Secret Identity

Despite the slightly improved work schedule on Ignatius’ side for a while, the peacefulness did not last long. The mafia boss might not speak much about his night business, but his time with his favourite writer became sparse. Outings were fewer, questions received shorter answers, and they barely saw each other for meals, even if Ignatius was around. Leona was advised to write in her room instead of his office because he had been getting increased business calls. The night business dress code, whenever he left, urgently bothered Leona as the tense atmosphere was suffocating. Yet, never once had Ignatius yelled at her or treated her poorly despite his stress. He grew colder but not abusive, a relief in her heart.
