Sara - News

The wind continued to whip the trees around in the aftermath of the storm. The spring rains were unusually heavy. Flooding was becoming a real threat in the lower lying areas. Electricity had been out in many homes multiple times in the last three weeks.

Sara sat next to the window and watched as the rain splattered against the window. Her hair was pulled back and covered with a kerchief. It was early afternoon, and she was still in her nightclothes. She had tried to guilt herself into getting dressed, but it was too much work for her. Her body was too weak, and her stomach protested every time she stood up and moved about. If she was truly honest with herself, she would have admitted that the depression was the major factor. That would never be admitted to. To do so would be to admit weakness. As it was, she had to face other issues.
