Attacking the Base

Since Caxon had dropped everything else to only improve his mana core it only took him a few days to become a rank 6. He once again spent time to make sure he could use perfect mimicry even if he wouldn't need it for the coming fight.

'OK Amon are you ready to start?'

'Always young master.'

With that the two once more moved towards the Bandit camp. They made sure to scout the camp once again just to make sure that the bandits' habits and routines didn't change for some reason while they were away.

However, this fear was unnecessarily since if anything the bandits looked even more relaxed as the ones on watch fell asleep and the ones that were supposed to patrol around just found somewhere to sit and play cards.

Caxon summoned silver as he was needed to pull off their plan. The idea was that Caxon and silver would go together while Amon went alone. This was because they needed to kill as many bandits as quickly as possible before anyone noticed, however if any of them were allowed to scream the mission would be a failure.

Caxon and Amon discussed the final details while waiting for it to get dark before they split apart. Caxon and silver went towards the left while Amon disappeared into the shadows moving towards the right. The team quickly started their slaughter of the bandits.

As they ran through the cover of the night Caxon and silver quickly made it to the first group of bandits. This was two bandits leaning against some trees trying to rest.

Caxon didn't even slow down as he ran up to one of them, he made sure to decapitate his opponent while silver bite the neck of the other one making it impossible for any noise to leave their mouth. The attack plan worked perfectly but Caxon did not pause to think about it as he continued to move as quickly as he could to the next group.

This plan worked well until the pair ran into a group of 3 bandits together. At this point Caxon and Silver had taken out 3 pairs of bandits however Caxon knew that he couldn't kill two bandits fast enough with the method he had been using. By the time he cut the head off of one of the bandit and Silver took the second one the last bandit would definitely be able to shout for help.

As Caxon was thinking he suddenly smiled as he looked towards Silver and sent him a mental command the wolf nodded before the two moved towards the group.

The three bandits were sitting around a stump playing cards. They were all supposed to be keeping watch but they had been at this camp for months and no one had ever even come near them so they ignored their captains' orders.

"This is the 3rd game you have won in a row. If I find you are hiding cards up your sleeves again, I swear I will cut your fingers off."

"Oh, shut up don't be mad because you don't know how to play."

The bandits started arguing about the game and the argument seemed like it was getting more heated until one of the stood in shock as he started to draw his weapon

"LOO..."

Before he could warn the others, it was their turn to be shocked as a giant silver wolf appeared from the darkness and tore out the bandit's throat.

Before the other two even had a chance to be surprised Caxon who had originally shocked the first man used his own sword in his right hand and the sword Amon used for teaching in his left to cut off both bandits heads at the same time.

Although he had never practiced using two swords at once, he was plenty strong enough to wield the weapons with one hand and he had enough experience fighting with one sword in either hand that he didn't find it challenging.

However, as he felt excitement and the possibility of wiping out the entire camp without a fight his hopes were crushed instantly as he heard a yell.

"INTRUDERS OVER HERE HELP INTRUDERS."

Caxon turned to see two men who just so happen to be walking over to join the card game screaming for help.

Caxon was upset that he wasn't able to take out as many bandits as he thought before the camp was alerted but there wasn't anything he could do about it now.

Right after the bandits started yelling the camp was on high alert as all the bandits drew their weapons and started to move towards Caxon.

Amon nearly instantly appeared before Caxon ready to move into phase two of the plan. Before any of the bandits got to them Caxon used this chance to gauge how successful the first part was.

'How many did you end up taking out?'

'17 young master I tried to be as quick as I can I am sorry to disappoint.'

CAxon smiled bitterly as he and Silver combined had only taken out 9 but he just shook his head as the first bandits from the camp could be seen and they instantly charged at the group.

Part 2 of the plan was pretty simple. Caxon, Amon, and silver would kill as many of the bandits as they could and hope that they came at them one at a time without any teamwork. Then once the captain, who was the only bronze core in the camp showed up Amon would split off and try to fight him while Silver and Caxon attempted to stay alive against the large number of bandits still in the camp.

Of course, the bandits did not come at the group one at a time since most of them had been in group or all came from the same place. With Amon's help even though the bandits came in groups bigger than theirs Caxon still did not feel much pressure as the bandits were unskilled even if they had a higher mana core then him.

"WHO DARES ENTER MY CAMP?!"

When the man the bandits called "Captain" showed up Caxon started to feel anxious. Even after Amon and Caxon cut down the bandits that charged at them there were still 14 bandits left who had made rank behind their captain ready to charge and surround Caxon at any time.

Without hesitation Amon tried to use his shadow element to kill the captain from range, a black spike came out of the shadow that was cast in front of the man. However, he simply raised his fist and caught the spike, even though it moved at a fast speed and should have been very sharp the captain simply covered his hand in mana and that was enough to protect him.

"Interesting, kill everyone else leave the old man to me."

'Good luck young master be sure to stay safe no matter what.'

Amon charged the captain as he drew him away from Caxon.

The bandits that were left smiled as they all charged at Caxon together.

"Well fuu.."
