Chapter 22

[SEVERAL MINUTES AGO]

"Rain...?" Paris called his name as he looked at him. Rain was sitting across him, playing a game while eating and not saying anything at all.

The two of them decided to eat lunch in their clubroom so no one could hear their conversation aside from them, but since they got there, Rain never said anything about what he wanted to talk about.

"Yeah?" he said, still facing his phone. "What did you want to talk about? I can't even swallow my food properly because you're making me feel nervous," Paris said and sighed.

'I purposely didn't say anything up until now because I'm still hesitant to ask him since I realized it's still a bit early, but...' Rain's eyebrows furrowed as his game was coming to an end.

After a few more seconds, he finally finished the game. Rain put his phone down and leaned his back against his chair.

'I suppose it can't be helped. I should just talk about it. I called him out here, after all,' Rain thought.

"It's a bit embarrassing to ask this but... What's your type?" Rain asked and cleared his throat.

Paris didn't know how he was gonna react. He was a bit shocked and confused as to why Rain was asking him about his type.

"Why? What's this about?" Paris asked as he tilted his head a bit. "It's just, uh... I'm still thinking of what my type is. Maybe we're the same," Raid said, lying through his teeth.

Paris let out a loud laugh, making Rain flinch. 'Why is he laughing? Has he gone crazy?' he thought.

"Hey, don't kid with me. You already have a type. I know you like my brother, so you can stop that already. Just tell me what it is about," Paris said as he wiped the tear from his eye that formed because of too much laughter.

"Haha, I had a good laugh..." he whispered to himself as he chuckled.

Rain felt like the world just came crashing down on him.

'I like his brother? How... did he know that?' Rain thought as his mouth gaped open.

Rain pursed his lips as he clenched his jaw and let out a sigh of defeat.

"Fine. You know I like him. Good for you. I just asked what your type is because I wanted to help a friend," Rain said as he moved his body forward and took a spoonful of his food.

"A friend? You have another friend aside from us?" Paris raised a brow, not believing what Rain just said.

Rain hurriedly chewed his food so he could respond to him right away.

"That's offensive. You're so rude. Of course, you guys are not my only friends," Rain frowned at him. "Hmm? Really?" Paris chuckled, still not believing him. "Just tell me. Is it Chesca?" he continued.

"Chesca? Why are you bringing her up so suddenly? Did you hit your head somewhere?" Rain looked at him weirdly. Paris felt his face turn hot, feeling embarrassed for assuming that it was Chesca.

"Besides, she has a boyfriend and you guys also fight all the time. Why would Chesca ask for your type?" Rain scoffed.

He stared at Paris' face intently and watched his eyes stray all over the place as he tried to think of an answer to Rain's question.

"Or... Did you bring her up because you like her?" Rain asked, still staring at Paris.

Paris' already red face turned even redder upon hearing what his friend said.

A half smile formed in Rain's lips. 'Bingo. I should use this against him. Now, I can turn the table around with this,' he thought as his eyes smiled.

'But things sure did get really complicated...' Rain thought.

"Just tell me what your type is. Answer more of my questions in the future too, and I'll make sure not to tell Chesca about this. Deal?" Rain said and took another spoon from his food.

Paris looked at his food and thought, 'Now, I can't eat my food. How am I even supposed to eat when my stomach already hurts because of nervousness?'

His eyes jotted up to Rain, who was watching his every mov.

'Still... If it's Rain, then I guess I can trust him,' Paris thought.

"You know Chesca, right? So yeah, you do. But she's not my type. Not even in the slightest. If I were to describe my type, it would probably be Tori, but just throw her attitude away. I just like her face," Paris let out a soft chuckle.

'If Vicky heard him right now, she'd probably smack him right in the head,' Rain thought.

"What about guys? Do you not like men?" Rain asked. "Men? Hmm... I guess I do have male celebrity crushes. They're mostly omegas, though. So, I guess if we're talking about my preference when it comes to men, it's probably still the beautiful type," Paris answered.

'He likes pretty faces so much. Still, I don't think Yuri wouldn't have a chance, judging from how I got confronted earlier just because we're friends. Besides, he literally looks like a game character because of how pretty he looks,' Rain thought.

"Pushing looks aside, what about the personality?" Rain asked and grabbed the bottle of juice. He turned the cap around to open it and drank from it right away.

"I like..." Before Paris could even continue what he was about to say, the door to the club room suddenly opened.

Theodore leaned his back against the wall and massaged his temples right away after letting out a sigh.

Rain and Paris looked at each other in confusion. Theodore looked like he was chased by a serial killer, judging from how he looks so relieved that he got inside the room.

The two of them didn't say anything and just waited for Theodore to notice them. They thought it would be fun to see his reaction.

After Theodore calmed down, he was finally able to snap back to reality, and that's when he felt like his soul just left his body when he saw Paris and Rain. His hand instinctively held his chest as he felt like his heart just tried to break through his ribcage.

"Why didn't you say anything if you were here?!"
