With those words echoing in my head, i looked the old man in the eyes and said,
"Thank you."
I turned away, imagining walking away from each and every person in the village. But they were happy to see me off, they all had massive smiles on their faces, and the old man was right alongside everyone else. I walked out of the tent and barked orders,
"Do what you plan to do… I'm going out.." I said, my voice stricken with grief.
Storm and Diane slowly walked in their own directions, to do their own things. I walked out towards the woods where I trained every day. To say goodbye to the child me, and hello to the new king.
As I walked I saw more people working to repair the houses and farms, hoping to get back what was there before the damage. I kept walking, once I entered the woods, I felt at peace. I kept walking and walking, images flashing in my mind, each one more gruesome than the last. My brain isn't keeping track of where I was, by the time I came into reality I was standing in front of a large beast with curly horns on its face. The beast's dark brown skin was matted and torn, its mouth was matted, cut up and covered in blood. Its eyes were red with bloodlust, but that didn't scare me. I knew this beast, its species name is the Xanadu Bobcat. I remembered the name because my father used to talk about how peacefully they lived near the village. I knew I had accidentally wandered into their den.
I could see the cavern where they lived behind the massive creature, i hadnt meant to but it was too late now. I looked the beast in the eyes, my gaze not wavering from the crimson red eyes of the Xanadu Bobcat. The beast and I stared into each other for what felt like an eternity. The beast towered over me, but I showed no fear. I couldn't move otherwise I'd get attacked. The beast and I were still in the most intense staring contest ever, my eyes began to cry, I knew I had to end this. I didn't want to use this but the speed of my Kon manipulation for anything other than my Intimidation is poor and definitely slower then this massive beast. I raised my left brow, summoning a massive amount of pulsing Kon. Moments after I released it the massive creature lowered its head, a sign of submission.
I stopped my Kon, acknowledging the beast's submission. I turned and began to walk away, but i realized that i shouldn't have made it submit either, only after i turned to start walking did i realize that i was their master now. I turned around and saw that the massive creature was indeed following me, the massive creature and her two cubs. I turned back around, my lips curling up in a smirk,
"You're not going to leave me be, are you?" I asked.
