Chapter 9: Aftermath

Previously on Living in Idle...

He jumped back to regain his footholds. The behemoth didn't let this go as it charged in with its threatening pincers snapping dangerously. Seeing this, the Knight Baron didn't falter as it dashed towards it to intercept. He leaped into the air landed on the back of the behemoth and raised his shield and brought the sharper part down on the crevice of its carapace, successfully injuring it going by the painful and agonizing shriek it's giving. The Knight Baron tried to pull the shield back but it was stuck, so he let it go and grabbed the mace with both hands and smashed onto the shield with all of his might, driving it deeper into the flesh of the behemoth. It gave shriek after shriek as it throws itself around and trying to throw the Knight Baron off and reach its back with its pincers but to no avail. The Knight Baron didn't let this opportunity go as it smashed and smashed, until the shield is fully embedded into the flesh of the behemoth.

The Knight Baron jumped back to the ground, and with a final leap into the air as high as he could, he brought down the sharper end of the mace upon its head, piercing its exoskeleton then coming out of its jaws then to the ground.

The behemoth gave a final guttural cry and slumps thunderously to the ground, motionless.

Ace: "That. Was. Epic! Hahaha~! I knew it! Real mecha battles are a lot more awesome that watching it on screen!"

He exclaimed while still excited about the fight just now.

Sure, it wasn't that epic like two Gundams shooting lasers and cannons at each other, but this real-life mecha battle did possess its own charm~!

Hearing him, Touya, who have already climbed down of the Frame Gear chuckled. He left the Knight Baron outside for now, hoping that the disgusting looking blood that spilled all over it to come off naturally, if not, he'll have to use his magic, then if that still doesn't work out, or worse, it doesn't get rid of the god-awful smell, then he'll have to face the wrath of Rosetta, and that giant wrench-wielding loli.

Touya: "You really are like me, aren't you, Ace-san?"

He stated as he approached Ace.

Ace: "Hm? By like you, you mean by liking mecha?"

Touya: "No, not that. You know, our circumstances, by having and remembering our past lives."

Ace: "Oh, that. Yup, I'm also a reincarnator."

Ace answered with a smile. Besides, he has already made it clear since earlier that he doesn't want to hide it with Touya, after all, his secret is also Touya's, so what's the point in hiding?

Touya: "Haaaaah~. That made me relieved, you know? For all this time I thought that I was the only one to be reincarnated in this world~. So are there others like us? In this world I mean."

Ace: 'Wha~. This is the first time that I saw her this emotional. Where has your composure gone to, Guildmaster?'

Touya: 'Heh~. I really thought with her somewhat cold face and that level of composure, nothing could break her poker face, but, guess I was wrong?'

The two thought as they watched the usually calm Guildmaster continued to rant.

This 'sermon' have gone for an hour already, but still doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. The other Guild officials from the Reflet branch are already working on the corpses of the two behemoths. Though they try their best to do their job seriously, they couldn't stop their eyes from wandering towards the two figures that's currently being chewed out by their Guildmaster.

Such power at such a young age, just up to what extent would they grow in the future? Different thoughts were running through their heads, but there's a solid conclusion that they have unitedly came to, "Those two are monsters. Freaks of nature."

[After another hour...]

Ace: "So~. Do we receive another title?"

Ace asked to change the topic. And it's a good thing that he did, if not, then who knew for how long will they have to endure Relisha's sermon?

Relisha: "You-... Haaaaah~. Fine, let's stop this for now. Touya:" Heeeh~. Finally, I thought my ears would start bleeding if that have continued for another hour or so."

Ace:" Hahahaha~! I know right. Though, it's still nice to get another title in my Guild Card~. Even though it sounds like a lazy naming, but it'll do. For now, I have; One-Man Army, Dragon Slayer, Bane of the Beasts, Asura, and the new one, Behemoth Killer. A total of five. How 'bout you, Touya-bro?"

Touya: "Well, I also have Dragon Slayer, then Golem Buster, and this one, Behemoth Killer, so I only have a total of three."

Ace: "Eeeeh~? Harem King still wasn't added in your Guild Card?"

Hearing this, black lines appeared on Touya's face.

Touya: "They tried, but I did not agree to it."

He answered with the corner of his mouth twitching continuously.

Ace: "Pfft~! Hahaha~! I'm just messing with you~. Anyway, do you want me to fly you to the locations of those magic stones? Relisha did say that the kingdom has already agreed to it."

Touya: "Yeah, I think that would be better."

Ace: "Alrighty~! Let's go then!"

The next day, the name of the famed Asura along with the name of the Grand Duke once again resounded all across the different kingdoms. Words and reports of Ace's recent task of killing a behemoth and making a pincushion out of it rang through the ears of countless Adventurers who couldn't stop their admiration for the young man, yet they also have wry smiles on their faces, saying the same thing; "He's done it again, that's way too overboard..."

On the male side...

One adventurer said, "Man~! That guy just keeps on making commotions even though he's all the way to the other side of the world."

Another said, "Hahahaha~! That's just to be expected of The Great Asura, 'ya know?! Just a few months ago, we heard him make a kebab out of a dragon, and now a pincushion out of a behemoth! Hahaha! What's next?! Refining a jewelry out of a whole orichalcum golem?! Hahahaha~!"

Then another, "I know, right?! It's crazy! And did you hear what the Grand Duke used to kill his behemoth?! A giant metal knight! Man~, I wish I could have seen that!"

Then another, "Me too! I'm really envious right now! Hey, do you think Asura-sama tried to use that giant metal knight?!"

Then another, "I don't know, maybe? Judging from his personality, he could easily befriend the Grand Duke, enough for him to let him ride that giant knight."

Then another, "Yeah~! He did befriended us all easily though, that guy is way too fun and easy to get along with~!"

Then another, "Hahahaha~! You're right! But speaking of the Grand Duke, he's also an Adventurer, right? The same rank as Asura-sama, and wasn't Asura-sama also been offered the rank of nobility?"

As for the female Adventurers, well... they're mostly the same; "Kyaaaaaahh~! Asura-sama~!", "I want your child~!", "Please marry me!" and such...

While on a certain Palace's courtyard, along with the crisp sound of someone training, a peerlessly beautiful young woman with golden blonde hair and dark blue eyes could be seen training with the sword, a booming laughter erupted, which caused her to stop.

???: "What happened to you, grandfather?"

She curiously asked a man with white hair and beard, as well as possessing an imposing figure. Though he looks old from his hair and slightly wrinkly skin, it is evident that he's still full of vitality.

Old man: "Hahahaha~! Well, my dear granddaughter, you see..."
