Chapter 25: Memorial

Sanemi opened his eyes as he slowly got in a sitting position. He checked his surroundings as he found himself in his room. Sweat appeared on his forehead as memories of yesterday came pouring back in.

His fingers clenched a little as it formed a claw-like hand sign. Sparks of blackish energy appeared around it as Sanemi's expression grew more raged.

'calm down Sanemi...I had to hold 'him' back yesterday from starting a massacre A mature male voice said in Sanemi's head.

'He was the one who was enraged you know.' Another hoarse and distorted voice said in his head.

Hearing these voices Sanemi again laid back in his bed and closed his eyes.

"Welcome back 'King' " The hoarse voice said as Sanemi opened his eye to see his Inner hollow and his Bankai spirit.

Sanemi's hollow spirit had straight white hair, shining silver iris, pitch-black sclera, and smooth pale white skin. He was wearing pale white samurai robes with a raven black colored belt. He also had a scar coming from the forehead passing the Right eye. On his waist, a peculiar-looking mask rested.

"you need to come here more often it's not easy to hold your hollow spirit back every time," Sanemi's Bankai spirit said as it appeared behind Sanemi.

Sanemi's Bankai spirit had the appearance of a beautiful girl of Asian descent. She had long pink hair and jade-like skin. She wore similar clothing to what Sanemi wears in Bankai form. A white haori with a crimson dragon on the back and pink sakura petal-like design along the borders.

"Sorry just not in the mood today," Sanemi said as he looked towards the sky of his spirit world.

"Loss of someone is always inevitable...your dream is to be the R.O.B...R.O.B. is some who is eternal Sanemi...you must accept that...bonds that you created as a mortal will be lost in this journey to divinity" The Bankai spirit said as she leaned on Sanemi's shoulder.

"you have the weirdest way to comfort someone about death you know hime?" Sanemi's hollow spirit said as he appeared beside Sanemi.

"A fiend like you shall only refer to me as Sakuya-hime," Sakuya said as she gave Sanemi's hollo spirit a dirty look.

"Look here man, you have suffered the loss of family and friends before so it should be nothing new to cope out of. Besides you have me to take care of...I might just take control next time you have your belly exposed like this" Sanemi's hollow spirit said as he sat on the edge of the cliff.

"You called hime's method weird yet her you are being a tsundere," Sanemi said as a slight smile found its way on his face.

"Who the fuck are you calling tsundere!" Sanemi's hollow spirit yelled as enten appeared in his hands.

"Thanks, Kazuya...I guess I need to learn more about spirit powers anyways" Sanemi said as he disappeared in blue particles.

"I guess I will be taking my leave as well then," Sayuka said as she disappeared in embers.

"letting go of someone you hold dear...is also the part of growing up..." Kazuya muttered.

Sanemi opened his eyes and found himself back on his bed. Slowly he stood up and looked outside of his window only to see the storm caused by his Conqueror's haki had yet to stop.

'I need to get a funeral for them...at the very least a burial' Sanemi thought as he stood up and walked out of the room.

"Captain are you alright?" Anne was the first one to greet him as she approached Sanemi.

"I am fine Anne...first I will hoast thier funeral...then I have an announcement..." Sanemi said as he patted Anne's head lightly and left.

"Captain..." Anne muttered as she looked towards Sanemi's back as he exited the building.

Sanemi exited the building as the rain poured and lightning roared. He stared towards the skies for a second before he made his way to where the bodies were laid. Due to his burst yesterday no one was able to tend to the bodies.

Sanemi approached the three bodies which still lay on the ground in thier previous fashion. Sanemi slowly weaved a set of hand signs. The ground underneath the bodies rumbled as logs of wood appeared from it.

The wood then coiled around the three bodies creating three wooden coffins. Sanemi pulled out three pre-made seals from his pocket and placed them on the coffins.

"Captain!" one of the crewmates called out. Out of about three thousand, the Oni pirates were now among the number of 1506.

"Captain no need to use those old wooden coffins we can have the craftsmen prepare some of the best..."

"No need...inform and wake the rest...those who can walk properly to come towards the west cliff...we will hold the funeral there," Sanemi said cutting off his crew's opinions as he carried the coffins.

Every member of the Oni Pirates who could walk was present where Sanemi had dug the holes for the coffins. A few minutes later Sanemi appeared with his Bankai activated(In his Bankai clothes).

Sanemi came as he put the coffins in thier place and buried them there. With that, he place three rocks with their names carved on them in order. Anne, Adam, and Duvalin placed a few flowers around the tombs as Sanemi stood in the middle.

"Today we lost three of our division leaders and many other of our crew members...by the hands of the marines and world government...but I am not done...Those who want to quit, today is your chance, and those who don't gather your weapons and start preparing...for the new era" Sanemi said.

To everyone's amazement flames gathered in Sanemi's palms ignoring the rain. Sanemi then pointed his palm towards the skies as the flames shot like fireworks and blasted in golden light as soon as they reached the clouds.

With a single movement, Sanemi cleared the cloudy skies over the island as everyone started towards the sky in amazement.

"You didn't have to say, captain! Like most, I will follow to death!"

"To the new era!!"

"To the Oni Pirates!!"

The whole crew shouted in support as thier hearts burned with vengeance against marines and the world government alike.

The very same day the funeral for the three fallen division leaders of Oni Pirates, a newspaper article regarding the raid against the Oni Pirates was published worldwide.

"Yesterday on the date of 7/8/1608 The Marines executed a raid on the despicable Oni Pirates led by Sanemi the Crimson Oni. In an interview with Sengoku, the Fleet Admiral himself tells us that the Crimson was responsible for many hideous crimes along with his crew.

In his own words, Sengoku describes the Oni pirates as wild animals. 'They were unpredictable and determined to spread mayhem'. The Oni Pirates were reported to have ten division leaders with five of them always on board. The rest five were spotted guarding the territories taken over by The Oni Pirates.

The Oni pirates were reported to have taken over six small kingdoms outside of world government protection. The Kingdoms were spread in Paradise and New World. The government also believes that there are multiple other unknown kingdoms that are in the possession of the Crimson Oni.

The records of the Raid concludes there were initially over three thousand marines who were selected to participate in this. The participants consisted of Marine Admiral: Akainu, Vice-Admirals: Jerry, Noe, Fintmust, Dee, Joe, Ferry, Jack, Jhonny, Ram, Captain: .....

The marines managed to get a victory over the Oni Pirates by defeating thier crew members and three of their division leaders. Mary Rosita: Captain of the first division, with the bounty of 𝔅 1,053,000,000, Otto Puck: Captain of the second division, with the bounty of 𝔅 1,009,200,000 and Afriel: Captain of the 𝔅 425,000,000.

Sadly the marines too lost a lot of the members who participated in this raid. The deceased member's name and credentials will be broadcasted at a later date.

Sanemi, the Crimson Oni the leader of the crew was nowhere to be seen at the time of the raid and is considered that he ran away from the potential battle. This may conclude the story of the Oni Pirates who caused mayhem around the whole Grandline. "

"Captain did you!" Duvalin's voice came as he approached Sanemi who was still standing over the graves of fallen division leaders and members.

"Yes...I read about it...the marines will not be satisfied by just killing our brothers and sisters it seems...no worries...I have already planned the auspicious day for our reply..." Sanemi said as he clenched the handle of Aliyeh.

"The day of war and bloodshed is going to come when the marines will be at thier highest...the time when they think they are strongest we will bring them and thier spirits down at the same day...it is just the wait for about two years," Sanemi said as embers leaked from the cracks in the surface of Aliyeh.
