Huvel was in the sitting room. The aroma of freshly brewed tea filled the room. With the addition of warm morning sunlight, the room was cozy. He was accompanied by a cute young man. The young man had a red lavish coat on him. Behind him were two servants, standing motionlessly like statues.
"Didn't I tell you to wait me find someone for you! Why did you invite a whore again?" The young man shouted, neglecting his usual good manners.
"I listened to my cute little brother and actually waited. But my libido swelled up and I could not keep it under control, you know?" Huvel said playfully.
Although the young man was clearly angry, Huvel thought he was cute since his face still had childish looks. The young man was Albert, his little brother. Although he had two more little brothers who were younger than Albert, Huvel thought Albert was the cutest and most childlike. His heart was in pain when he thought that the culprit of his mother's death might be the duchess, Albert's mother.
"You are too lustful! And stop saying 'cute little brother'! Just call me Albert like you used to." Albert raised his voice. "Anyway, I told you I would bring you someone. So, I bring him today. Don't invite those whores from the city anymore. It would damage the reputation of both you and Mastero family!"
"Hmm? You brought me someone to play with?!" Huvel said as his brows moved up. "What a responsible little brother you are! So, where is he?"
One of the servants standing behind Albert stepped to the side. Huvel's high eyebrows slightly frowned.
"His name is Bellamy. He is 18 this year. He is to be punished for something he did. But I saved him to accompany you. Do you like him?" Albert said with sparkling eyes as if he was expecting a compliment.
Huvel frowned deeper. The servant named Bellamy had the look of thugs on the street. His body was bigger than an average 18-year-old's and on the muscular side. His clothes were clean but not neat at all.
"Albert, you brought me a criminal?" Huvel's voice was cold.
"A… a criminal?" Albert stuttered. He explained timidly without looking at Huvel. "They said he did something wrong and was to be punished but… but I'm not belittling you! It is very difficult, no, nearly impossible to find a man that wants to entertain you, do you know that? So, I have no choice but to find someone who would do anything! Why do you have like men anyway?!"
"Fine, I won't blame you for that." Huvel shook his head. "But, criminal or not, at least bring me someone with good looks. You know, I don't f*ck just anyone. Even my servants have better looks than him."
Everybody in the room was dumbfounded by Huvel's bluntness. Huvel studied Bellamy. He looked angry for a moment but then he quickly suppressed his emotions. Huvel sighed inwardly. He believed that the boy was sent by someone to spy him. He must be a criminal. To exchange his chastity to be pardoned from punishments, his crime must be big. He was angry at the unknown someone who wanted to spy him, for using the still innocent Albert.
"FINE! Do whatever you want, you psycho! I won't try to help you again!" Albert became angry after he recovered from his surprise at Huvel's bluntness and stood up.
"YOU! Why are you following me?! Stay here and be a dog to that dirty big brother of mine!" He took his frustration out on the servant before he left the house.
The servant stood still, speechless. Huvel did not care about him and went up to his bedroom. He believed Albert would not come and lecture him for a long time.

Huvel was practicing some dark magic spells in his room. His mana pool reached the third circle before Laurent left so he could cast higher tier spells now. But most dark spells were mind attack spells so he could not really practice them. As his mana pool became larger, his already reliable spell [Dark Shroud] also became better. He could increase the radius of the spell up to 10 meters and he could cast two layers.
When he wanted to practice potion making or listen to Karl's reports, he casted both layers. He casted the first layer to seal smell of herbs and voices. The second layer was to detect if somebody was trying to eavesdrop him.
"Some nobles that were injured in the battles were sent back from the frontlines. They arrived this morning. They said we are winning the war and it is only a matter of time for the enemy to surrender. It seems lord duke will also return soon!" Karl made his usual report.
"Father is the second-in-command of the whole army. He can't return until the war is really over." Huvel said before he took a sip of tea. "They may be winning but the negotiations will take quite a long time. What I'm concerned is my enemy making a move on me before father returns. Have some kids on the streets secretly watch the gate of the courtyard and record all the strangers that enter."
"I've already found some children for that. I'll tell them when I go out tomorrow."
"Good. Observe the servant that recently entered this house too. Hmm… You don't need to do that anymore. I will observe him myself from now on." Huvel said with a grin.
"What do you mean, master?" Karl asked with his head tilting to one side.
"There is a rat outside. Get ready to catch it!" Huvel said as he stood up and walked to the door.
Outside the room, Bellamy was trying to his hardest to hear any voices from inside of the room. He was gifted with good ears. The fact that he was excused from his punishment and tasked to spy this house was because of his good hearing ability. However, even with his good ears, he could not hear a single voice from inside of the room of the master of the house.
He spread some copper coins around him and get on all fours, pretending to pick up the coin while putting his ear to the wall to eavesdrop. Suddenly, he felt something on his head. He did not hear any footsteps nor door opening but there were three legs when he looked to the front. He looked up and realized that the one missing leg was actually stepping on his head! The owner of that leg was none other than the master of the house!
"Well… well… well, when I heard Albert told you to become a dog of mine when he gifted you to me, I thought he was speaking nonsense." Huvel said loudly, without any intension to remove his foot from the servant's head. "Only now, I realize that you actually behave like a dog, walking on four limbs in front of my room. If you want to be my dog that badly, I'll grant your wish!"
