Anothe problem; Another danger

Using the burner phone that I found in my mom’s room we were able to locate the last person which she had contacted. Fortunately, Herone knows the guy and where he currently lives because Chris used to be part of their pack but when his parents died, he left the pack.

While we were finding Chris’s house near the shore, I was busy texting Stefan who is doing another mission which is the deal that I made with Dominic. FYI, I didn’t force him to do this but he volunteered. Dominic wants to know where one of his men named Francis is currently being held by the werewolves. So, right now Stefan is at their compound doing the job while I’m here with Herone and my cousins.

Celestine Salvador:

Herone’s dad is on his way back to the compound.

Leave there now.

Stefan

Ok. Got it.

“Stop right there”

We all raise our hands when we heard a click from a gun. We slowly faced the guy and he looked so shocked when he saw us.

"Herone!?"

" Chris" Herone answered and both of their eyes turned green for a moment. I was relieved when Chris put down his gun.

Chris looked like a middle-aged man with a beard and mustache. He is wearing a gray shirt and khaki shorts.

“What do you need?” he asked, although he already put his gun down, I can still feel that he is not letting his guard down.

“We just need to talk to you,” Herone said calmly.

“Okay, but I’m going to talk to you only” Chris answered.

“Can we bring her as well? Since we’re going to ask you about her mother, Isabelle Salvador”

Chris turned to me and stared at me intently. “Okay”, he said then he walked out first.

“Don’t worry, we’ll be fine there” Herone assured Clark before we left.

We went inside his house and he told us to take a seat. I took out my mom’s burner phone and showed him the message she sent to him.

“My mom has been missing for almost three months and you were the last person she contacted before she got abducted.”

Chris looked shocked by the news; I’m guessing he didn’t know. He took the phone and read the messages.

“I just want to ask if the two of you met? Or why did she ask to see you?”

“Unfortunately, no, I was waiting for her in our meeting place but she didn’t come. I didn’t text her because that was our rule as long as she’s not texting me, I’m not going to text her”

“Why did she ask you to meet her?” this time it’s Herone who is asking.

“She’s my client. She was planning to enter the royal Realm and since I have access there because I know a witch who can make the portal as an entrance so she availed my service but the deal was off when she didn’t come to our meeting place” Chris explained.

“Did she tell you why she needed to go to the Royal Realm?” I asked but Chris shook his head in response.

While we were in the middle of our conversation, suddenly the ground started shaking. We all run outside and Clark held me when I almost fell to the ground. When it slowly stopped shaking, Clark squatted to feel the ground.

"I don't think it's an earthquake by a natural cause because I can sense some magic on the ground”

“Clark, what is going on?”

Clark was walking too fast then he opened the backseat door for me and we went inside. When all are already in the car,

Clark started driving.

“I’ll go to the compound first to check if they’re okay there”

When I heard that I immediately texted Stefan, asking him if he is already out of the compound.

"Clark, why did you say that the earthquake has something to do about magic?” I asked while we were on our way back home.

“I’m not yet sure about it but Faira is already headed to the coven to check what is happening. I feel like something wrong is happening, like someone or a group of people are trying to do a powerful ritual”

I sigh because it looks like we have another problem again.

When we arrived home, Clark quickly took some of his things and he told me not to leave the house because it was not safe. When he left, I waited for a few minutes before I sneak out of the house but I can’t it seems like there is a barrier preventing me to leave. That’s when I realized that Clark put a spell.

Great.

I can’t do anything so I just pulled out my phone and contacted Stefan.

To: STEFAN

I'm stuck here in the house, there's some stupid spell and I can't get the hell out. Send help.

I waited for minutes for his reply but he didn’t respond so I just called Clark directly while walking towards the kitchen

since there is a door there as well.

[ Hello? Is there any problem? ]

"Clark, what is wrong with you? A spell really?"

I can’t help myself but feel frustrated.

[ Celine what are you talking about? ]

I halted when he sound confused about what I said. Didn’t they put a spell here so that I couldn’t leave?

“I can’t leave the house”

When I finally get into the door, I turned the doorknob, hoping I could finally get out.

[ Celine, I think you’re mistaken. We didn’t put any spell for you to be locked there ]

I stopped before I could open the door.

[ Celine ?? ]

My heart started to beat fast when I saw the doorknob moving and as the door slowly opened, I moved a step back.

Why do I have a bad feeling about this?

Run

I rushed before the door finally opened; barely a few steps away, I heard words in another language and suddenly I became dizzy.

I wake up in an unfamiliar place. I looked around and this place is quite empty, there is only light above me nothing else.

There is no window in this room as well. I feel like I was lying on a steel table. When I heard footsteps going into this room, I immediately closed my eyes.

I heard the door opening and I felt their presence coming closer to me.

“Let’s inject another serum to make sure she won’t wake up until we finished getting enough blood from her”

When I feel that they are now injecting it into me, I feel the urge to escape.

I opened my eyes and found myself standing on the side of the room. I was startled when the man in front of me turned to face me, but he pretended he hadn't noticed me at all. I tried to touch him but nothing happened so I went closer to what they were looking at and I was frozen at my feet to see my unconscious body lying on that steel table and there were tubes inserted into both of my arms where my blood is flowing.

"What is her blood for?” the girl who was standing beside me asked.

“Stop asking questions and just do your job. What is important here is that we follow our deal and that will help us survive in this coming war. “

The guy answered. I noticed that they were all wearing black capes with hoods. After they collected my blood they left the room and I decided to follow them so I would know where they will bring it but when I went out of the door, the surroundings changed. I’m now in the middle of the forest.

"Celestineee !!"

"Mom?"

That was my mom’s voice. I immediately run to find where the voice is coming from.

"Celestinee!!"

I looked at the left side where I can hear the voice closer and while running towards it, I saw a word on the ground. My instinct says to take it, so I did.

I stopped when I saw a woman with his back facing me and wearing a white long dress and barefoot. She slowly turned around and gave me a faint smile.

I was about to come near to her then I was suddenly surrounded by werewolves and vampires. I held firmly to my sword and prepared myself.

They rushed toward me and I was shocked to see that I could keep up with their speed. I jumped and aimed the sword precisely at my opponent's neck so that it was cut and blood splattered on my face. When I fell, I immediately placed the sword behind me and it hit another opponent. I turned to face him and pressed the stab of the sword into his stomach. He vomited blood and there I drew the sword and fought again.

"Aaaaaaahhhh!!"

I will make you all rot in hell !!!!

Someone pulled me and tried to attack me but I hit him in the face with the handle of the sword so he backed away and his nose bled. He quickly disappeared in front of me but I could feel him so when he was about to attack, I stabbed him in the back and kicked him causing him to fall. I stared at him coldly as he lay on the floor, trying to keep the sword from going into his chest, but I didn't hesitate and finally buried the sword.

I looked around and couldn’t believe I had knocked them all down. I also looked at myself full of blood, especially my hand. I immediately looked up when I remembered my mother.

"Mom--"

I came to a halt when I noticed she was in front of me. I was going to approach her, but she took a step back. She looked around, then back at me as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Mom, it's me, Celestine".

"Look at you, you're not my daughter!"

"No Mom, I was just trying to save---"

I was shaking when I finally realized what I did. Before I could explain myself my mom already disappeared.

"Moom!!!"

"Celine??"

"Is that Celine? Move !"

"Is she alive?"

"Let’s bring her to the hospital!"
