Chapter 4: Treating The Cat

__Somewhere in Shinwa territory___

Somewhere in korea.. You can see a tower made for signals. An old man appeared out of thin air, Holding a smartphone.

The old man is wearing fancy clothes. It's a red suit with an orange stripe a white hair and a wrinkly face.

He looks at the phone, the phone has a map on it.. And must be a tracking device.

"That's weird." He said, While the wind swoosh "Why can't this device track the sample I have planted" He sighed "Just an hour ago it showed that it was around this area, is it broken?"

His hands trembled and the phone cracked. "Do I really need to awaken the seal within the sample of my ability?" 'Shit, I didn't want to use my powers to avoid the pursuers I guess there is no other choice"

He closed his eyes and said "I don't want to miss this opportunity, The experiment turned to a success after all" He opened his eyes and his eyes turned red, And a black and red aura appeared covering his whole body "Where are you? Hurry up and come back to me!" he said

______In Jiwoo House__________

Jiwoo was treating the cat that we defeated.

Jiwoo wipes his head while sweating "Here some water" Dal said he was a tall and muscular guy, He has red hair that looks bloody red. He wears a black glove and is currently in his school uniform..

____Dal's Pov________

I floated the cup of water through Jiwoo "Thank's hyung" "Don't worry about it, So how was the cat?" I ask examining the now wrapped in bondage cat.

"I did as much as I could, But do you think it's okay?" He said, looking at the cat.

I sighed "Of course he is, You treated Sir. Kayden after all" I point at the yellow cat sitting on the couch.

"Heh, Enough of the flatter kid, I told you he was fine" said by the cat "It's going through shock, but other than that he's fine." He said while staring at the cat.

"Still, getting checked to the vet would be better" Jiwoo said sheepishly.

I patted his back and said "Don't let yourself down" I smiled "And also it's dangerous to let the cat go somewhere he might wake up and go on a rampage."

Kayden nodded in agreement "The kid's right, What if it wakes up? What if you get him to the vet and he wakes up? What will you do?"

Jiwoo frowned "I know.. But still.."

"It's fine, Stop nagging, It'll be okay." Kayden sighed "You can't do anything anyways if something goes wrong"

Jiwoo replied "Yes sir.." Sweating.

I float all the first aid that is scattered and put them all in the box where we put the first aid.

'To think that a cat turned into a monster like that.. Not only did it change size, it was physically stronger as well.' Kayden thought while staring at the cat. 'It is not an ability that can be found in a cat, It's like it awakened..'

"Excuse me Sir Kayden." I said sitting at the couch next to him lifting him and putting him on my stomach, He doesn't seem to mind it now.

"Sir Kayden.." Jiwoo said shyly

"What is it?" Kayden said.

"I'm not sure, How to say this…"

Kayden glared at Jiwoo while I petted him. "Stop the pet!" He turned around and looked at me. "You enjoyed it right? So let me do this"

He sighed 'These kids really are frustrating sometimes' He thought while glaring at Jiwoo "What in the world are you telling me?"

"The thing! The thing that I did while I'm fighting the cat?" He explained

"The thing?" Kayden ask confused

"Oh.. He must be talking about his powers" I pet him "I forgot to tell you Sir Kayden, He doesn't want anyone to know about it."

I told him

Jiwoo nodded at me and said "Yes! Like what Hyung said.. Please don't tell anyone I'm begging you.." He said with a puppy eyes

Kayden turned on me and said "What's up with him?" I shrugged

"Hey kid, Who do you think I am?" He asked Jiwoo "Do you think I go around telling people my Awakened abilities?"

I listened to their conversation "Awakened abilities?" Jiwoo asked with interest. "What's that?"

Kayden raised his eyebrows and turned around to look at me and Jiwoo with disbelief "You two don't even know what an awakened ability is? Even with you being Awakened?"

I shrugged pretending to not know

"I'm awakened? What's that?" Jiwoo ask.

Kayden sighed "Do I need to really explain this?"

I raised my hand and said "Hmm.. I think I know the gist of what (Awakened) is, It's probably talking about our abilities, That we "Awakened" " I told Jiwoo.

"Hmmh Smart.. I get it, You two don't know that you two aren't awakened right?" Said Kayden

Jiwoo think and said.. "Hmmh I think I get it a little bit.." He raised his hand too and asked a question "So, You are telling me.. Mr. Kayden that I'm Awakened and My ability is speed?"

He sighed "Right. You are an awakened person that uses speed.. While Dal has telekinetic ability"

"T-then that means.. That there are others like us!" He said excitedly

"Yes, I told you that when we were kids.. I said that if there is me then there are others too right?" I sighed..

