Rescue (5)

After reading the {Alert}, the group followed Mark, up to his apartment. Getting inside, the four boys sat on a brown, leathery couch. Mark on the other hand sat across from them, on a rocking chair. Staring at the boys, Mark couldn't help but frown. He felt bad for them. They were just kids and had to be forced to live in a world where they could die any moment. Mark wasn't a hero, and definitely wouldn't waste his supplies on random kids. That however didn't stop him from giving them a place to rest for a bit.

"Where do you guys plan on going after this?"

"Convince store"

Looking at Johnathan, Mark nodded. It wasn't a bad idea to stock up on supplies. The problem however was, where they would put the items. The teenagers had a schools uniform on so Mark easily figured out what school they belonged to. Their school was quite some way from where they were located. So Mark knew that the kids lived further down since they wouldn't have walked this far if they lived closer to the school. If they were to walk with plenty of supplies in their hands all the way to their homes, they would most definitely not be able to fight any unexpected zombies that pop up.

"Sigh, I need to get supplies as well. There's also an apartment next door you kids can use to stock your items. And you guys don't have to worry. I wont take any of your things"

Hearing the mans suggestion, Johnathan couldn't help but feel grateful. Though they were close to his house, it was even further down the school his brother attended. If they could stay at the apartment next door, it could make things easier for them.

"We'll gladly accept the offer"

Mark nodded his head as he got up and walked to a counter, grabbing keys and tossing it to Johnathan. "Good. Now then, shall we go to the convenience store. I have to stock up on supplies too".

"Ash, stay in the apartment next door. It would be a lot safer for you and us"

"Bu-"

"We'll be back. We have to bring back the stuff anyways"

Ash looked at Ivan and slowly nodded. He was scared to be alone. He didn't want the people he saw as 'big brothers', die. He quickly got attached to them after they saved his life, but he knew that the other probably didn't feel the same way. After all, he was just someone they saved, and nothing stopped them from leaving him. He knew he couldn't help with much, but he still gave in and agreed to stay in the apartment.

As the group walked out, before leaving the top floor, Johnathan opened the door to the other apartment and had Ash walk in. After giving Ash instructions on not to open the door for anyone who knocks, or even asks to go in, the group left and made their way to the convenience store.

Getting out of the bike store from the back door, the group as silently as they could walked forwards. As they were walking, they past a few establishments that had some disturbing sounds coming from them. Ignoring it they made their way to the crossway. However before they crossed the street, they saw zombies to their right on the other side of the street making their way towards them.

As fast as they could, the group ran to the convenience store that was a few meters in front of them. Getting to the store they quickly entered and shut the door. Since the zombies weren't fast enough, they were left behind tens of meters.

The group then sighed of relief that the zombies weren't any faster, or smarter. Straightening themselves, the four walked around the convenience store, but before they could make it far, they heard the growls of seven zombies.

Cursing their luck, Johnathan took out his knife and put up his guard. The other did the same, as they took out their weapons and got in a squatted like stance, making sure they were ready to attack whenever. Shortly after, the seven zombies walked towards them from all sides of the store.

"Get ready boys. We gotta fuck these ugly shits up"

Hearing Mark say that, made the boys get hyped up. They were excited for some reason. Their lives could be in danger, but for some reason they couldn't wait to fight and murder these monsters. As the excitement rose up from their very core, they shouted in unison.

""Lets fuck these bitches up""

Johnathan grabbed a nearby cardboard sign and threw it at one of the zombies to his left. He then took off with an explosive start, with a knife in his hands. Reaching the zombie, Johnathan kicked it as hard as he could in the rib cage, making a loud cracking sound. Falling, the zombie was not able to do anything against what Johnathan was about to do.

Gripping onto his knife, Johnathan stabbed the fallen over zombie, officially killing it. Mark stared in awe as he witnessed Johnathan quickly kill one of the zombies. Smiling, he gripped his bat and ran forward. Swinging his bat as hard as he could at the zombies head, he easily shattered its skull and destroyed his brain. Killing the zombie in front of him, he quickly went over to the other one, near to his far right.

While Johnathan and Mark, were on a rampage, the other two, did not just watch. The two sprinted to different zombies and used their knives to stab the, in the head, killing them. Not even five minutes later, the four had completely obliterated the seven zombies.

After they were done with the zombies, the four searched the ones they killed for crystals. luckily, Johnathan and Danny found one, while the others were less fortunate and found none. Looking over to his side, Johnathan saw that Mark was searching for something on the bodies of the zombies he killed. Just as Johnathan thought, Mark had knew about the crystals power.

Feeling a pair of eyes looking at him, Mark turned around. "What. You didn't really think I wouldn't know about crystals. Right?"

Johnathan shrugged his shoulders. It might've been naïve of him to think that but he couldn't help it. He had his suspicions but he thought that Mark didn't leave his store. And without leaving his store, Johnathan doubted he would get a crystal.

"Anyways, Lets gather the supplies"

Changing the subject, Johnathan brought up the supplies.

AN: For those wondering why they haven't encountered too many zombies, its because they aren't taking main streets, so there's a significantly less amount of zombies.
