"Why is he behaving like this?" Kai murmured, grabbing the former's attention.

Augustus took a deep breath. Unlike last time the alcohol made an impact on him. Rejections have their effects on him. He looked inconceivable.

"Either he is damn happy that we proposed him or he is too shocked that WE proposed him"

Kai clasped his head after remembering Ivan and the decisions that seemed utterly wrong to him.

"What has happened to my Amor?" He too sounded drunk and on the verge of crying while thinking about Ivan. This is not what he expected to happen. Rejection was still okay for him because he had thought of changing it into yes but Ivan went further choosing someone else. It became simply indigestible for him.

Augustus felt his patience filling up just the way Bartie filled the beer in his mug, to the fullest. The drunk duplets looked flummoxed and speechless.
