Chapter 100: The Soon to be Satans

Londinium, Britain

November 12th, 1152

"How do you know my name?"

Serafall asked Erik. She had gotten famous inside the Underworld during the last years but Erik was a human, and humans should not have knowledge of the Underworld.

"I told you earlier that I interrogated those misbehaving Devils, did you forget?"

Erik replied without a problem to Serafall, who looked to the side to avoid looking at Erik's face. He could swear that there was a very light shade of pink on her cheeks. To avoid more embarrassment on her part, Serafall took another cookie and started to nibble on it. Erik smiled internally at that.

'Yeah, she is still there.'

Erik thought about the bubbly personality of the future Satan in front of him.

"If I'm not a prisoner, why am I being kept as one?"

Serafall Sitri mumbled while still nibbling on the cookie. Erik raised an eyebrow at that question and decided to tease the Devil a little more.

"You mean to tell me that prisoners in the Underworld drink tea and eat cookies with their captors?"

Erik asked Serafall with amusement written all over his face. Serafall froze at that question. She looked at the cookie in her hand and to the cup of tea over the low table and decided to not answer Erik's question, ignoring it like it was never asked in the first place.

"Can I go then?"

Serafall Sitri asked Erik, who nodded his head.

"Yes, you can."

Erik replied to Serafall, snapped his fingers for theatrics, and sent a mental command to his micro monsters inside Serafall to 'release' her.

*snap*

Serafall then felt something change inside her. It was her devil's energy. She could feel it again.

"You can transport whenever you want. Just behave yourself."

Erik said to Serafall, who got up from her armchair and walked over to the side. She raised her hand and flexed it while controlling a little of her magic to verify his claim. Serafall looked back to Erik and then to her hand. The idea of attacking him passed by her head, but she threw it away very quickly.

"How do I contact you?"

Serafall asked Erik. A person as strong as him who was seeming to defend an area was always a good contact to have. Erik smirked internally at that question and decided to play a little prank on Serafall. Not that she or anyone would know the meaning of it but he would, and that was what he wanted.

"It's very simple. When you are alone, repeat my name three times while looking at a mirror and I will 'appear' to you."

Erik said to Serafall and had to exert all his will to not start laughing. He was really pulling a 'Bloody Mary' over a future Satan. Serafall strangely looked at him but choose not to comment anymore and just nodded her head. She then started to charge a transportation magic circle and it appeared under her feet in an ice blue color. With the transportation magic circle fully charged, Serafall looked at Erik the last time,

"Bye, then."

Serafall said, but one could see a mischievous glint in her eyes. Like one of the children who was going to make something naughty.

"Goodbye, Serafall."

Erik replied to Serafall and watched as the she-Devil activated the magic circle and, with a quick pull in her magic, summoned the pot with the rest of the cookies to her hands, disappearing in the middle of motes of blue light with a look of pure glee on her face.

Erik watched all that with an amused look on his face and chuckled when she was gone at the childish behavior that the she-Devil showed. Erik waved his hand and made everything that he had conjured and summoned disappear back to where it had come from. Erik then left the place in his transportation magic circle after setting up timed wards to erase his magical signature. Even after reaching the level of strength that he had now, Erik was still a little paranoid with people peeping after him. He could do that to others, but others couldn't do that to him, or Selena. After Erik disappeared in motes of blue light from his transportation magic circle, a white fire started to burn anything left behind, be it the lingering magic from him and Serafall, or the body of the Devil that was being tortured by Serafall.

Lilith City, Underworld

November 12th, 1152

Serafall was back to the Underworld. Under her arm was a ceramic pot full of cookies from where, from time to time, she would retrieve a cook from it to munch. This would not be a problem at all if not for the place where she was right now. Sitting around her, watching Serafall as she munched a cookie, was three other Devils. They were Sirzechs Gremory, Ajuka Astaroth, and Falbium Glasya-Labolas.

"Continuing with the agenda, the Elder's Council want to-"

*crunch*

Sirzechs Gremory started saying but was interrupted, by the nth time, by the sound of a cookie being eaten. He looked at Serafall Sitri at the corner of his eyes and tried to continue talking.

"The Elder's Council want to give us the tit-"

*crunch*

Tried being the word. The sound of a cookie being eaten again interrupted the red-head Devil. He sighed in defeat at that.

*sigh*

"Serafall, do you have to eat right now? In the middle of the meeting?"

Sirzechs Gremory said to his friend. Serafall just finished eating the cookie that she had in her hand and looked at Sirzechs.

"But they are so good!"

Serafall Sitri said, replying to the red-head Devil and making the other two in the meeting room chuckle.

"If they are so good, why are you eating them all now? Wouldn't be better to eat them at home while relaxing?"

Sirzechs said to try to finish their meeting. Serafall eyes shone at that and she nodded her head while putting the cookie pot away.

"Where did you get that anyway? I never saw ones like that being sold in the Underworld."

Ajuka Astaroth asked Serafall. Sirzechs Gremory's eyes rolled inside his head at that. It seemed that the meeting would not end as soon as he wanted to.

"I got it after doing my mission in the Human World. Took it from a guy after he defeated me and let me go."

