part of the face, revealing nothing but long, dark hair. The staircase had been destroyed entirely, and there were few options in allowing a safe exit.
"Hey, are you listening?! There is not much time! Jump!" Steve shouted again, yet there was no response. Honestly, this person seemed somewhat extraordinary, or maybe even familiar.
In the end, the man listened to Steve, jumping from the building without a second thought. Steve's face was tinged with even more doubt as he watched the man descend. Strangely enough, there was no fear in his eyes.
'Something is wrong.' Steve thought to himself, witnessing the man suddenly reveal a weapon from underneath his attire. The realization came a bit too late, and Steve's thigh got penetrated by a bullet.
He grunted, raising his shield in hopes of stopping other bullets. Instead, a tremendous force descended on his forearms, forcing him to fall backward and hit the ground.
"Die." The man, equipped with multiple weapons, pointed the gun at Steve's forehead and shot multiple times. Despite the pain, Steve rolled sideways and simultaneously threw his shield at the enemy.
Steve stopped for a moment when he saw the man catch his shield with one hand. It was a metallic hand. He pointed his gun at Steve again and shot him in the hand.
"Hmm..." The Winter Soldier grunted since his weapon was out of ammunition. Without thinking twice, Bucky sprinted toward Steve, who was unable to stand properly on his own.
As he neared closer, Bucky threw a punch towards Steve's face, which didn't hit the target, unfortunately. Disordered by the leg injury, Steve didn't manage to respond with a counterattack.
Instead, he felt a powerful punch land on his cheek, which sent him off flying a few feet away from Bucky. That didn't stop there. Bucky promptly jumped onto Steve's body, constricting his hands with his knees as he continued to strike him multiple times.
Taking out a pocket knife from under his gown, Bucky whispered to himself, "Mission accomplished." Steve looked miserable with his entire face swollen after a barrage of attacks. Yet, he still managed to catch the knife in the act.
Using his last bits of strength, Steve rolled sideways and lodged above the man. Landing one punch after another, the clothing hiding Bucky's face somewhat slid away, and Steve stopped immediately.
"Bucky?" Confusion spread across his face. Instead of an answer, however, Steve felt another kick land on his stomach.
"I don't know anyone named Bucky." The Winter Soldier answered, these words echoing multiple times in his ears. For some reason, this name bothered him. No... that didn't matter. He should concentrate on the mission.
"No... you are definitely Bucky. What happened to you?" Steve persisted further.
"I said I am not Bucky!" Getting irritated at this entire interaction, the Winter Soldier lunged forward to attack Steve again.
"I will not fight my friend." Steve raised his hand upward as if declaring his fortitude. "Stop Bucky... it's not the time to fight right now. Just look around, hundreds are dying as we speak, and each moment, the threat to humanity grows."
"Does it look like I care?!" Bucky launched another punch towards him, and Steve didn't dodge in time. He fell onto his back, his entire face covered in blood.
"Bucky, I don't know what happened to you, or how you survived, but please listen to me." Steve looked straight into Bucky's eyes, noting his immeasurable anger. "We have to stop Ultron... or else it's going to be the end of everything."
Bucky grasped the knife in his hand, his face conveying a blossom of emotions. Though he was reluctant, orders overwhelmed his inner thoughts.
Bucky plunged his knife into Steve's throat.

As the battle for the survival of mankind ensued, an enormous ship came into view from underneath the clouds. Despite its size, it moved briskly and caught up with the rising city in no time.
"Ensure the safety of the citizens. Help the Avengers as much as possible." Nick Fury ordered as the soldiers behind moved immediately. Looking at the unfolding scene through the huge pane, Nick couldn't help but feel worried. Was he currently witnessing the fall of humanity?
"I shall go as well." Hawkey, who stood beside Fury and his assistant, grabbed the bow on his back. He had spent too much searching for Natasha's killer, hence being a bit late for the party.
"Wait a second." Maria, Nick's most loyal subordinate, forced both gentlemen to stop for a moment. Having attracted their attention, a smile appeared on her face as she nodded subtly.
In that instant, the entire ship suddenly exploded in a torrent of blasts, complimenting the sonance of the flying city. Both Nick and Hawkeye felt a sharp pain going through their bodies, and both of them fell to the ground immediately. Blood flowed from their bodies.
"How...?" Nick Fury looked sideways, noting tens of soldiers pointing their guns at them. As he looked up, Maria's face already changed into something entirely different. Alexander Pierce.
"Sorry, man, nothing personal." Andrew took out his own gun and shot Fury in the head. Then also shot Hawkeye twice just in case, though he didn't seem to be alive anymore. "Should have thought twice before appearing here."
Andrew then turned around, putting on a smile deserving of a Hydra leader. Fortunately, none of the soldiers found anything suspicious about him or his powers, thinking he had those from the beginning.
Yes, his acting was that incredible.
Andrew raised his gun upwards, shooting twice into the air. "Hail Hydra!"
