Cheers to me

"Are you alright, sire?" another shadow guard asked.

Sighing to himself, Sion pinched the top of his nose with his gloved fingers before saying, "Yes, yes I'm fine. Don't worry. You can go back to your posts. I do not want to be disturbed."

"Okay, sire."

After that, peace and quiet returned. Save for the wreckage in the room there would be no evidence that Sion received a very strange guest that day.

He was still perplexed at the words that Roe said to him before he left.

'I shouldn't jeopardize my destiny or I could regret for a lifetime?'

'Just what did he mean by that?' Sion thought as he walked around the room before he threw it to the back of his mind and decided to focus on his present situation which was the wreckage in his room.

Crouching, he was about to sort out the good books from the damaged ones on the floor when he heard another knock on the door.

*Knock Knock*

"I thought I said that I do not want to be disturbed?"

"I'm sorry your highness. It's just that Miss Kiara's carriage is on its way over here right now."

'What did he say? Kiara? What was she doing here? I haven't called her.' Sion thought and with a snap of his fingers, the mess in the room was gone in a blink.

He wanted to preserve some of the undamaged books he acquired with great difficulty that was why he didn't use a spell but with Kiara on her way he didn't think twice before discarding everything.

'I will just get another set of books later.' He thought as he readied himself for Kiara's visit.

Exiting the white coloured room, Sion instructed the guard that was still waiting on him as he walked down the passage.

"Bring her into my study room when she arrives and tell the butler to prepare some tea and snacks too."

"Yes, Your Highness." The guard replied robotically. His master had always prepared meticulously when it involved Miss Kiara but he really didn't know what he saw in her.

'This will be a long day.' The guard thought as he mechanically replied to each of his master's requests.

Sion was still giving out orders when he halted his footsteps.

"Also when we're in there, I don't want anyone to disturb us. Absolutely no one. Understand?"

"Yes your highness."

"Alright then, you may take your leave." Sion said before taking a right and going past a door into a room filled with books.

This was his study.

Going around the table, he walked briskly towards a door at the side of the room and opened it, revealing the insides of an intricately designed large bedroom. Antiques from various places around the world were artistically placed at different sites of the bedroom. The bed was laid with fabrics of high quality, even the drapes weren't left out as they could rival the finest garments worn by the affluent beings of Luna and other worlds.

Gliding past the glamour and luxury with his white robes fluttering slightly with his movements, Sion doesn't spare them a glance as he approached the cellar placed at a corner in the room.

He grabbed an exotic bottle of wine and two golden goblets encrusted with purple diamonds before walking back out of the room with a skip in his step.

Anyone could tell that he was plain ecstatic to meet his love interest.

After placing the things he grabbed on the study table, he took the books that were present off and placed them neatly in the bookcase.

He had just drawn one of the window curtains open when he heard a little knock on the door.

"Your Highness, Miss Kiara is here to see you."

Dropping his hands and holding them behind him, he adjusted his slightly crooked collar and cleared his throat, "Let her in."

At the drop of his command, the door opened to reveal a beautiful maiden garbed in a purple sequenced bias cut gown and a velvety jacket.

Blinking her amethyst coloured eyes at Sion, Kiara strided into Sion's study with a smirk on her flawless face revealing a peek of one of her fangs.

"Hello Sir Sion. How are you?" She asked before sitting herself down at the only table in the room.

"I'm very well Miss Kiara. To what do I owe the honour of your visit today?" Sion asked with a gentlemanly smile as he sat opposite Kiara.

"Oh nothing really. I just wanted to chat about our recent business deal." Kiara slurred.

The butler who brought Kiara to the study followed her in after a few seconds and set the freshly prepared pot of hot tea and a plate of snacks on the table, briefly halting their conversation.

Taking a step back, the butler bowed his head and asked, "Do you need anything else Your Highness?"

At his question, Kiara raised a brow but decided to keep mute.

