"I Emma DRACKSON, hereby, reject you, Derek, Alpha of the Blue Moon's Pack as my mate." Derek's eyes twitched, and his fists balled, but Emma was far from being done.

 "Don't ever search for me for whatever reason. I never want to see you again all the days of my life. If I ever find any of your people spying on me, I will kill them, or better, I will burn them alive. Do you understand what I just said?" She asked when she was done. But Derek was mute. 

Melvina tried talking, but Emma shut her up with a wave of her hand." I'm disappointed in you, Melvina. So, keep shut." She stated in anger, not minding the murmurings from the crowd.  She knew why, but she didn't care. Melvina wasn't her Luna.

Another mystery to solve. Derek thought, letting out a sigh. Wasn't there anything that was just clean cut, and devoid of mystery and complications concerning his mate? Everything about her was so shrouded.

He didn't know why that was so, but he was beginning not to like it, even though he could obviously see that it was for the benefit of them all.

If things were clear cut, wouldn't she have been kidnapped or worse killed by those evil villains?

But why hadn't Tempest written Emma's address in the paper? Was that also part of keeping her safe, should in case the maid was bought over like the matron that Leonarya had paid to hand over Freya?

How had Leonarya known that Freya would be at the orphanage? Derek rubbed his forehead with his thumb tiredly, he could feel a headache coming on as a result of thinking and trying to find answers to these questions.