"S-sorry Hyung I forgot, it was a long time ago" he said embarrassed to forget what Hyung said.

I sighed and said "Don't worry about it."

"So there are other people with abilities like me?" Jiwoo ask.

"Of course" Kayden said "You are looking at one."

"What?" He said surprisingly "Mr. Kayden is awakened?"

"Yup" he said

"Wow"

Kayden sweats by how dumb this kid is. "Do you think that a normal person will change into this?" He pointed at himself. He noticed that there was a tear falling down on Jiwoo's face "Huh?".

I noticed too and ask "Why are you crying Jiwoo?" I floated a tissue text to me to Jiwoo, Jiwoo Picks it and wipe his tears.

"I always thought, That I'm not normal.. Even if Hyung is here I just can't get away by how people called me" Jiwoo said tears falling down his cheeks, And wipes it away

"Ah. So you and Dal only know your ability huh?" He said with pity.

"That's right, Jiwoo don't really share with anyone, So he ended up with no friends other than me, No one to talk to" I said with pity

"Well, I guess that's true. A person living a life without knowing that there are others is tough" He looked to the side

"So.." he wipes his tears "So, Awakened are like superheroes!"

"Uhh, I guess you could call them like that" Kayden said while me petting him "So depending on your ability, You can do different things as well, Your core ability is moving at high speed, But you might be able to do other things as well, While Dal's core is floating" Kayden explained "Over the years your ability gotten more powerful right?" He ask

Jiwoo nodded "Yep, Before I could use it for 2 seconds a day Hyung asked me to train too! So now I can use it 6-7 seconds a day!" He uses his hands to be like a number.

Kayden looks at him, not interested "That's it?" "I guess.. Since you don't use it that much" He sighed

"Do all Awakeners train their ability?" I ask while petting.

"Of course they are, Wouldn't more people want to be stronger?"

"Well, That makes sense, I guess"

"I kinda want to hide it tho" he looked to the other side.

"Well, You are a special cas-"

*Stomach growls*

"Oh, Yeah we haven't eaten yet since we got back" I said and turned to see the table that had toast in it, I floated it to us and gave Jiwoo a toast. "Here" as we are about to eat the toast another stomach growl was heard. We both looked at Kayden which made Kayden look away.

Jiwoo quickly ate the toast and stood up getting the cat food, He poured one on the plate and Kayden approached it.

"Mr. Kayden needs to eat too.." Jiwoo said while pouring cat food.

He stares at the food 'Unbelievable.. I need to eat cat food again'

I laughed "HAHA, You must be thinking about your pride as a man" I chuckled.

"Shut up kid! It's not like you know better!" He showed his claws

"Stopped laughing Hyung! Mr. Kayden is now a cat so Don't laugh" Jiwoo glares at me adorably.

I shrugged "Sure sure."

"Hurry up and dig in, I know it's cat food but please just force it down."

I floated another toast to Jiwoo and he grabbed it and ate it.

He stared at it for a good 10 seconds and sighed, I watched him munch the food while eating the toast.b'I guess I can't help but just eat this.. If I'm this hungry'

We ate our food in silence and a sudden energy is engulfing the house..

Me and Kayden noticed and looked where it was 'What is this energy? I didn't notice because my power is weak. It's spreading all around the house. This kind of energy is not normal.' He looked at me and I nodded.

The gray cat wakes up and growls, I prepared myself if it attacks again, My barrier didn't work maybe because I exhausted myself earlier on the fight, the cat leaps out from the window

"Huh?" Jiwoo and Kayden said surprised.

Jiwoo and Kayden stare "What the fuck was wrong with it?" Kayden ask.

"It must be because of the energy we felt earlier.. Like someone is controlling it with their energy.." I answered Kayden in a thinking pose.

"THE CAT RUN AWAYS" Jiwoo yells standing up.

"Stop yelling Jiwoo, It hurts my ear and we saw that, There's no way I could have missed" Kayden said he glared "I can't believe it got up quickly"

I notice that Jiwoo is preparing to get a cap "Where are you going?" I ask

"We have to find it! It'll be bad if it attack someone" he put the cap on his head.

"You're going again?" Kayden ask.

"Wait, Jiwoo let me get my hoodie first… I'll come with you"

I stood up from my seat and went to my room and got my hoodie. The hoodie was a typical type, It's black. I go downstairs and they are already in the doorway.

I noticed that Kayden was there too "You're going too Sir Kayden?"

"Yeah, I'm curious too why the cat was like that. Let's go!"
