Your Highness Have to Take His Place

"I did not expect Lord Huvel to invite me to his room that might be full of secrets," the prince said as he was entering the room.

"Hmm?" Huvel looked back before waving a hand to a chair for the prince to sit. "What are you talking about Sir?"

Prince Leonard sat down and glanced the room. One of the man that followed him stood closely behind him. The other man did not enter the room and stood guard after closing the door.

"A few days ago, a subordinate of mine showed me this potion," the prince said as he brought out a tube of potion. "It was interesting so I investigated a little."

"Is it that interesting? And does it have anything to do with me?" Huvel tilted his head and rested it on his fist. He recognized his potion tube but he only showed boredom on his face.

Inwardly, he cussed the person who brought the potion to the prince. "Just why did he have to show it to the prince. Had the prince already gotten Laurent?"

The prince was disappointed when Huvel showed no interest. But he still pressed on the matter. "It is indeed interesting so I investigated the seller. His name is Laurent Armon if I am not wrong. Well, that does not matter. What matters is he pointed towards you!"

Huvel's heart skipped a beat when he heard the last part. "They got Laurent?! If he revealed about me, then, he's dead?!"

He stood up and walked to the prince.

He bended down until his face was just in front of the prince and said coldly, "Then, I'll have to ask Your Highness to tell me what you did to my cute amour?!"

The prince was startled by Huvel's action that he had never expected. At first, he got angry by Huvel's rudeness. But then, he froze as he felt threatened after seeing the creepy smile in front of him!

"Hey! How dare you act arrogantly in front of His Highness!" The man behind the prince shouted. He did not see Huvel's eyes well so he did not know how the prince felt at that time. He grabbed Huvel's shoulder to drag him away from the prince.

"THUD!!"

The man fell down without uttering a word. He did not move afterward as if he was no longer alive!

"HUH?!"

Prince Albert could not help but cried in surprise. He could not understand what just happened.

When the King appointed the first prince as a chief commander of the army, he did not even assign any magician to protect the prince. The prince got a magician bodyguard only because the Queen could not stay still and assigned the magician that had been serving her for long to protect him.

Although that magician had not reached the level of a mage, he was still a 3rd-circle Earth apprentice-mage. Even though he was not strong physically, no normal knight could knock him out since he was protected by his earth magic. Thus, the prince could not believe the incident that happened before his very eyes. He did not even see Huvel moving. However, the apprentice-mage was actually on the floor, and he was not getting up even after a long while.

Huvel actually did something even though the prince could not see it. He felt mana from the man as soon as he grabbed his shoulder. He knew that it would become troublesome to deal with a magician so he channelled his mana into the magician and disrupted the mana flow of him. When the magician's mana flow was messy and his resistant was weak, he casted the 3rd-tier dark magic spell [Sleep] directly from inside of the man's body to his brain.

Although a 3rd-circle magician could resist a spell that was of the same tier as his magic circle to some extent, he could not resist the spell as his mana flow was disrupted. The veteran magician who was supposed to protect the prince fell asleep as soon as [Sleep] was casted.

Huvel also casted [Paralyse] on the prince just in case he would try to run. But the prince was so surprised at the turn of events that he was frozen in place. So, Huvel easily tied the hands of the prince at his back.

"Sir Frans!! Help me!" The prince came back to his sense after a short while and called out to the knight that was standing guard at the door. But to his despair, no reply came from outside.

"It seems he is already dead!" Huvel whispered into the prince ear to frighten him more. In fact, he just casted [Dark Shroud] around them so noises from inside could not leave.

"What are you doing, Lord Huvel?!" The prince shouted; his face was red with anger. "Are you trying to rebel?!"

"Rebel?" Huvel rubbed his chin; his green eyes seemed to have an eerie glow. "No, I guess not. I just wanted Your Highness to explain me what you want from me and what you did to Laurent Armon."

The prince back was cold with sweat but he maintained his princely image. "Huh?! Just for that courtesan, you offend a royal?! What is he to you? More importantly, why do I feel weak. What did you do to me?!"

"What is he to me? He is essential for me. Since you killed him, you have to take his place!" Huvel got close to the prince and brush his hair with his slender fingers.

"Take his place? Just to sell some potions?" The prince was confused.

"Potions? I don't care some potions. I just like him. I love having him on my bed."

"Huh? What?"

"Huhuhu! Your Highness, have you not heard my scandals before coming here?"

"Your scandals? You mean … you doing it with men? Are… aren't they just rumours?!"

"Rumours or not, I can prove that to you!"

"NO… NO!! I believe! I believe you! There is no need to prove."

"Hmm… It's good if you believe. Let's do it then!"
