Lost

[The day that Takahashi Mito lost Dr Eric's inheritance.]

7 pm

Takahashi Mito was slowly walking towards the bus stop once again.

It was the same bus stop where he had waited for his countryside bus to arrive a few hours ago.

After accepting his defeat to the God. Mito went to look for a place to live, aka a place to rent.

He didn't find one.

He went to find some place in the outskirts of the city only to find it lather with holes and destruction that happened the previous night. {Refers to Chapter 2 and 3}

After that he returned to the bus stop by foot as he wasn't in the mood of traveling by the bus.

The recent kidnapping of the little girl had spread to the whole area and he could see some police cars patrolling the area.

"So she still hasn't been found huh? Not my problem. Let's just go to eat somewhere and then find a place to sleep tonight. I will find what to do with my life tomorrow."

Takahashi Mito got up from the metal bench and went to eat at the second restuarant that he previously ate from.

On his way to the second restuarant, he saw that the small restuarant with the chef that was branded as Evil soul was surrounded by mirror monsters.

'Did all of them came here? Why?'

Takahashi Mito thought while looking at the horde of mirror monsters outside the small restuarant and chose to suppress his curiosity and left that place.

"I will look at that later on."

He went to eat and find a hotel to spend the night.

Two hours later.

Takahashi Mito had already eaten his dinner and had found a place to sleep. A community center for the old people and orphans.

Mainly because it was free.

He layed down on his bed but was unable to sleep no matter how hard he tried.

Since he had nothing to do and lots of free time, he decided to check the reason for the mirror monsters gathering.

"Do the mirror monsters like to stay around evil people? There were a few of them present near Dr Eric, me and now that Evil Soul Restuarant owner?"

"That would be interesting concept, if it is true."

Mito pondered while walking to the restaurant.

Soon he reached the restaurant and it was closed.

He looked at the closed tag that was stated on the whiteboard beside the gate.

Then he looked at the mirror monsters that had gone from the place.

"Weird. What happened in the past hour that made them go away? Should I trespass and check?"

*Hmph*

"I can always use the mirror world at times like these. I can see what is happening from that side and since the mirror monsters are not present right now, I don't need to transform for now."

Mito entered the mirror world through the reflective surface of the whiteboard.

The moment he entered the mirror world, his Extrasensory Perception kicked into full action.

His senses spread more than 5 kilometres as vile emotions and foul stench of the mirror world greeted him.

His Extrasensory perception was something that he both seemed to love and hate at the same time.

In the actual world, his Extrasensory perception can shows him the true side of the person and the things happening in the mirror world by any mirror or reflecting surface along with some minor level of emotions. He loved that.

In the Mirror world, it increased to God like level, he could sense everything that resided in the vicinity of his Extrasensory perception.

He sensed all the negative emotions and could somehow smell it as well.

And truth be told, negative emotions were not that pleasent to get a wiff off.

It was vile and disgusting. He hated Extrasensory perception for that.

As for why it is being mentioned. Takahashi Mito was feeling it.

An extremely disgusting and incorrigible smell that he was nearly unable to contain the food in his stomach.

Gone were the curiosity that he came for. His perception showed something that he didn't want to accept.

Many of us have watched some crime related news or some people losing everything on the TV and all.

Most of all feel empathy or pity for the people that experienced something tragic, except the empathy and pity felt for the people on the TV is far less than the empathy or pain that we feel for a loss of a loved one.

There is one main reason for that, the sad happenings shown in the media and TV happen away from us.

While the misery and the sufferings of our loved ones often happens near us.

So does distance plays a part on how much you feel?

The answer varies depending on the person.

Now let's take a look at what kind of person Takahashi Mito was shown till now.

He is eccentric, selfish, foolish, heartless, rational and most of all, likes to avoid trouble.

But there is a side to him that many know but still chose to ignore.

He had the will to wipe out an entire civilisation down to the last person all for the sake of his country (lie) and to avenge his parents (unknown) and because he was foolish enough to be used by the others(true).

He is ruthless and he is irrational at moments where his mental limits cross a certain point.

And adding to the fact that he had been mentally toyed in the past 48 hours.

He snapped.

As for why he did, he saw the Restaurant owner with an Evil Soul desecrating the little girl that threw a candy at him.

Her arms were mangled and she wasn't showing in his Extrasensory perception.

She was dead. Most possibly due to torture.

Takahashi Mito, or should we say, he, wasn't heartless enough to see a sight like that and not become angry.

More so when his state of mind wasn't perfect.

He silently walked towards the storage area where the owner was.

{Anything that has reflective properties could be use as a medium to travel between the actual and the mirror world. Anything could be transferred to the actual to the mirror world}

"Wasn't that right? I am sure that it stated like that somewhere."

Takahashi Mito started to speak as reached the cold storage area from the house.

He was still inside the mirror world and watching the owner through the glass panels in the cold storage area.

"I can't kill but they can, right?"

Mito spoke as he sensed the mirror monsters that were madly running towards his direction.

"Not here though, her body is still here. Need to attract his attention. Need to kill him somewhere else."

Takahashi Mito returned towards the small service area of the restaurant and exited the mirror world. He gently picked some ceramic plates and viciously threw them on the ground.

*Crack crack💥.*

*Crack crack*

Loud enough to bring the owner's attention.

The owner quickly dressed himself and picked a shotgun that was hung on his wall as he cautiously went towards the kitchen.

When he reached the kitchen, he found no one except some broken plates.

He carefully looked everywhere and when he turned around, he was torn to pieces by a mirror monster that was dropped off by Mito.

"An easy death?"

Mito mumbled as he looked at the remnants of the body of the owner.

He then felt the goey substance oozing out of the owner and being forcefully dragged to the mirror world where it was being slowly devoured by the mirror monsters.

"So that's why they were all gathered huh?"

He remembered the gathering of the mirror monsters a few hours ago and couldn't help but shiver at his thoughts.

"How can this be a doing of a God? This is plain evil. To not be even allowed peace after death?"

"I really need to sleep."

Takahashi Mito, after an intense day which is going to traumatize him for a part of his life, finally decided to go sleep at the community center for the old people and orphans and left the small restuarant with all the blood and the dismembered parts of the owner lying on the floor.

He was mentally tired in the few minutes he was there that he didn't even check if the restuarant has a CCTV or something.

He went to sleep as his mind wasn't able to register the events that perspire in front of him.

'I could have stopped it.'

A single thought flashed by his mind but was soon drowned by his other thoughts.
