CHAPTER ONE

AMARA POV

Diary: 3rd February

Todays the day.

I am finally leaving this house for the better.

College.

I wonder how it is there. Is it any different from high school?

I dont know, but hopefully it is.

Cant be bullied twice now, can I?

Hmm.

"Amara!!!!, Come down here now, we dont want you to be late for your first day at college, do we?" Moms scream loudly at the bottom of the stairs.

"Coming mama, give me a minute", I said, as I finished packing the last of my clothes neatly in my small get to go bag.

I quickly took my luggage and rushed downstairs, to where I met mom and dad eating breakfast on the dining table.

Dad kissed my forehead, and I proceeded to sit, to munch the lovely breakfast.

Am going to miss this place. I sighed at my thoughts.

"Ready pumpkin?" Dad said, as I responded with a nod and grabbed an apple.

We went outside, to the family car, that looks so rusty and very old.

What can I say, we are one broke motherfuckers.

I tossed my luggage into the boot and went over to take my sit on the passenger sit.

"Ready?" Dad said.

"All set", I said back.

The whole journey was exhausting, as we finally reached the college.

Welcome to Sydney Academy-College,

It read, as we parked the car into the prestigious college parking.

I was really amazed, never would have thought a college could look so breathtaking and flawless. I thought that was only seen in the movies, but I lied to myself.

We took out the luggage, and dad escorted me to the reception offices, to get my class schedule and dorm number.

After collecting that's all required, I headed down the left hall as instructed on the Map I was given, and finally spotted room 55.

I used the lockets I was given and unlocked to see what the room a-holds.

"Pretty room, for a pretty lady, huh pumpkin", Dad said, as we both entered and observed around it. They were a medium queen-sized bed right at the corner of the room, an in-suite bathroom to the right corner of the room, and a little study desk and wardrobe too.

I looked around, before finally signaling my dad that I would be starting to unpack soon.

"Bye sweetheart, be good and responsible like we've always raised you." Dad said, as he gave me one last kiss on my forehead.

"Yes papa, I'll be good as always. Tell mama I love her too", I said to dad.

He sighed, and finally took off.

Now here I was. Alone. In this amazing room. Of course, a few decorations would do, it's very plain as it is.

I started unpacking my luggage and placing everything where it should be.

I headed towards the shower, and immediately felt the hot water hit my skin. My muscles relaxing as I hummed a tune.

Finally drying off, I plopped my body onto the queen-sized bed, and thought of what I would do for the days to come. I wonder if Architecture is as good as it sounds. I pray I dont regret.

As my mind relaxed, I decided sleep should take over.
