A desperate strong front and trembling dewy eyes.


The look Rain had on his face before closing the door on July remained on the alpha's mind even as he stood outside the door and tried to process what had happened.


"This is all my fault..." He mumbled to himself as he sat on the floor and leaned his back against the wall right next to Rain's door.


'I should have broken up with Lizzy right away... No, I shouldn't have dated her in the first place,' he thought to himself as he covered his face with his palms and let out a heavy sigh.


As he sat there quietly while breathing deeply from time to time to calm himself down, his phone vibrated in his pocket.


Not minding his vibrating phone, he continued thinking about what could have been had he broken up with Lizzy earlier.


"I miss him already..." He sighed as he folded his legs and rested his forehead on top of his knees.
