Chapter 24

Wearing a monochromatic outfit—a black dress shirt, black pants, a pair of black leather derby shoes, and a black Rol*x watch—Theodore stumbled backward as he saw Yuri.

'What...' Theodore's hands started feeling all cold and sweaty as he stared at the omega. Yuri's face became distorted as he watched Theodore's facial expression change.

'What is this...? This feeling is back again...' Theodore thought as he felt his hair stand on its end as he stared at Yuri's face longer.

"What? What are you looking at?" Yuri glared at him with a frown. He didn't like how Theodore stared at him, especially because he thinks the alpha is insulting him in his head.

However, contrary to what Yuri thought, Theodore actually thought otherwise.

'Why does he have to look that good? He shouldn't go around looking like that. It makes me feel all weird inside,' Theodore thought as he looked away.

"Nothing," the alpha responded as he tried to compose himself.

Yuri stared at him as payback for staring at him earlier, and he regretted it right away when he realized how good Theodore looked in his outfit.

If Paris looked like a model out of a magazine, Theodore looked like someone who gets interviewed in magazines about young bachelor billionaires. He looked elegant and stylish with his monochromatic outfit as if he was a young CEO.

'Why is he staring at me?' Theodore thought, feeling his body turn even colder, as Yuri was burning a hole through him.

"Oh, Tori just texted me. She said she and Rain are already there," Paris said while looking at his phone. Theodore cleared his throat, "Let's leave, then."

"Yeah," Paris nodded.

The three of them headed out and saw the car that was waiting for them right outside of the dormitory.

Yuri wasn't even shocked anymore when he saw that it was a luxury car. Judging from Chesca's circle of friends, it wouldn't be shocking for them to own a luxury car or two.

Yuri still didn't know their family backgrounds, but based on what he usually sees, he thinks their parents probably have high positions in a company, or maybe they even own a company.

'Lucky them,' Yuri thought as he thought of all the things the other kids have.

Growing up as a kid in a poor family with no parents and only being raised by his granny and uncle, Yuri felt envious. He didn't have a lot of things. In fact, he had less—at least, lesser than an average kid has.

Although he was thankful for his granny and uncle for taking care of him, it wouldn't feel right for him to say that he's already contented with what he has because he knows that he isn't.

As the three of them stopped in front of the car, Yuri's eyes were diverted to the hands of the two guys who were both holding the car door handle.

"Let me sit in front," Theodore said as he looked at Paris. Paris chuckled and beamed, "I want to sit in front, though?"

"Come on, man. It's plenty spacious in the back. Why don't you sit there?" Theodore said, trying to convince Paris to sit in the back. "Just like what you said, Theo, it's plenty spacious in the back. Why don't 'you' sit there?" Paris said, emphasizing the word you.

The alpha threw a quick glance at Yuri, who was watching them fight for the front seat. Again, his body turned cold just from seeing Yuri.

Paris took it to his advantage when he saw how distracted Theodore was. He immediately opened the door and pushed Theodore slightly. He went in with a grin plastered on his face as if taunting the alpha.

"I'm sitting here, dude. Just get in," Paris laughed and closed the door after saying what he wanted to say.

Theodore looked at Yuri once again and his already cold body felt even colder. His palms started getting sweaty and his breathing became heavy as if Yuri was making it hard for him to breathe.

The alpha clenched his jaw and let out a heavy sigh. He opened the door and looked at Yuri, "Get in."

'I understand that he doesn't want to sit next to me, but why is he acting like I'm so disgusting? I don't wanna sit next to him either,' Yuri thought as he scoffed. He went inside the car, just like Theodore said, and the alpha followed right after him.

The entire ride, Theodore made sure to stick right next to the door. He wanted to create a huge space between them because he feels like if they sat even a foot away from each other, his heart would literally stop. It was already racing and pounding so hard that he didn't want to make it even worse.

'I should tell Mom about this. I might be sick...' Theodore thought as he pursed his lips and looked outside the window.

Yuri turned his head to look at Theodore, and when he saw how the alpha looked like he was so desperate to distance himself from him made him feel offended and irked.

'Now, he's blatantly showing that he doesn't even want to be in the same space as me. Could he get even more annoying than he already is?' Yuri thought as he turned his head to the window.

'Still... I guess it's a lot better that he's not saying much today. I thought he'd start yapping again like he always does,' the omega thought.

Yuri was so distracted by Theodore that he started to forget about Paris, who was quietly on his phone the entire ride.

Paris couldn't help but smile when he texted Chesca as they got nearer to her house.

To: Chesca

You sure Theo will be fine like this? I glanced at him earlier and it was like he stopped breathing LOL

Paris tried his best to suppress his laugh when he heard Chesca's reply to his message.

From: Chesca

LMAO that's what I wanted to happen

Paris glanced at the two people sitting in the back and felt like the car temperature suddenly turned cold. The air around Theodore and Yuri wasn't awkward at all. However, it was heavy and suffocating.

Although Paris is a bit slow at picking up the atmosphere, the two were obvious enough for him to realize that they really didn't want to sit next to each other.

'I think Chesca might really be the devil...' Paris thought as he turned his head and looked at Theodore, who looked like his soul just left his body.

'Why is he acting like that?'
