A dance and Cards

Jake's pov

I was beginning to rethink the idea of hiring a date, the moment I saw who showed up at my apartment's lobby. She was the most unnatural woman I had ever seen for the lack of a better word. She was barely covered as she wore a tiny dress that barely covered her bottom, she had a blonde wig, and worst of all she wore a luminous green dress, her face was caked with too much makeup. she had abnormally big lips and breasts with a slender physique. Who dresses like that for a corporate event such as this one? I had paid handsomely for this girl to be my date for tonight so I was just going to bear the night with her.

When we arrived, the journalists came after me like hounds going for meat and I like prey wanted to run away but I couldn't so I posed for the cameras as they asked questions about why I was attending the same event as the woman who killed my father and I felt angry at their insistence so I just ignored them and dragged the bimbo beside me and entered hand in hand with her into the hotel. The décor was on another level but my attention was drawn to the only prettiest person in the room, at the podium. It was her. The woman after my own heart, Sabrina. It was a totally new feeling to see her after so long. Time stopped as I took in her appearance from head to toe. Minimal makeup that accentuated her cheeks and eyes, maroon lipstick that made her lips inviting and kissable. The dress hugged her in the right places, the gold embellishments brightened the skin around her collar bone and to her neck and I wanted to peck her skin with little sweet kisses. The dress held her boobs, butt, and hips so nicely like it was designed with her in mind. My undoing was the side slit, teasing yet modest exposing just the right amount of skin. As a man, my mind ran wild as to the things I could do to her without that dress but my jealousy struck and I wanted to be by her side and cover her with my coat so that no man would look at her. I wanted to be by her side so that no other man would dare to try seducing her tonight. I was driven away from my murderous thoughts when Paps approached her and she continued with the event. As I took my seat, I took a mental note of any man who looked at her with desire and was tempted to get close to her because they were going to have me to contend with.

As she came to sit down at our table, directly opposite me and I was furious at the way the man beside her was looking at her. Was she dating him? Not once did she lift her head to look at me and I knew she was restless from my peering gaze as she fidgeted with her fingers and phone or making small talk with this Dennis guy. When the food was brought and she moaned in appreciation upon tasting it, I was amused. I had missed this side of her that was excited by little things like good food. When Paps asked what I thought about the food, I made sure to reply while looking at her straight in the eye to assure her that I seriously, devotedly, badly wanted her. When she blushed, I knew she got my message.

She went back to the podium to announce it was time to dance. My heart leaped with joy when Paps suggested that me and her should take the first dance. It was all I wanted to do tonight when I saw her at the podium earlier tonight. As I passed to take her for a dance Paps whispered, "She is all yours if you play your cards right. You can thank me later." All I could do was nod in agreement. When I stood before her to ask for a dance and she took my hand with a nod, I knew I had made it in this life.
