The next morning, the entire Imperial Palace was in an uproar. 

The Crown Prince was getting remarried to the Crown Princess Consort.

This news was as shocking as a clap of thunder. 

In the Amayan Empire, remarriage between the same spouses didn't occur. As a matter deemed sacred, the Amayans believed it happens and should happen only once. Remarriage between the same spouses was scorned for fear that the matter of marriage would lose its significance. 

As such, the instant the Crown Prince and Crown Princess Consort's remarriage spread, the entire Imperial Capital was thrown into upheaval.

"The Crown Prince is going to remarry the Crown Princess Consort? How can this be? Is marriage a joking matter?"
