A plan

It is breaktime and although it's still bright, there were a gathering in the sky.

I closed my eyes in the light and had that dream that is more like a wish – that I am in a wheat field somewhere far away from here:

There is a house in the distance where I live. It used to be a small house with one floor, but this time it seemed a little bigger. Apart from that, there isn't a trace of humanity just wide-open fields with me there, in the midst of it. It's so simple, and I can't discern any meaning behind it, so why do I want to see it over and over again?

Suddenly, I felt something tugging on my shirt, I turned to see who it is, and the illusion faded. "Psst… Linda?" Steph looked at me with concern, but still smiled as always. Can this girl not stop smiling? Where did she some from anyway? "You're not doing anything, are you?"

I shook my head. She clearly knew that I wasn't doing anything – she probably watched me for a while before a while before reviling herself.

"Come with me then, I need your help with something." Steph grabbed my hand and pulled me along. "I've a potential new member for our club."

Steph came to a stop beside an empty corner and let go of my hand. I stood there waiting for instructions. What did she need me for? With that kind of personality, she could get almost anyone in class to join her club – what did she need me for?

"Put this in your ear." Steph handed me an earpiece. I took it out of hand and put it in. Suddenly, a recording began to play.

"Come on, May, give us a little bit."

"Yeah, don't we help you out and all?"

I recognized the two voices – it is from the twins.

"I-I already gave you guy a lot. P-please, I w-worked very hard."

"Are you saying we haven't?"

"We protect you. This is the least you can give us in return."

"A-alright, lust a bit more."

Steph paused the video and took back the earpiece and puts it back into her pocket. She then takes out a packet of chocolate sticks and breaks, snaps one with her teeth. "I think you get what's going."

I nodded. I got that there were people that were like that and that got pushed over, but what did that have to do with me?

"You can stop that kind of thing from happening."

Steph took another snap. What do you mean? I don't understand.

"That time when we first met, you said you wouldn't be my friend. You were able to see that there is something wrong with how I behaved and how these people are behaving. You noticed something, and that's what I want to know. If we find out what that is, then we can help that girl." Steph reached out a chocolate stick towards me. "I can't do this without you."
