Soon, a group of servants rushed out of the villa. They seemed to have been waiting for a long time, and even Woolley came.
Lena was saved soon.
She was wet all over. When she saw Alina, she cried out immediately. She asked with a grievance, "Sister, what did I do wrong? Can't I correct myself? Why did you do this to me?"
She could feel that everyone's eyes were focused on her, with accusation and gloating.
She shook her head and gestured to them, not me.
Only Lena knew what she meant.
Lena pretended to be shocked at first, and then burst into tears and threw herself into Woolley's arms. "Aunt Woolley, the sister said... She hated me... Why? I don't understand. She hated me so much that she was about to kill me?"
Lena did it on purpose.
She wanted to make everyone misunderstand Alina and think that she was a cruel woman who could even hurt her sister!
Judging from the expressions of those people, it was obvious that they had believed Lena's words.
Alina bit her lower lip and didn't defend herself anymore, allowing those people to point at her back and gossip.
"This woman is so vicious!"
"Exactly. I heard that young master was going to marry Lena, but she intervened and ruined it."
"I always feel pity for her when she doesn't speak. She is so vicious. No wonder young master doesn't like her."
Curling up in Woolley's arms, Lena secretly revealed a complacent smile, but she snorted and said, "Auntie Woolley, maybe my sister is just out of her mind for a while. Don't blame her. She will be sad."
"Since she doesn't want to see me, I'll leave now. Auntie Woolley, I'm sorry to bother you these two days."
What a pitiful move.
Woolley couldn't bear it and shouted indiscriminately, "Alina, you don't deserve to be the young mistress of the Li family at all! Get out of the Li family right now!"
A slight smile suddenly appeared on Alina's face.
She finally understood.
Perhaps it was because Lena wanted to kick her out of the Li family that she tried her best to put on such a good play and put huge blame on her.
But she didn't do it. She would never admit it.
At the thought of this, she took out a pen and paper and wrote, "Check the surveillance video."
Lena didn't panic. Instead, she stepped forward and straightened her back with a righteous look. "Sister, why don't you admit it till now? Maybe if you admit it, Woolley will forgive you and won't drive you out."
Wang chipped in, "Madam, you know, the surveillance camera is broken."
Seeing that Woolley nodded, Alina knew clearly that what she said was useless at the moment.
Was the monitor broken or was it turned off in advance? Lena couldn't set her up by herself. Behind her was the whole Li family.
Alina should have thought that no one would stand on her side. They all thought that she was dumb and didn't want to seek justice for herself and that she didn't deserve Stephanie.
Everything was premeditated.
Unconsciously, Alina's face was covered with a layer of gray, with a bit of despair.
While observing, Woolley continued, "Apologies for what you have done."
Apologize?
Raising her head and glancing around the crowd, she wrote on the paper in neither humble nor pushy manner, "it's not me who should apologize, but her!"
