Ares in Danger?

Valentina took out black sunglasses from her spatial ring and put them on her blue eyes along with some snacks and started munching on them without bothering with the Empress's expression.

Valentina's shamelessness caused Mary's eyebrows to twitch in annoyance but she was a very calm individual, so she would rather look on long-term benefits than short-term benefits.

Hence, She let Valentina's overbearing attitude slide this time.

"Why are we here 'Your Majesty'?" asked Adah in a flat, unemotional, and pococurante tone.

With a light cough, Mary managed to regain her calm:

"Uhhm, I am sure both of you must have heard about Luke's engagement with Princess Seraphina of Lipon Kingdom..."

"They are nice people and respect the Imperial family a lot."

"The Lipon Kingdom has sent some gifts for both of you, so I hope you two can accept them wholeheartedly without shying away from it..."

Saying so, Mary took out a number of precious jewelry, rare crystals, and gems along with two Designer bracelets embedded with invaluable gems from her storage ring and put them on the carpet in front of Valentina and Adah.

There were many pieces of jewelry but the bracelets had an irresistible charm that attracted the attention of both women.

It was beautiful and had a natural charm with delicate yet intricate features.

Valentina and Adah both silently took the bracelets without giving a second look to Mary,

They inspected it carefully but didn't know why it felt more attractive than other jewelry.

Both of them put the bracelets on their wrists one by one.

They were quite satisfied with it.

'Finally..' Adam breathed out a sigh of relief.

Ethereal black chains tried to surround and lock onto Ares's soul.

'Hehehe, now you are mine' thought Adam with a perverted grin on his face.

Adam then looked towards the 'bodyguard' and asked Ares, "Why don't you send him back?"

Ares glanced at Noah from the corner of her eyes, seeing him nod, she ordered, "You can go back now" in a neutral tone.

Noah nodded and left.

But-

Before leaving he sent a mental message to Ares:

"Be careful and enjoy~"

Ares was surprised to hear Noah's voice in her mind but she quickly realized that people above S-rank can transmit messages mentally, so she thought Noah must have used some technique to bypass that minimum requirement.

As soon as Noah's figure vanished from the eyes of Adam he asked Ares:

"Why don't you show me your room, Ares?"

Ares immediately nodded like a robot, stood up, and lead the way to her room in the palace without any questions or resistance.

Adam smirked and followed behind her while rubbing his palms together.

At the same time within Empresses room,

Valentina and Adah put the bracelets on their wrists, took other things in their storage rings nonchalantly.

Mary smirked as well but didn't let it show on her face.

Mary took out a ring that had a shining black crystal embedded on it and gave it to Valentina,

"This one is for Noah since he is an old friend of Seraphina, King of Lipon Kingdom prepared this for him especially."

Mary handed the ring to Valentina with a smile:

"Give it to Noah when you see him.."

Mary then looked towards Adah and smiled apologetically...

Adah didn't mind it though. Eve has always been quite distant from the family and does not even live in the Palace.

Eve lives outside the palace in her own mansion, so most people don't know about her existence.

"Hmmm, that is all, I hope you two can give Luke and Seraphina your blessings," Mary said with a small smile.

Valentina and Adah never had any issues with this marriage, so they nodded and left almost immediately.

They had no intentions of staying in this room any longer than required.

5 minutes later...

"Mom, how did it go?" Luke rushed into the Empress's room and asked in a perturbed tone upon seeing a relaxed Mary who was casually sipping on a cup of tea.

Mary didn't bother opening her eyelids and kept sipping on her tea...

Luke jumped on the couch in front of her and was about to *slam* the table in front of him when Mary opened her eyes and said in a chilling tone:

"Can you stop slamming the table in my room !?"

"Every time, every single fucking time you come into my room and slam the table when I am sipping my tea, thus ruining my peace!"

"If you don't stop slamming the table I promise you I'll pour my entire cup of hot tea up your ass someday!!"

*Gulp*

Luke gulped audibly.

Mary released her aura of SS rank practitioner and put immense pressure on Luke.

Luke immediately went pale. Over the years, he has developed a bad habit of slamming the table because he dislikes the casual and nonchalant attitude of his mother from the bottom of his heart.

Mary glanced at Luke with a look full of contempt, in her eyes only people who are calm under any circumstances are successful, others are all worthless.

"Y-yes! I understand" Luke said in a meek tone.

Mary rarely loses her calm but when she does, it is better to not fan the flames... so Luke is used to changing his attitude from an overbearing man to a humble man in the spur of a moment.

Mary closed her eyes again and sipped on her tea, Luke waited patiently for her response not daring to disturb her peaceful moments anymore.

A few minutes later she opened her eyes slightly and replied, "Yup"

That was more than enough for Luke to jump in joy in a comical way but he didn't, fearing he would again disturb Mary so he just nodded and he smiled from ear to ear.