Serafall said nonchalantly like being defeated was a normal thing. The other three Devils got alert at that. Serafall was one of the strongest Devil's in the Underworld, and she was defeated and let go? They needed to dig more at that. Any being that could defeat Serafall Sitri could mean a threat to the Underworld.

"Tell us more, Serafall. Better saying, tell us everything about your mission in the Human World."

Ajuka Astaroth said, with Sirzechs Gremory and Falbium Glasya-Labolas nodding their heads, agreeing with him.

Serafall then started the 'report' of her mission in the Human World. She told then how she and her group decided to separate to cover a greater area and she got to go to Britain, how she found one of the targets after some searching, how he tried to flee and she pursued him, how she subdued him and started her interrogation. Jus to have the interrogated killed right in front of her.

"... I then lost all the strength and sense from under my neck. I couldn't even feel my magic and was a sitting duck to anyone that could hold a pointy or sharp object. I think… for the first time in a while I felt vulnerable."

Serafall Sitri said to her Devil friends, who were hearing her tale with rapt attention.

"And them, what happened after he got you?"

Sirzechs Gremory asked wanting to know what had happened after.

"He then made me float in the air with the use of magic and then…"

Serafall said while building tension.

"And then…?"

Ajuka Astaroth said, wanting Serafall to continue her tale.

"He then put me into a comfortable armchair and make me calm down."

Serafall said while fishing another cookie from the pot and starting to eat it. The other three Devils in the room were not expecting that.

"He floated you to a comfortable armchair…"

Falbium Glasya-Labolas started.

"... And made you calm down?"

Sirzechs Gremory finished saying and Serafall nodded with her head while continuing to much her cookie.

"Please, Serafall. Explain this better to us."

Ajuka Astaroth asked. Serafall Sitri nodded with her head again.

"Okay~. Well, you see, when I started to interrogate the target I ended up losing my temper and let my energy go loose, starting a snowstorm in the middle of the city of Londinium. It was them that this human came from nowhere, killed the Devil that I was interrogating, and subdued me before I could react or do anything."

Serafall said.

"He then started to serve him tea while we talked. He forced me to calm down with some sort of magic and then I realized that I almost killed an entire city by transforming it into a giant cube of ice."

Serafall said and finished munching her cookie, frowning soon after. These cookies were lasting too little in her opinion.

"He then gave me back my movement and served me some tea. And it was a good one too. He said that he had grown it in his place."

Serafall finished saying.

"What more did he say to you?"

Ajuka Astaroth asked. Serafall got in a 'thinking pose' before replying.

"Hmm… That the Devil that I was interrogating was telling me the truth and that his friends were probably all dead already."

Serafall said and fished another cookie from the ceramic pot.

"Dead?"

Sirzechs Gremory said in an asking tone.

"Yes. He said that he had been killing all the misbehaving Devils that he had found."

Serafall replied while munching into her new cookie.

"He has been killing the misbehaving Devils?"

Sirzechs Gremory asked again like he was some kind of broken record.

"Yes, that's what he said. He killed the ones that turned out to be naughty. The ones who killed, robbed, raped, etc. Basically, the Old Satans' lot, you know? The ones who just wanted to continue living their lives in peace, away from the war, he did nothing against."

Serafall said again while finishing her cookie.

"Did he give you a name?"

Ajuka Astaroth asked Serafall, who nodded her head.

"Yes. He introduced himself as Erik."

Serafall said.

"Erik? A Nordic? I don't know of any 'Erik' in the Nordic faction."

Ajuka Astaroth said again. He had some knowledge of the important and strong people in the other pantheons but did not know of anyone called 'Erik'. And someone with enough strength to subdue Serafall was bound to be famous. At least that was the logical thing in Ajuka's head.

"I thought so too. He looked like a Nordic warrior, but he said to me that he was not part of any faction, even if his roots came from the Nordic pantheon."

Serafall said, replying with the little that she had got about the man.

"A demi-god?"

Falbium Glasya-Labolas asked. It was a well-known fact that the male gods from most pantheons tended to sleep with 'mortals' and sire demi-god children. The ones that managed to survive to adulthood became powerful people.

"No, he was totally human."

Serafall replyed.

"A strong human called Erik…"

Ajuka Astaroth mumbled while thinking. After a time he talked again.

"There was one around a hundred years ago. A wizard called Erik Ravenclaw. He married into the Ravenclaw wizarding family and was recognized as strong as Merlin by all wizards. His wife, one Selena Ravenclaw, was not weak too. The talk was that she had surpassed her mother, Rowena Ravenclaw, in feats of magic before she reached the age of forty. The last I heard about them was around ninety years ago when a group of Vampires tried to take over the school that they own with an army of around five thousand undead. He wiped the entire army of undead with a single fire spell while his wife wiped the ground with the five Vampires. Needless to say that the Vampires were not spared."

Ajuka Astaroth said, telling the other devils what he knew about this Erik Ravenclaw.

"But he would be what? A hundred and fifty years old? The Erik that I met didn't look past his twenty-five. No human can live that long without showing any signs of aging."

Serafall Sitri said.

"Hmm. True… Unless he is not Human anymore?"

Falbium Glasya-Labolas said, putting on the table that possibility.