"No. That will be all. But please no interruptions." Sion said before waving his butler off.

At the click of the close of the door, Kiara opened her mouth, "Sir Sion, I've been meaning to ask but why do you let your servants refer to you as 'Your Highness'?" Kiara asked as her fingers circled around the rim of the snacks plate.

"Ah, it's nothing too serious. You could just say that I want to feel like royalty." Sion laughed in amusement as his golden eyes followed the movement of her fingers, slightly drawn to it.

"The snacks are all yours. I got them prepared based on your preferences. I hope you like them." Sion commented.

"Why thank you Sir Sion." Kiara said before grabbing a round shaped crusty snack and popped it into her mouth.

"Have some tea." Sion said as he reached for the tea pot, excited that he was going to serve tea to his love interest for the first time.

He was about to pour tea into Kiara's teacup when she called out to him,

"Sir Sion, don't you think it's quite ridiculous?"

"What is?"

"The way your servants address you. You should change it. I personally believe that Amaris is the most suited for such a title. Don't you think?" Kiara asked with a tilt of her head before popping another snack into her mouth.

Sion's hands shook at Kiara's words, even the tea in the pot rippled.

'I am ridiculous? Heh! I got carried away by her presence forgetting that I was only able to get this far because of Amaris. Really pathetic I'd say.'

Struggling to regain his composure, Sion resumed pouring the tea into each of their teacups. "Yeah. I think Sir Amaris is the best fit for the title. I'll be sure to listen to Miss Kiara's advice and change the form of address here."

"That would be wonderful, Sir Sion." Kiara said as she took her teacup and sipped out of her tea, completely oblivious to the impact her words had on the fox.

Deliberating for a few seconds, Sion voiced out,

"Miss Kiara, I'd really appreciate it if you dropped the honorifics and just referred to me as Sion. We are business partners by the way." Sion stated with a polite smile on his face.

"Uhh, I don't think that will be right Sir Sion. I wouldn't want the Luns to misunderstand so let's just leave it as it is, okay?" She said, dropping her teacup back on the table.

"Alright then. If you say so." Sion said with the same polite smile on his face. However if one were to look closely they'd realize it was a stiff one.

He had been ridicules twice today by his love interest and each time was because of the same person, Amaris Lun.

At the thought of his rival, Sion couldn't help but reflect on Roe's words.

'…doesn't change the fact that he is and will always be stronger than you. Please let that sink in.'

Those were Roe's words and he couldn't believe that in just a few minutes, he had been proven right. He, Sion couldn't compare to a dust on Amaris's shoes.

There was no room for comparison between them because Amaris would definitely receive more love and approval than he did.

This was the main reason why he executed his plan from the very beginning and he wanted to take it slow but he had been provoked severally!

So he wasn't going to wait anymore!

He was commencing his plan in full force right now. He wanted to see just how high and mighty Amaris would be when he lost everything that ever belonged to him.

How would the people see him if he was reduced to nothing?

'Well one will never know till they tried, right?' Sion thought as his fingers rubbed against his lips.

'And the first on the list to get snatched? My lovely Kiara.' Sion pondered further as he laid his golden eyes on Kiara.

Noticing Sion's intense gaze, Kiara raised her right brow and questioned, "What's wrong?"

Sion shook his head, dropped the teacup in his hand and reached for the wine bottle and goblets.

He stood up, went round the table to stand before Kiara and asked instead,

"Wine?"

"Oh sure!" Kiara said immediately, her purple eyes twinkling in delight at the thought of having some tasty wine which she very much preferred to the bland tea.

Half-sitting on the table, Sion poured wine for both of them. Smirking evilly as he handed Kiara's goblet to her.

"Cheers?" Sion toasted.

"Cheers!" Kiara toasted back, a pretty smile on her face.

'Yeah. Cheers to me Kiara. You're mine now.' Sion thought as he gazed at Kiara's face over the rim of the goblet.
