Holy Scotland 3

Yarden coughed and had to immediately cup his mouth to stop flames from spilling out.

He failed. The sheer amount that spread out over his hand spread out in a wave large enough to consume a person whole.

It was a good thing he was flying through the air with his newly obtained wings, otherwise some poor bastard would have probably gotten burnt out of existence by dragon fire.

Or rather, Holy Dragon fire.

This really was as difficult as he thought it would. Even with him being a true blue Scotsman.

'You decided to go ahead and sacrifice your heart and lungs to me,' Vritra snorted, 'Not exactly as simple as an arm, not when one pumps blood containing divinity through your body and the other generates dragon fire.'

Yarden grimaced as he soared through the air towards Kuoh Academy the very next day after becoming a devil and meeting Irina and Xenovia. 'It seemed like a good idea at the time.' he replied.

It wasn't like anyone would be able to see when two of his organs went from dragon aspect to full on dragon.

As it was. He would have probably been better just giving up his arm and just covering it up so nobody noticed. For now, he had to deal with not only the power of his holy flames being enhanced by his new growth in power and enhanced by dragon fire, but the fact that dragons were magic incarnate and as such, even simply breathing wrong was enough to trigger an eruption of fire from within his chest.

At the very least, working on the devil side of magic to get a grasp of it through the night helped deal with it a bit. It was much easier to manage the less magic power he had.

Even if it took absolutely ages to drain his reserve of magic power now with how absurd it had grown. It had jumped up quite a lot further beyond that of his magic power from when he was initially turned into Serafall's Queen.

Thankfully, he remembered enough of how Akeno taught Issei and Asia how to use Devil Magic that it was simple enough to get a hang of it. It really was very easy.

There seemed to be a misnomer on saying it was magic of imagination though. From what he gathered, it was more of a magic that could form spells over time taking the form of a spell in the mind.

That did not mean one could just casually create new spells on a whim or wave their hand and conjure every element or warp reality.

Technically, it really was imagination magic. If only to a much more minor degree than the name and explanation Akeno gave Issei and Asia implied.

Even working all night, he was unable to do anything truly flashy with the devils magic he had gained beyond forming his raw magic the same way Issei and Asia learned initially.

Not that it was a bad thing. Being able to fire a beam of raw energy was badass in of itself.

He couldn't wait until Vritra was done recreating his signature abilities. Once he did, with Absorption Line he'd be able to drain the excess magic power out of himself and into another.

Granted, he didn't have anyone to do it with currently. But that would change, fast. At least if he had anything to say about it.

'It won't take long, I'm focusing fully on Absorption line and at this rate it will only take a few days,' Vritra replied, 'Though if you get close enough to this Saji Genshirou and I take back my fragment, it should have the full template of the spell and I may be able to finish it by tonight, especially with the power increase I will gain from reclaiming my lost power.'

Yeah, yeah. Yarden mentally waved the dark dragon king off. That was the reason why he was heading to Kuoh Academy. He'd left Grian back at the hotel, so the huge and hefty holy power wouldn't throb all over the other devils at the school.

That way, he should be able to kick around at the school for the day and wait. If he remembered right, Irina and Xenovia would meet with Rias and her peerage the day after meeting Sona. They would fight Issei and Kiba, win and go on their way and Issei alongside Koneko would drag along Saji to find them and then request to help them in return for destroying one of the Excalibur shards.

He was an old hand at using his power, so he knew how to suppress it to keep out of sight. And even if he didn't, he doubted any of them would really have too much problems with the queen of a Satan kicking around their turf for a bit.

And if he was lucky, he could just 'bump' into Saji and they could get a hold of the part of Vritra's soul within his Sacred Gear without much issue and early in the day and shave off some extra time on getting Absorption Line for himself.

Not long later he found himself soaring above the huge, once female only Japanese School and let his wings retract into his back.

He fell over a hundred feet out of the air to land casually on the roof of the school, atop the balls of his feet, absorbing most of his impact with his feet to stop from damaging the roof at all.

He made his way over to the railing to lean over and look over the school yard, and as he did he lifted his arm to look at the watch on his wrist, pure Scottish platinum of course, "Eleven in the morning," Yarden sneered in disgust. What true Scotsman got up at this ungodly time when having no school or work to go to? "It'll do I suppose."

He pushed up off of the railing and made his way over to the door, grasping the handle and pulling.

It did not budge. He tried again, and once again it did not budge. It seemed someone had locked it.

Yarden snorted, as if a mere door could impede the path of the first son of Scotland. He tightened his grip and pulled.

The entire door frame came out right out of its frame and he held it aloft in the air as if it were a feather, "...Oops?" he scratched the back of his head sheepishly.

He only meant to pull out the doorknob to unlock it.

He stared at it for a moment before casually tossing it over his head into the air where it crashed into the concrete floor of the school roof, "Well, it's what it deserves." he shrugged and made his way inside to find something to do to pass the time.

It was a mere Japanese Door after all. Things may have been different if it were of a more sturdy, Scottish descent.

He paused as he made it to the stairs inside, 'Now that I think about it, the door and frame held up pretty well, the wall didn't didn't though.' he mused.

Perhaps the door had some Scottish in it after all?

He turned and before he made his way down the stairs, Yarden gave the door a simple nod of respect.
