LOVED

Special realized that there was no escaping the resort as she was turned back at the gate.

"The king has been looking for you, Your grace, he asked that you meet him at your chambers ma'am" The security man stationed at the gate said to her as she wanted to make her escape from the entire episodes of shame.

Special fidgeted a bit. She wondered what she could do at that moment. Exiting the resort was the only viable plan. If she did not leave, the embarrassment she had earlier received from the encounter with Obi would simply escalate. She had to run away for a long time at least. But slowly she found her steps changing as she's staggered. Walking and sighing at the same time, her mind preoccupied with so many thoughts. Thoughts of what would she say to King Derek.

Who would even believe her side of the story? Recollecting the image of how he took steps back when she approached him, wanting to touch him, reassuring him that she did not sleep with that animal. It was all heart wrenching.

She couldn't believe how she found herself on such a mess with that bastard of a man. Finally, she walked into the suit counting her steps and holding her breath. She realized that this could very well be the end of their beautiful union. A very short union indeed. Special set every fear aside as she twisted the knob of the door into her room.

There he was!

She muttered to herself. King Derek sat on her bed holding a piece of paper which she already knew what was inscribed on it. She had kept it underneath her pillow before dashing out of the room.

"You sent for me!" She blurted out trying to sound all brave and composed. However deep down, she was shattered and wounded. This was a nightmare!

King Derek stared at her for a fleeting moment and returned to the letter or whatever was bothering his mind she thought. Raising the paper up to her direction, he beckoned on her to move closer. Special did not realized that she had her back pressed against the door since she stepped into the room. Slowly she counted her steps like an errant child, until she stood some meters away from him.

Without hesitation, he pulled her arm and tugged her unto his laps. "My darling Special, i do hope you know you are not a coward. You are a Queen!"

What would he be talking about. She assumed he would want her out of his presence as quickly possible.

"You were going to leave me just like that. As though I never mattered to you?" Special was more confused than she had ever been. "Oh you do not have a reply my love. I am talking to you. You were going to just run away from everything we have shared however how short the time we have".

"I thought... you didn't want me again" She muttered slowing and the tears began to drop.

"Would there ever be a time i don't want you in this world.?"

"But I thought you believed him over me...you didn't want me to touch you"Special said amidst the tears.

"oh it was dark, I stepped back into the light to see your face but you retreated so quickly and ran away. I never knew you to be a coward."

The tears began to spill more.

"But I just thought you believed everything they said about me" She repeated.

"And why in heaven's name would I believe everything they said about you?"

King Derek asked his wife.

"You thought I was one to quickly celebrate your accusers when i have witnessed the ill treatment done to you repeatedly over the years. You simply forget just how special you really are to me. You expect me to believe someone who said he had been sleeping with you since a couple of years ago when only recently i tore through your womanhood, securing your virtue as my prize for life." He rubbed her cheek, moving his fingers to her lips.

She blushed at his statement as though it was such a compliment with a great effect on her. She couldn't hide the smile crawling over her face despite her wet eyes.

"So you wanted to leave me and run back to who? You wanted me to be miserable huh?"

"But I have no one to run back to. I was mainly looking for a place to clear my head."

"Then you come into your room to clear your head next time." She nodded like a little child.

"Now let's go for dinner before i take off your dress and bury myself deep inside of you. Besides, this night is going to be a real good night".

Smiling as they walked to the dinner hall, Special was relieved to know that Derek didn't believe anything as she was set up. Knowing he trusted her was enough reassurance to get through the dinner.
