Sighing, I closed my eyes, tilted my face up to the sun, rested back on the pool floatie, and dipped my fingertips into the warm water. Trent really was getting his money's worth from this pool. I was in here every chance I got.
"Someone looks relaxed," Jax said.
I snapped my eyes open and found him crouched near the edge of the pool. He wore black swim trunks and a pair of sunglasses. Muscular flesh glistened with a sheen of sweat, and the sight of him like that made my mouth dry.
"Isn't that painful?" I asked.
His skin was already starting to turn red. If he didn't get in the shade soon, he'd blister.
He tossed his sunglasses onto the nearest lounge chair, then dove into the pool. The water rippled outward, causing my floatie to waver slightly. I was too far away from the edge, though, and I couldn't stop from toppling over into the water.
