"When I first meet you all of the students this year, I did not expect much, and for most of the students I was right. But for you guys I have to say you did well...for a bunch of long legs."
For the first time this year Caxon saw the dwarf with a smile as they looked at the students who had dedicated time into smithing without abandoning it like so many others. However, the smile on his face did not last long as immediately after Caxon saw the dwarf make the first truly sad face that he had ever seen.
"Unfortunately, there is not much more I can teach you from now on. You have all shown that you can forge a regular weapon with no mana just fine. But to break beyond that and forge a graded weapon is difficult. The problem is that the materials to make these kinds of items are not cheap and as first years, especially for you taking this as a minor the academy cannot afford to give you unlimited resources to train yourselves.
