I curled my hands into fists and clenched my jaw. He's just trying to provoke you. Focus on your happy memory. I blew out a breath, squeezed my eyes closed a little tighter, and held on to the mental image I had of Trent on our wedding day.
"In fact," Isach continued. "I spoke to Jax last night, and he's agreed."
Anger churned in my chest, and I flexed my fingers, but I fought against the urge to scream at Isach.
"He was rather excited, actually. Said he'd do whatever he could to help," Isach said, his voice bouncing around the room. He must be pacing again. "He's willing to marry you, you know? Raise that child as his own."
Yeah, I bet Jax would love that. He could have the life he always wanted, the life Trent had and Jax didn't. There was just one small problem with their plan - I didn't love Jax, and I would never agree to this.
