I obey, awkwardly sprawled over the dark green coverlet, and train my eyes on the skylight. It is out of this world, all right. My heart races, mouth runs dry, sweat beads my hairline as a sudden image of Jai lying next to me here fills my mind. Quickly, I sit up, bothered by the strength of this unexpected emotion, and we lock eyes. I swear I can see the same flurry cross his face, but it soon disappears, and he opens yet another smile. Reaching a hand my way - which I grab, for I suddenly experience an unexpected need to touch him - he helps me up.
"It's really cool, innit?"
All I can do is nod, and traipse downstairs after him, as he chatters about my trip to London.
"It was fine," I reply, when he asks about it, and take a seat on the kitchen stool across from him.
