Chapter 7

Jen stood next to Jaxs and Amara as they watched Rae attempt to open the locked doors and even call out to them.

It hurt Jen to see Rae look so sad.

"She'll be ok . Let the human worry alittle. She's going to do as humans do." Jaxs said his heart aching for Rae and Jens friendship.

Amara hugged both Jen and Jaxs. Her eyes tearing up.

"Let her grow. She will be back." Amara said as a tear fell from her eye.

If Jaxs and Amara were honest with themselves. It would be safe to say they say both Jen and Rae like their daughters. Jen was from the mermaid section. And mermaids had the hardest time turning the fins to legs. But Jen picked up quick. Jen made them laugh endlessly as they had to teach her everything from crawling to walking. Than they had Rae.

Jax and Amara first met Rae fove years ago. They had went out to assist a mermaid nobles ship who had missed the landing plot of the hotel. Jaxs not paying attention to the road. Watching Amara who was lost in song and dancing in her seat. Only a few yards ahead. A young Jen was in the front of a car with a smile her hand extended infront of her. When Jaxs returned his gaze to the road. In a panic he slammed the brakes. The car should have hit Jen.

The only thing that Jaxs and Amara can recall about that moment was that they saw a light. And than Jen was gone. when jaxs came to a complete stop. He panickly looked at the seat next to him amd realized it was empty. He only calmed down when he saw amara who was already out of the car standing scarily still. Like a mannequin. Her humans fingers slightly longer. Her nails as sharp as a knife.

Amaras eyes glued to the two girls. Being from the beast planet as a leaopard her nose had picked up a very rare scent. She had no control over her body that jumped out of the car before it had stopped. Landing perfectly on her feet. She could not explain why she felt instantly protective of the young brunette and didn't dare let her out of her sight. However she couldn't move. It was only a few seconds when Amara realized her feline eyes had showed along with her fangs. She quickly transformed back to her human form. Scared and shocked at what had just happened. Fear and panic written on her face.

Jaxs too was caught off gaurd when he first glanced at the young lady. As an eagle his sense of smell was alot weaker than amaras. It was hes sharp eyes that betrayed him. He's eyes now resemble that of a golden eagles. Piercing eyes muscles tense ready to act any threat to this younge lady.

Being from the same section of the vast universe. Jaxs was able to see his wife's minor transformation before she quickly changed back and ran to the young lady's.

Amara was only worried about the young woman and quickly examined her from head to toe.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere" Amara asked Rae anxiously. Totally ignoring Jen who was the one who they almost ran over.

"What? I'm fine." Rae broke away from her and helped Jen up.

Amara and Jax knew exactly who Jen was the moment they say her. Jen was wearing a magical seashell necklace that helped her glide in the air and make her look like a normal human. This device could only last so long and if slightly damaged would stop working.

Panic on their face they helped Jen up and escorted her to the car. Amara and jaxs couldn't leave the young brunette.

Amara stalked Rae day and Jaxs stalked her at night. When they found out she needed a job. Thanks to Jen. Amara put an add out for a hotel receptionist. And the rest was history.
