After Caxon had left the store and the village out of the same gate he had come in from, he didn't really have a goal in mind.
'Amon do you have any ideas what I should do next, I could always increase my mana core or work on my elemental control but I don't know what else I should focus on'
'My lord if I would say anything other than those two, I would say martial techniques would be most important.'
'What is a combat technique?'
'A combat technique is just a way to say, how you use weapons, there are martial techniques for all kinds of weapons, from bows, to fists and any things else you can think of.'
'I see can you train me in these.'
'Sir I wish I could but out of all the generals from Lord Caxon's old army I am the least qualified to help you. I only know a little in the art of the sword and I know fists combat technique that relies on coating your hands in an element and you do not currently have the mana or elemental compress comprehension to be able to use it.'
While Caxon wanted to start training his swordsman ship he did not have a second sword to train against Amon. Caxon continued to talk about what could progress Caxon's strength however nothing was a solid plan or anything they could put into motion right now.
So Caxon simply walked into the forest hoping to find another kobold with a sword so he and Amon could start right away.
After one day of traveling Caxon had only seen a rabbit which he was currently eating. The sun had just been going down and the fire Caxon had made to cook the rabbit was still alive. As Caxon was eating he started to smile.
"Well at least I found more than one rabbit today."
As Caxon said this he summoned Silver to take care of the 2 wolves that were starting to stalk him. Since Silver use to be the alpha of these wolves he was easily able to them out and as the last one started to run it tracked it down.
"HEY STOP EATING THE THOSE, I AM GOING TO SELL THEM. Jeez you aren't even alive why do you need food."
Caxon yelled at Silver as he was about to devore one of the corpses. As the wolf stopped Caxon could feel sadness coming from Silver as his puppy dog eyes betrayed his menacing appearance.
"FINE let me skin it then you can eat whatever is left."
After Caxon used a small knife to take the 2 coats off of the wolves before he put them in his backpack and allowed Siver to eat the remains.
Caxon ignored the wolf as he went back to finish his rabbit. As Caxon ate so did Silver and he quickly devoured the first wolf whole before moving on to the second one.
As Caxon was eating his eyes opened in shock as he looked over to Silver who was about half way done with the second wolf. As he looked over, he saw Silver's mana explode as his mana condensed quickly and his body seemed to shine, his bones grew stronger, his claws grew sharper and his fur became tougher.
'AMON what is happening?! How is he becoming stronger?'
'Well, he was very close to developing a core and becoming a class one robot already and those wolves seemed to have pushed him over the edge.'
'I KNOW THAT, I MEAN HOW IS A WOLF THAT IS DEAD DEVELOPING A BEAST CORE?'
'That is a question that Lord Caxon tried to solve for hundreds of years. Even when you desummon him or he dies and you recreate his body his strength will still have grown. Caxon came to the conclusion that his soul retains some kind of memory of its strength.'
'Well, I can feel that Silver's soul has grown slightly more powerful, luckily my soul is more powerful after my mana core grew.'
Caxon put this thought behind him and started training after a few hours he went to sleep briefly until the early morning. As he woke up Caxon's main goal for today was to find another sword for Caxon.
As he started walking around Caxon had circled back to the road as he was trying to make a snake like shape with the road as the center to make sure he didnt miss anything. As he crossed over the road Caxon heard a man yelling.
As he got closer the man turned out to be a dwarf who was yelling at a young man picking up hammers from a tipped over cart.
"Oi how did you manage this one you buffoon. I don't see a single rock on this road, it's the cleanest road we have gone on and you STILL find something to run over and tip the cart. Tell me is it a joke at this point?"
As Caxon walked up to the pair the human looked at Caxon as he smiled and nodded.
"Do you two need any help?" Caxon asked as he approached
"Well yes if you could teach this one how to pull a cart it would definitely save me some time. Luckily, he isn't as useless at forging or I would have to leave him here and carry the cart myself."
As the dwarf indirectly complimented him the boy he smiled before quickly hid his face so his teacher wouldn't see. The boy then hurriedly answered Caxon before the dwarf said anything else.
"Thank you sir, but I will pick these up there isn't much you can do here."
Since Caxon was mostly just saying this to be polite he simply nodded his head wished the two good luck and moved on looking for kobolds.
When Caxon had left two powerful men in black armor appeared before the dwarf.
"Sir Sathod, we agreed not to mention your training methods with the prince but I believe forcing him to pull a cart is unnecessary. Also when an unknown stranger approaches the prince you should stand between them and the prince incase they mean to do him harm."
"OI if you two DINGLEWITS want to train the prince in smithing yourselves be my guests. I will stand back and watch as the prince's greatest talent is ruined by a couple of long legged wastes of space."
With this the dwarf stomped off and walked away while grumbling about how he didn't ask for this job and complaining in general. Before he could get far the prince step forward and yelled out.
"Master Sathod please I know I am very hard to deal with but please continue to guide me. I very much enjoy the art or black smithing and I would love to continue learning it from a great master such as yourself."
The dwarf looked back at the nervous prince who looked desperately into his eyes. The dwarf shook his head before he looked at the guards angrily.
"Well you heard the boy, you're called shadow guards, so go back into the shadows and guard... Melon headed.. bloody useless humans thinking they are so tall."
The dwarf dismissed the guards before he started mumbling and complaining to himself once more.
