Don't underestimate the wolves

'He's a wolf!'

Elis thought in trepidation as her mind registered the low growl that was inherently associated with a particular species.

Suddenly Elis was brought back to when she was still a little girl. In the room that was painted in turquoise green and streaks of gold, Miss Iris sat beside her on the bed, a book in hand, and patiently explained all the different types of otherworldly species to her.

"Now out of all these beings, the most interesting ones are the wolves." Iris's patient voice resonated in the young girl's ears as she turned a page.

"Why?" Elis asked in her baby voice, her doe-like eyes sparkling with curiosity as she stared at the picturesque drawing of the wolves in the book.

"Hmm, that's because they hardly ever appear. They don't interfere in the power struggles between the kingdoms and have integrity. Unlike the Fadas…" Iris said, her eyes darkening a tad bit as she mentioned the number one thorn in her side.
